It probably deserves to be in the top 20, but DKR has a much better single player mode, and a lot more content than Mario Kart.
It's odd how most kart racers copy MK over DKR considering the difference in amount of stuff to do. Maybe it's just easier to copy a straight racing game with weapons rather than having variety.
Yup, one of the first PC games I played in 99 was Half Life, hope they got the foot back on the pedal for more great games.
Recently sold one of my headcrab zombie statues on ebay for £800, got over double my money back, Half Life still has a strong fan base.
Nintendo don't even use the best chips available in their consoles, just money grabbers.
You get jumps in performance every couple of years with hardware, usually good ones. I don't get wanting to wait longer for more of a jump. It's like people who upgrade their PC from a low end setup to a high end one like 10 years later, missed opportunity for at least 2-3 big upgrades in between, and they started with cheap stuff to begin with.
Junk sells cuz popularity. Tho Pokemon was never that good anyway IMO.
That's because it's only certain things that's being ray traced, the original Doom and Quake 2 look so good on PC because they have full RT, but there's little else. Minor RT just makes performance crap and makes hardly any difference to graphics.
EVs which now have tax in rip off Britain, but what else is new in this stinking police state of a country that tries to screw you out of every penny.
Sim style games like Flight Simulator and Gran Turismo are really boring IMO, they might look nice graphically but meh, give me an extreme sports or Road Rash style game over straight up racing any day.
Well, there is the Half Life 2 episodes, and HL Alyx, so technically the series had more than 2 games.. just not a follow up in the story to 2.
I mean more Valve games are coming, with one being rumoured close to completion. And then there's S&box (GMOD 2) which is still being worked on and will have a lot of user created game modes, handy for those that like the Source 2 engine.
The problem is they are taking ages to do anything, L4D2 is in dire ...
Way better games than Pokemon, don't get the love for it. Custom Robo Arena was far better.
All versions should've been better yea, the game had to be rushed out though so I guess the devs had no choice, who knows how long they'll spend doing patches though, wonder if much will change.
Or maybe even just PS5 and the new Xbox and PC, but of course they want to make as much profit as possible so it goes on everything.
The difference though is the Dreamcast was actually next gen for its time, unlike a few Nintendo consoles.
I honestly really am not excited in the least. With realistic games I get so bored really fast, especially flying/racing sims. Give me something fun with variety like Diddy Kong Racing, Starfox or Pilotwings with a decent challenge any day over realism.
They need to bring back Road Rash, Desert Strike and extreme sports style games.
I don't get it as I see nothing special about it, same as Pokemon. There's better games in the same genre, guess people just like buying junk
Ouch, that's going to sting for performance. They'll have to release those Pro ones in the next couple of years though no doubt.
Trash series. The combat in these games is extremely boring too, Custom Robo Arena is far better, and for turn based the Worms games on PC.
I had a fairly powerful PC when Crysis came out and wasn't that fussed on the game and it still didn't run that well. Half Life 2 in late 2004 was better, at least in my opinion, and was really worth building a new PC for at the time, again in my opinion. It also had a decent online deathmatch mode released shortly after.
PC will usually always give better performance and highest quality/resolution over a console for the multiplat games, with exception of crap ports...
There's also people who want to do more than just game on their PC, like using it for content creation such as video editing etc.
Top of the line is rarely good value for performance, you go for the parts that give most performance for the money, when it's possible of course, like Intel 13600k or 13700k make far more sense than a 13900k since you're most of the way there and saving a good amount of money.
With GPUs that's difficult at the moment, at least with the 4000 series from NGreedia anyway.
It is high but then again I've had 32GB for a while now and recently even got a 32GB 6400 DDR5 kit. 32GB DDR4 is actually pretty cheap these days. It helps if you do a lot of multitasking or editing videos.
