There's also a bucket more info on the whole series there as well.

One thing that guys does well is follow Assassin's Creed . . . .

Or they simply can NOT afford more than one console, and the games that go with it.

Not everyone has an expendable income these days, especially if they are on a pension and use gaming as a method to manage pain. Consoles cost a packet in Aust, the PS3 and Wii are still the most expensive units available.

If I could, I'd have a PS3 in a flash, but sadly, that's not going to be the case for the time being.

That's an actual in-game screen, not a press release screen from Sony, which all of the others are.

The reviewer will have some screen-captures/grabs of his PS3 in the next several hours - hopefully.

Which will be more 'accurate' than 'press' shots.

Read it properly, it said that it received ratings similar to the N64 game, not that it was better/worse than it . . . "and that a sequel to a title that was in the lowly gaming ranks of Superman 64"

OXCGN has always reviewed and previewed PS3, PC, Wii etc games, so please get over yourself and simply accept that some sites are not all about fanboyism, and are run by gamers who enjoy gaming as such, but simply have a preference for one platform, due to their own personal likes/dislikes, not because one puts out better games, or not, as the case may be.

Both platforms that you mention support their audience just fine.

I'd buy a PS3 just for it, but then again, there's several games I'd like to get a PS3 for.

Sadly I think many gamers these days expect way too much from their games, as it's impossible for the perfect game to be made, or expected, and one needs to simply approach each new game on its own singular level.

You watch, there 'will' be complaints about Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, even though that game has had heaps of changes, The Fable world is great to just ponder about if you wish, or set about tasks and make it your world.

Perhaps t...

Sometimes, some games should be just left alone, they were/are perfect as they were, so why go and spoil them . . .looks way too complicated for me.

Cool, will definitely keep that in mind, shame the original author didn't continue on with that trilogy (novel wise), as it would have proven rather interesting.

Actually, the whole Templar thing is rich in possibilities, even dealing with the Muslim's in the Crusade - which would be something interesting to explore, especially in a game and novel combined.

Plus it could explain in more detail why and where we head into Spain in this game, and then that may well open up where we will be heading with Assassin's Creed 3, which is already underway in Montreal.

Ubisoft do take their games seriously. I believe Jade Raymond has been busy working away at 'something special' over the last 12 months, but nothing has slipped out of Ubisoft Montreal to say exactly what she is working on . damn.

I like the fact that some developers see more in things than just the game as a single property.

Ubisoft have a flair for taking the "Brand" beyond what most see, by adding the novel/s it opens it up to a new audience that might then go and get the game, or even buy console/s in order to play such games.

SOme of the storylines need explanation greater than the game or even movie can provide, as both are limited in time and content, whereas a novel a...

WHile I'm against zombies being placed in just about every game coming out of late, it's getting boring developers!, I'm not adverse to them wanting to increase sales of course.

But when they choose controversial topics to raise public attention in order to raise profits, that's where I draw the line.

Im certainly getting the novel, and any follow-up, as they ad a certain level of credence to the game in my opinion.

After playing Medal of Honor, then reading a book called 18 hours, by Sandra Lee, which was about the actual Operation Anaconda, which the game is based around, I had a greater understanding of the importance of the game and the time, and what the SF and Black-Ops and Green Berets as well as the Aust SAS went through, all of which is portrayed in the game, righ...

I saw RUSE being used on Microsoft's 'Surface' at a venue once, and it was amazing. Imagain the earlier trailer of RUSE showing the two guys using a tabletop, well it's basically like that. A cross between Apple's touch-pad gesturing and suchlike.

While it will not be commercially available for about another 12 months, it could set the way for some great RTS games where simple hand gestures on the surface will be all that is needed.

Now th...

"Why dumb a game down for consolers when everyone here already has a PC? "

They needn't be, and thing is, more and more ppl, especially the younger generation of gamers are steering away from PC as an entertainment device, and their aim is much more mobile, family room orientated.

And games need not be dumbed down, but simply made differently, and it would not affect those that prefer the PC platform, how would it dumb a game down for them, as t...

Probably mate, as it is now, there's a bucket load of games most ppl can't even get to hehehe, on almost all platforms.

damn, looks like I need a new one lol . . . sometimes the space key doesn't register, and occassionally some keys have to be pressed hard to register - damn.

When you watch the video in that article/review,you'll see why many PC gamers steer clear of the thought of RTS on consoles.

BUt then again, there are games that could benefit from being on the consoles, and that would do really well if they did appear. It would open up the genre to an every broadening fanbase that did not have the luxury of always upping their PC or even having a PC to enjoy such games.

I went through the Hoover Dam after E3 this year, that place is enormous, and the bypass was not finished then, so there was 3-4 miles of single line traffic jam for almost an hour in 40 deg heat (110 deg), pheewwww.

But it did look great.
