@JackBNimble Indeed, and the use of reference images to create minor variations or similar art. Half the people here have probably never used or seen the AI tools spoken of, as they're likely using a phone and not a PC. I could go make an interactive visual novel/game in a short amount of time and am going to give it a go in the next couple of months as I have some experience with Clickteam products to do it.

That's exactly why the guy is against it, it will take people's jobs for certain tasks, maybe not everything. But it seems to be the common reason from those who rubbish it. And if some want to waste time instead of having their productivity greatly enhanced by AI tools in certain areas then that's their choice.

And for those who think an AI can't be like a person in a robot body, It's coming, even John Carmack thinks so.

Nonsense, plenty of experts who actually know what they're talking about and have first hand knowledge of coding disagree.

It's just the usual "time to crap on AI" rubbish from the clueless folk.

Yep, if you want performance you simply build/buy a decent PC. These handhelds are fine for medium to mostly low end resolution/performance gaming but don't expect more, and even then performance might leave more to be desired. It's fine for games with light requirements though.

Enjoyed his interview on Joe Rogan from a few years ago where he talks about AGI and thinks some early form of it is only some years away. I mean I guess I'd trust his opinion when it comes to AI, he knows his stuff and I am kind of a fan of the Quake series, maybe not as much as Half Life but still.

4000 series is a bust unless you come across a bargain and even then too many are vram limited for a card in this series, 4090 is a good uplift but super expensive.

Let's see if they pull the same crap with the 5000 series next year. Hopefully Nvidia comes back down to Earth.

The building mechanic isn't new also, other games had that a while ago like Garry's Mod.

Switch would struggle even more with that.

Yea, that was actually my first Zelda game and I really enjoyed it. Nintendo went in all kinds of directions with the game afterwards and now it looks like they're just gonna go copy & paste style for future versions.. This is pretty much what they do with almost all their games these days tho.

Unless they innovate or bring back some classics I will be avoiding their games in future.

They also keep recycling stuff with little change, Mario Kart, Zelda etc.. How about something different instead of the expected?

Oh I know. Lets make Mario Kart DS have missions which makes the game a bit more exciting and then never include it again.

90+fps would be much better.

"Critics say" yeah because people can't have their own subjective enjoyment, best not play anything but Zelda ever then!

I personally get bored of big open worlds. Give me a decent size world with a lot of replayability and a lot of stuff going on and I'd be happier, I'd get bored with the giant deserts.

At this point you may as well use the money towards a decent gaming PC which will also be able to do a lot of other useful stuff, just get the cheapest Steam Deck if you want mobile gaming, either will be kinda hobbled performance wise anyways unless you're careful with the settings.

Indeed, Nintendo can make certain games shine, like Mario Party where games with smaller areas/less going on look great. When it's more than that the system struggles.

Might be Megadrive/Genesis for me as #1 as it stood well next to the SNES.

Dreamcast did have good games but maybe not as many quality titles of that generation that it could've had if it were around for another 1-2 years, and it lacked support from some developers because they jumped ship or ignored it, it was a proper next gen machine for its time though in terms of power, ignoring no dual sticks or more storage on the discs.

Master System had some ...

The next Switch will be in much the same position as the Series S which I got highly downvoted for, but that will be the case for multiplats.

The original Doom feel stands out a mile with this one. It looks pretty half baked though.

There will also be emulators for their next system even if it has VR or something.

Wow Nintendo really? King of milking.. By the time this comes out you just know there's gonna be a PS5 Pro and upgraded Xbox, then Nintendo will be back to square 1 again. Then we'll have next gen GPUs for PC just around the corner which will pull even further ahead.

Maybe Nintendo doesn't care very much about multiplatform titles, they'll be able to run but that's only thanks to the Series S, and they'll be lucky to get a few years before actual nex...
