Or the same tired junk over and over with no changes - Mario Kart, Pokemon from Nintendo.
The next Switch will likely have the same issues as the Series S, but it will have maybe more modern chips so somewhat better in certain areas possibly. But the difference with Nintendo is that they need a lot of strong first party support.. So it likely won't matter as much (for Nintendo) as long as they push out stuff with no droughts, third party stuff on either Series S or the next Switch will not run as good as they do on PC or PS5/Series X.. That pretty much goes without saying thou...
They already said the next one would be an incremental upgrade.
Probably nothing worthy hardware wise in a mobile chip to upgrade to at the moment, for the cost that Valve would like to pay anyway.
Nintendo has a chance to catch up here in hardware, and if they bring good exclusives instead of rehashing the same junk over and over all will be well. I hope Nintendo uses some modern tech in their next device, Switch 2 should be using that new solid state co...
Obviously not sponsored.. cough.
Though it does look interesting. This could've been done years ago but developers obviously couldn't be bothered. It's like the physics in Half Life 2, hardly any games with physics on that level or even better since then.
When are we getting trained AI or AI that learns from players? This was also teased years ago with AI controlling computer players in certain games, but never implemented into any game AFAIK....
So if you took all the bonus stuff out of other games like Soul Calibur and just left the main mode, it'd be a better game? Nope. The reason that stuff is added in is to add replayability to the game because the main mode won't hold your attention for ages. It's like Crazy Taxi, fun in short bursts, but they added missions because they knew people would want more.
Then you have cheap skates like Nintendo who only added a Mission Mode in Mario Kart just once, the...
That depends, I've not played any of the Tekken games since 3.. The last great fighting game I owned was Soul Calibur on DC. Since then I've not really bothered with them, I find most of these games too shallow. However if they have a lot of extra modes and content, then sure.
Depends if there's Force mode and others, if it's just straight up standard fighting only then I'll probably not bother. I got the same way with Mario Kart, yes it's a good gam...
Any games that run on Series S might be ok on Switch 2, but they will be compromised versions. Nintendo need to go all out on games, which means no slacking and give us plenty of stuff, bring back Starfox, Pilotwings etc, don't give us the usual rehashes of Pokemon, Mario Kart.. Mario Kart is getting boring, wish they would mix it up or give it a proper SP mode like in DKR.
Probably runs crap. You need a 3060Ti minimum for decent'ish RT as well.
Even then there's only a few games worth playing that have a lot more going on with ray tracing, like the original Doom, Quake 1-2 and Half Life.. And that's pretty much it right now.
If it's anything like the first I'll completely avoid it. The camera swaying was awful, I'm almost certain it was one of the only games to make me feel nauseous because of that. The game wasn't even that good.. L4D and Killing Floor were better, even if both of them ended up getting repetitive.
I would choose a new Diddy Kong racing, at least the single player had much more substance..
I mean it's years after, obviously it's gonna be better in some ways otherwise something is wrong lmao. Heard lots of complaints about visual issues on PSVR2 tho, it's kinda like Valve's Index which suffers from some glare, which is barely to be seen on Quest 2. Higher price does not always = better.
Quest 2 is at the level where it's decent enough in clarity, can pair with your PC wirelessly or wired for unlimited power, unlike PSVR2. So yea, it depends...
I want to see a new ESPN Extreme Games, that first game on PS1 was so funny, and the video segments with that woman mocking you.
@sadraiden It's still relevant, snowflakes and their hurt feelings over stupid nonsense that doesn't physically hurt them.
At least you don't get treated like a criminal over it, unlike in pathetic Orwellian Britain. Police can't be bothered with trouble makers outside who take drugs, just move them on down the road.
But offend someone with petty insults online and it's arrest time, even if they insult you first.
Which is fine if you ignore the good ports, don't want to edit videos, don't want to run emulators or other things you can't on console, or get free online, or keyboard and mouse support for basically any game. I personally struggle using a controller with any FPS game since the 64, and KB & mouse are almost essential for certain types of games, just like a controller is for others.
@mandf
Of course there are a lot of lazy developers, but it's noticeably more so an issue these days than it used to be. But people act as if this has always been a problem just so they can say consoles are better. Look how easily a weak (in comparison to a decent PC) Steam Deck can emulate Switch games, and run them much better too.
Another issue is GPU pricing being completely stupid compared to how it used to be as well. Hopefully it will get bett...
Welcome to fanboy rubbish, as it's not always true.
Looks like the headset has visual issues too according to the comments on that article, unlike Quest 2.
Wii U was basically a 360 anyway, still underpowered at time of release.. And released at the tail end of that generation right before next gen.
You mean boring motion sickness simulator, like the first.
