Games like this are the only ones with decent proper ray tracing, like Quake, Quake 2 and the original Doom games. Most if not all other games with RT are not proper, just RT shadows, or something minor like reflections. With the current 4000 series GPUs being in the crapper for price/performance, at least it makes owning a 3000 series card kinda worth it.. Plus there's hardly any new demanding games even worth playing these days.
As a kid I only struggled with a few levels like ones on Star Road or whatever, the rest of the game was easy/moderately difficult at best. Mario 3 was more of a challenge, not sure why they insist on making most of the games easier these days, I guess it's part of the hand holding cry baby rubbish.
Big deal, the useless UK government "leaks" info we already knew about.
With GPU prices in the crapper, and hardly any new demanding games worth buying, this makes worth owning a decent RTX 3000 series card at least. Makes a noticeable difference just like with Quake, Quake 2 and the original Doom games with proper RT.
Index is not worth the huge premium over Quest 2 dude, i think I'd trust a user over on OCUK forums who has tried different headsets first. Guy on there said Index has more glare, Quest 2 hardly any.
Sounds like purposely gimping a game because of consoles again..
Not one mention of having the option of linking up your Quest 2 wirelessly or via cable to your PC. Funny how often I've seen that detail omitted, you also use your PC hardware to run demanding games, instead of the mobile chip in the headset.
Looks like the game is actually not all that hard to run, looks noticeably better on PC at 1440p and 4k too since PS5 is upscaling 1080p.
I'm sure if talking VR only, then many are already happy with their Quest 2 since you can tether via wifi, or link cable to your PC and use its hardware to power your games, as well as stand alone.
However it will be interesting to see how fast PSVR gets fully working on PC, unofficially or officially.
I've only had that with poorly made game cameras, like Dead Island, which has excessive camera sway.
If they can add BC for Switch on their next system it would probably be very easy to add DS and 3DS physical BC.
Do the bare minimum for maximum profit.. That's Nintendo when it comes to milking games and hardware.
Both versions should've had cross platform online play, and both versions should have been the unreleased remaster, with optional original n64 mode.
Funny, didn't know you had to wait years after the release of games like Half Life Alyx, to be able to play it.
It can be a lot more than "an extra few frames". This is just a lazy release, simple as that. It will hopefully be fixed in an update.
They should have had them released on cartridges as big game packs, and at a discount, and early on.
That means an even longer wait for them to drop in price then, since Nintendo games hold their price as it is.
So when's the next system coming out? It's way overdue..
Easily up there with the best 2D Mario games of the time in my opinion, quality game.
It's also the simplistic design that makes it get boring after you've played it a bunch of times.
We do, we all know a successor is due any time, as one is always in the works. We also know it's overdue. It's useless information.
