But see, the game had a story, and you were part of it. Plus, the 'concept of the game' was to work at getting through it as "fast as possible" so making it longer wasn't the issue.
It had replay value, but most thought, because you get through it once, that it's all over.
Wrong.
It was designed for you to redo it, bettering your skills, and thus beating times.
Much how Medal Of Honor's Tier One ...
Also Egidem,
thunk how Activision dumped True Crime: Hong Kong . . that was shaping up to be an excellent game. We spent time with the dev team while in E3 2010, and you could feel the passion those guys had for the game.
Not even allowing the game to be finished, when it was so close to the final gate or milestone - now that IS cruel. Wouldn't you agree?
err, it's not in Limbo, it's canned outright.
The small team that lead designer at DICE had working on it, have been shifted to 'other work', leaving no doubt that EA have walked away completely from the franchise - sadly, as I believe it was one of the best, new, innovative game-styles delivered in the '00's'
If only more gamers had taken it on with gutso, perhaps EA might have followed through with it.
Far too ma...
There is another trailer which is new, and does shed more light on what the story is behind the game.
Publishers need to spike interest in one fashion, or another, sometimes, 'drip-feeding' videos, snippets of info and images helps do that.
Referring to a car as sexy, a piece of furniture, a piece of clothing, etc, it's a word, used to simply show an expression of interest . . lighten up mate lol.
I think the Call Of Duty Black Ops Legendary Edition, with the RC controlled car, and the previous CoD MW NVG's were brilliant. Have them both, and well worth the spend.
They're damn amazing stuff Rob, the guys over in NZ, WETA do a lot of that stuff as well, you might want to check out their rang of gear for all things sc-fi, as well as Halo gear, amazing stuff, and lots of it is genuinely limited edition, (numbered) stuff.

everything from full size or minature weapons to armour . .
There are of course exceptionns to the rule, but yes, I do agree, many publishers, as they are the ones that "promote' a game through such things as Collectors/Limited editions etc, not the actual developer per-se, that are passing off simple nice covers and DLC as Collectors Editions.
I have a huge array of collectible items pertaining to gaming, and many of the best ones have been older ones, but there have been a few great ones of late.
But it doe...
With the invention with better fully encompasing engines, many development studios are now cutting down on time spent on games, and not having to involve more staff on specific sections.
Relying on the engines to do what once took several ppl to do in months, can be done with the newer engines in days.
This allows studios to expand, with companies like Ubisoft opening more studios, and several heading to the tax havens of Canada.
If the publi...
A friend has WAY too many games on her iPhone, and many just do not get played . . .
I suppose it comes down to the games being cheap, grabbing them and then sadly not having the time to play them all.
Publishers relying on cheap price points ensure mass sales, now if the bricks-n-mortar games could follow suit by reducing costs a little, they might well sell even more retail disc based games.
That aside, the game looks like loads of fun.
Well OXCGN certainly doesn't 'follow' other sites review scores . . .in fact, we're often at odds with many, but given the reviewer had never heard, seen or played the game before, then the review is based on his personal experience, not what others may have said or experienced.
Remember, reviews are not an exact science, they are a personal experience of who a person experiences the game. movie, show, book etc . . .
You may well like the game...
Yep, saw it at E3 2010 on the Square area, which was huge by-the-way, and everyone's like - 'what the heck is this?'
Square weren't pushing it all that much, nor was it displayed all that well.
In the images presented in the review, some were just downright terrible for a 'current-gen' game for 2011. One even had the trigger finger missing from the hand, yet was firing the gun, jaggies everywhere, and these where from High Rez images s...
It helps when you have access to the hardware in advance, which the write does/did.
I have a iPhone 3Gs and it's great, and Angry Birds is certainly a HUGE time waster, in the nicest way of course.
But it's always great to have some info on other smartphones and their OS and games.
SO you saw all possible 17 odd million of the creations did you? I think not, not even Gearbox said they could make them all, I interviewed Randy Pitchford while he was here in Australia just prior to the games release.
He said the crew could spend a year and not create all the weapons possible, and all would have a unique ability or style.
Truth is, gamers these days a bone lazy, and want everything done for them.
You'd never make a gam...
A 'bigger' selection . . .it had a huge selection. You call a selection on possible manufactured/customized weapons of 17,750,000 not enough - shezzzesss . . . are you guys spoilt or what.
http://oxcgn.com/reviews/bo...
From Gearbox "According to Gearbox, there are over 17,750,000 different variations of weapons, as of release. The game uses a procedural process to gen...
Well, I wasn't the 'reviewer', as I'm just not into MP style gaming now. So it's a personal thing, as are all reviews . . . .
It comes down to that persons 'experience' of the game at the time they played it.
So for what it offers someone who loves MP gaming, I suppose it's a fair score, wouldn't you say?
I'm getting more and more disillusioned with many Publishers these days, especially with those that push the developer, [as we have to remember, it's the PUBLISHER that dictates what the development house does, not the other way round], to make MP only content, 90% of which is simply a map, some weapons, and that's it.
Even looking at these maps as far as graphics go, they pale to what the single player segment offers, so there's no real enthusiasm to buy them...
Agreed . .Q? If they offered an additional Single Player mode, or extension as an expansion pack, would you buy it as opposed to just MP maps as they do now?
When L.A Noir hits the shelves later in May, you watch the forums and boards light up with complaints.
Not for the fact the games bad, it's far from that, but even now some sites are calling the game a 'shooter', when in fact, it's the furthest thig from a 'shooter' as defined in gaming.
But because it is NOT a GTA clone, and that it will rely on the gamer to solve problems, watch AI players expressions for deceptive or affirming facia...
