Always ready for some Forza 3 action

I think it'll be a Nintendo year at E3 2011, not that I'm saying the other majors won't have some great stuff, but unless you're dropping a bombshell, not many ppl in the media pay attention or give it much coverage when it's something like E3.

Japanese are usually very conservative, unlike westerners, (Gajin's).

When OXCGN was at a recent EA event with Suda51 and his cohorts, their demeanor was very conservative, yet they dressed outlandishly, but were well spoken, quiet and simple self confident that their game would speak for its self.

Their display was simple, with just a Bike that Suda51 likes and is in the game, and the game on display. Whereas American McGee, who was there showing off Al...

The reason behind most changes are demographics, based on what regions buy what type of accessories in the past.

Although, with this, you'd think that almost all Uncharted fans would want everything that's available - makes sense, plus reduces different SKU's in multiple regions.

@ VampiricDragon

Please do some research, Ubisoft's Alexandre Amanico, the creative director for Assassin's Creed Revelations said, and I quote,

"Beyond more involving action sequences, the team is exploring some new facial performance technology to help bring the Assassin's Creed characters to life.

"We've re-thought the way we capture performance from actors"

"The New technology called...

"Nothing revolutionary" VampiricDragon

Show me any game that uses a full cast of 400 actual actors, that films all of those actors, real world actors you and I see on both the big and small screen, doing numerous expressions and responses to different questions, actions etc, and I'll consed that the game is "nothing revolutionary".

Thing is, Team Bondi have spent 8 years on this mastering their new tech, the budget for this was extreme...

How long did you play the game, have you played all side missions, uncovered what the second plot was, - prob not.

The game also brings with it brand new technology that others are already emulating.

As pointed out in the review, a good game need not have the best visuals, best effects etc, after all, it is a noire-based game visually, and the best gameplay.

What it needs to do is bring new blood, new direction and new ideas to the table for ...

Bloody brilliant game, and it seems other studios are now following along Team Bondi's trail, starting new tech that will enhance our gameplay even further.

I hope that with Team Bondi's success, that the government might just open its eyes and see the huge possibility here - IF they supported the industry like other countries do, especially Canada.

Well they are using newer tech with this one as well, so no doubt, as the tech evolves, so will the gameplay.

We saw a great change from the first game, as they listened to player's feedback, and tied that in with the second storyline, so I'd expect that this one, the final in this particular storyline, to be something special.

Then, when AC:3 hits the shelves in 2012, we can expect even more visual and mechanical changes in the game.

Always a great game for the entire family, not my cuppa-tea, but it sure gets some of my friends going. Seems as if this one has ironed out a few issues from previous ones with regards to controls.

Sometimes small things have huge results, like the review says, sometimes small is good.

It does seem to cover a lot, but not tailor itself to one specific genre enough.

I believe the online aspect is decent enough, but these sorts of sport titles only have a specific following, and obviously only have a limited sales market - sadly.

Have to agree with you there mate, and it'll be very interesting to see where they go with Shift 3 in the next 12 months.

By then GRiD 2 and Forza 4 will have hit the shelves, and racing fans of this style will be looking for something else to pit their skills against.

If you go into the settings, advanced, you can alter the steering dead-zone so that it's much less 'touchy' and more earthy and you feel much more in control.

Same goes for many of the settings such as brakes, acceleration, steering suspension settings etc, much like you can in Forza 3.

But not quite to the extreme levels in Forza 3. Plus it offers actual roadhandling statistics so you know how the set-up is working - or not as the case may be. <...

You'll get that sort of game in NFS: Run, just like NFS: Hot Pursuit.

This is a separate franchise now, which is why it is simply known as "Shift" rather than NFS: Shift, like the first one was.

The handling is much more direct, and unlike arcade iterations in the past. Tracks are based on re-world tracks, as well as made-up tracks, yet using true-to-earth track characteristics, similar to the characteristics that you'd find in other well kn...

Now all EA have to do is get the normal NFS players to realise that this title is separate to the actual NFS franchise, and a sub-franchise on its own.

Great game, even for a racing nut. WHile it's not a 100% sim, like they might say it is, it IS a long step towards it, and have used some nice ideas from Firza 3 in there as well.

Looking forward to the next iteration, which I believe they are working on now - no, NOT NFS: Run, that's a completely diff...

True, agree 110%, and there's a game under wraps by Valve, who have fronted for the cost of development on a 'Half-Life 2' source code. They have given the developer access to the entire Source Engine, and even offered a deal on Steam.

What is it? A First Person Shooter 'perspective narrative game'. No guns, no weapons, no protagonist to speak of, just a game narrative that unfold as you venture through the game, and it changes as you look and walk around ...

I'm still concerned for how it will be received by some media and sections of the gaming fraternity (younger less patient gamers).

EVen many of the media who have played early code have worried with similar thoughts, as by the time you get to swing a gun in any real heavy fashion, you're already into the game by 5-7 hours, or thereabouts.

SO WILL younger, or more gun-ho-gamers really sit that far into the game?

The need to use ones he...

Yep, I agree 110% mate, and ppl wonder why publishers pull games off the production line because pre-release indicators show a game might ONLY get a 8.2 or 8/10 score, and if it does, it's deemed average or worse not worth buying - sheezzes.

MP gamers wanted a larger online playing field, more opponents in matches, modifications and customisations, multiplyers for scores etc etc. The guys give it to them,(gamers) and then the gamers complain.

Gun CLub was a ...

couldn't agree more mate, with the great games that are out, and the realism that 'some' display, many gamers expect the same for all games.

Even when it's inappropriate for the game/genre.

WHen we saw this game and spent some time with it at E3 2010 at Bethesda's rooms, we could see then there would be 'mixed' feelings or thoughts about the game, due to the fact it does break some conventions, yet seemed to be catering for the cla...

if you know anything about marketing, that is, getting it out in the printed media, as well as the net, mags take at least 6-8 wks lead-up time before deadline, then 3 weeks after that for sendig off for printing, then arrival on the shelves.

The next editions of all the mags do not have the game mentioned - featured. and while you and several thousand ppl might know of the game, the MILLIONS needed to turn a profit need to see it in both printed and net media.
