Actually, one of our guys said that the reaction times were excellent, and in one part of the demo, the lady took off her jacket, and it mimicked her perfectly with every move.
Plus, Kinect sees not one, or two ppl, but several ppl in the one room, irrespective of where they are, be that in front or behind the actual main player.
Plus it also adjusts itself to your bodytype, not some identikit generic avatar. The fitness app was amazing and blew many complet...
Personally I think Microsoft are doing an excellent job this time around. They have given thought to the asian market with several of the ideas with the Dance and social games.
Especially where others can join in that do not have to be in the same plane or field of view as the initial user.
Scoring 3 yrs of exclusivity of all DLC from a publisher is not mean feat, and the fact that Kinect is being utilized deeply into several games, yet not trying to overpowe...
I doubt that it is official art, but placeholder art. Knowing some of the ppl responcible for the 'actual' creation of MS box art and POS items, I can see that there's no mention of XboxLive or other 'elements' that would normally have to be included in any boxart, or POS items.
The re-branding of Xbox items will be simple and still follow inline with 'current' styles on their dash and other media print material that has been circulating over the l...
Thanks mate, will amend asap. We appreciate your imput, it can be hectic here trying to get all the news out as fast as possible with such a small crew on the ground.
Bubbles to you as well. Most appreciated.
Thanks mate bubbles to you, it's a shame many others don't have the ability to read past a headline.
Ideally some readers can look past the fact, that while we are a Xbox-centric site, we do follow ecellent games, no matter what the platform.
I personaly have a belief that OXCGn will never focus on the negative aspects of a game in order to gain views. We will comment on facts and how we games - as gamers . .
Thanks again, most apprec...
WRONG, try Reading the article - shezzes some of you Sony fans really do not know how to be simple gamers and enjoy an event for what it is. We have the right to report on everything at the event.
Thing is, if we only reported on MS stuff we'd get branded for being fanboys (which we are not) if we include info on Sony in any way, we're branding as being poor losers of fanboys with sour graps, either way, many sites simply can not win when it comes to 'some' re...
I personally can not wait to get my backside in the GT5 cockpits, and to find out what the re-branding of project natal is this evening. Should be very exciting indeed. Especially with Cirque de Soleil doing a huge event based around game sound tracks.
Apparently they will be doing various activities throughout the 3 days on the showroom floor and involving the members of the public. sounds cool.
Certainly is rather huge actually. We'll be at the Natal ev...
Wow, amazing that so many 'so-called' gamers have difficulty in the old aged art of - reading.
You know, where a writer writes something, and the reader - you - then reads it, and ideally understands it.
Annually OXCGN has a segment that it discusses the various exclusive titles that other platforms have that would be great to own or that should read, -play, on the 360.
NOt that the studios that own the IP's or the publishers that...
neither was I actually, but this did seem to get me 'in' Not sure what it was really, as even though I dislike the wrestling and fight night series of games, this does have a certain appeal to it that they don't.
The detail in the game is something to watch, and much better than its predisessor. But one thing that stood out from the actual fighters is that they were much more personal than those in wrestling.
Just my 2 cents worth.
AGreed in some sense, but like all major characters in games or even books and film. The lead needs to have something that separate him/her from the rest of the cast.
Otherwise he/she is simply one more person in a see of characters. So if Sam fisher in SPlinter Cell had had a radical change in his character design, do you think fans would just say - mehh, it's fine, his name is still Sam - isn't it?" etc.
Of course not. He'd no longer 'b...
That's rubbish, we're not 'picking' on it at all, as a matter of fact, oxcgn will be doing a detailer review of the game, and hopefully attending the Sydney Sony Pre-release event to cover the game, as supporters, not detractors.
When I get my ps3 home from E3, this as well as the earlier one will be amongst some of the games I'll have for it.
SO please, don't think ppl (genuine game jurnos) pick on titles because of their platform. W...
WHich IS the whole point of the article actually, 'cept some sony fans can't get beyond the fact a xbox based site writes about other games.
OXCGN is a gamers site, not a fanboy site, we have a huge following of Sony, Nintendo and even PC fans, the article is about the 'genericizing' of game characters, not only in Infamous 2, but is many other games, irrespective of platform.
I only wish half of the readers on here could read past their judge...
There's been talk on all of those, but there's a good chance several will have mention at this yrs expo. As several developers have some 'private' behind closed doors events they are not speaking about to media until E3 . . .so anything is possible.
This is what I mean, check the images out in the thumbnails at the end of the review, there's a few fishing shots there. They not only look terrible, but why in gods name would you have fishing in a compabt based RGP . . and the Surfing,. , .and crop growing, fertilizing - yes, you get points for fertilizing your crops . . .
Isn't this supposed to be about Nier chasing the Black Scrawl to help his daught be set free from it . . so where exactly does surfing, crop mana...
You should see some of the images and the scenery in this game - sheezzess
For a 3-4th generation game on the 360 this looks terrible, and what's with Surfboards in a mystical medievil setting RPG - yes, surfboards, check the pic out halfway down the page . . . . WT!!
And clown faces and hats made of wood that just rest on characters heads . . .
Does anyone actually vet these games before setting them lose on the world, it seems not.
Agreed, and it can work with games that are decent, but not 9's or 10's etc, such as Avatar the Game. Was a great game, but certainly had its flaws, but sold reasonably well and was in the media due to the person behind it.
I've noticed that EDGE Magazine, which is always industry skewed, is now doing extensive articles on at least one identity within the industry each issue, and also one related to Retro gaming from the past. Ideally getting the info out to the r...
One thing that astounds me is the fact many gaming celebrities are not known of, even within the industry that plays the game. Well, by gamers anyhow.
I suppose the higher the public awareness game achieve, and as their general uptake continues, names like Newell, Ed Fries, etc will become more commonly known for what they have contributed to the world of gaming.
Nah, no checkpoint systems as such, and the Multiplayer is something to really experience. You can do it solo, or simply join in as stuff happens, the lobby is actually the game live, so no waiting .. they'll send you an invite, and you can accept and then you'll be brought into the possie, and off you go. Or - simply go about your daily business.
This game really needs time to explore everything, and you'll be surprised a lot about the things that occur, and the ...
I love it when some gamers say they have finished this game in less than 8 hours or so. Total you-know-what.
A dedicated gamer spent the last 7 days playing this every day and night, and he still has 14.5% of the game to finish.
Now that is epic in the true sense of the word.
If you simply took your time and did all the various side missions and found all the items, helped every towns-person out and managed to help every stranger out, you'...
No, you can still use USB and the new 16gig Xbox USB's etc.
