Most of the newer games were too easy, IMO easy = boring. Luckily there's some with decent challenge, especially once you beat the main game and unlock the harder mode.
Most likely the ones complaining are stuck on mid/low level hardware that's 4+ years old. Then they complain that games are too demanding when upgrading maybe once every 10 years. Lol
Right, and better performance/textures than consoles = higher spec requirements. I mean it makes sense, if you can't afford decent PC hardware then just stick to consoles.
Whatever they go with they will probably cheap out on the hardware. Did it with the Virtual Boy by using black and red colour, did it with the Wii, did it with the Wii U, did it with the Switch, did it with the New 3DS.. Need i say more?
When they cheap out it's usually because they don't want to put the extra money into the hardware too, not because it doesn't exist at the time. Guess that's what happens when you get greedy.
It wasn't the full game, it was buggy and unfinished but was interesting to see the physics and mess around in it.
Can't help but feel people will mess around with these assets and end up importing them into S&box, probably recreated for certain modes at least.
A 4090 will drive far above 60fps in most demanding games at 4k. You can do 4k60+ with a mid range 3000 series card if you're careful with the settings, and depending on how demanding the game is.
Games that are easy to run or moderately demanding will run over 60fps no problem with decent (not even high end) hardware too.
Limiting yourself to a 60hz 1080p screen these days with any mid range GPU that's 3000 series or above is a serious mistake, ...
I game at 4k 160hz, i won't upgrade til noticably faster screens come out. Trouble with OLED is you get flickering blacks due to the technology, or vrr flicker, however it's referred as.
Recently got a 13700k as it's better for video editing and has strong single & multicore performance, likely won't upgrade again until Arrow Lake, and i wanted to move away from AMD. 3D cache is good but it doesn't benefit every game, and the majority of apps make ze...
Dude i got 32GB DDR5 6400 CL32 kit recently, they won't go up in price any time soon, i think they're still forecast to drop more this year which they probably will slowly. Especially with sales down and not as much people buying hardware.
Consoles might be a little more optimised but it doesn't mean needing anywhere near 2x better hardware, sorry but that's nonsense and you know it.
@Kakashi Hatake
Nintendo cheaped out and used a screen that only showed red and black, likely the main (but not the only) reason it failed, sure the Gameboy didn't even have colour but for a VR device it's pretty inexcusable TBH. Other reason being it was on a stand and i imagine it would get uncomfortable after a short time.
I bet if it had the colours of a Master System or NES it would've done a lot better.
@Asplundh I don't think Valve pushed the envelope with graphics as much as they did in 2004 with Half Life 2, same with the physics, sad that there's hardly anything as good or even better these days in regards to physics.
I think Source 2 is capable of better than what you see in some of Alyx, if you check some of the screenshots there's definitely areas and models that appear to be more highly detailed than other areas IMO, which seems a bit odd. Go look up th...
PC likely has more titles than Xbox as well as all the Xbox games, so no need for it if you have a decently up to date one (not outdated junk) so yea.
Considering most/all Xbox games are on PC these days, PC & a Nintendo console, and possibly a PS5? Would be the best combination.
Mario Kart will probably be the same rehashed gameplay minus Mission Mode again.
We need a new Diddy Kong Racing.
Love how all the console trolls purposely ignore the fact you can link it up to your PC via wifi or cable, and use said hardware to play impressive games like HL Alyx, or that adult game called virt a mate.
Where's the self learning AI that should've been in some games years ago? Games like Killing Floor and L4D would benefit a lot from it.
You can connect to your PC via WIFI with Quest 2, or tethered. But if you're talking stand alone power, i mean it's a mobile chip.. what do you expect really.
Someone will probably easily get PSVR2 working on PC, whether games will take advantage of features is another question unless officially supported, or games being modded for that.
Too bad the guy has a bit of an attitude problem. Reminds me a little of the guy who does MLID, arrogant.
Looks damn good so far, character models look decent but was hoping they'd be a bit more realistic, everything else looks great though.
Now to wait for more info, previews and to decide whether to go PC or PS5.
