From what I recall, it was a bit mehh, but this looks and seems a great deal better, looks amazing as well, and at least the storyline has some sense about it. come 2011, there will be several more open-world sandbox-style games hitting the shelves . .

However, some of them will be making their way o us via DLC rather than disc, and be of a series nature, whereby we get more story, larger areas to explore, different directions to undertake etc.

Publishers can see th...

I was a bit iffy about this initially, but after watching all the vids I gathered, and the various items, this doe sound actually quite good. I'd prefer this over GTAIV any day, the visuals look great, and the plot and storyline are more believeable than the GTAIV series.

For me, Red Dead redemption is still right out there in the front by a long way, but a further 3 months down the track after RDR releases, this could well be a game that does further establish the genre in gamer...

And the reload time and weapon exchange times - shheeezzeesss . . it happens so fast, it's like a blink of the eye, if that. Hit the button for reload, and before you've got your finger off, you're reloaded or a new weapon is in your hand.

Perfect for fast, action packed gaming . . and the cell-shaded art style looks great on this game, works well with the Wii and the screens look excellent. OXCGN is not saying that MS or Sony will hassel Nifty-ned to grab the game, read the game...

We're off to play some serious Red Dead Redemption Multiplayer next week - hoot . . . the game's coming out in May 18-21st so I'm looking forward to that one as well as Splinter Cell Convictions.

But yes, sadly the Wii has limited appeal to hardcore gamers, but heaps of appeal to the family & party types, especially the fitness and health industry. They are the main drives for such huge sales for the platform, with astonishing figures, yet the games (as we know them) sales ar...

hehehe, yes, I think the Wii fans are not as rabib as son=me mate heheheh nor as 'protective' . . . thing is, it's a great game, and we jumped at the chance to review it, I'd have the game in a flash if I had a Wii at home . . (you know, that always sounds just - so wrong)

The Developer vid on there is excellent, and so much fun, I'll be popping another up later which really shows off just how quickly things happen in the game. It's much better than the first one, that's for sure.

And yes, I'm sure it will be adaptable to either the xbox or playstation platforms, and when it does, you can bet the game will take off.

It's a shame that Wii 3rd or 2nd party developers are not given all that much help or support. Little wonder so many ste...

Forza 3 currently has the biggest online and offline racing following on the net, with well over 3.5 million users playing the game, and over 2.5 million copies sold. The real-world implications from the game involving the community include Real-world racing teams hiring and using the Forza 3 artists to design and create (in-game) liveries for their real-world racing teams, help with their tuning aspects, work with small production houses with regards to video and still images and much more. ...

Has to be right up there this year for GOTY, unless something else comes out that really stretches this to its limits.

I think Red Dead Redemption will have many surprised though, it just doesn't have the marketing budget that this has, sadly.

Perhaps we do, I like a story that engages me, but allows me to be part of it in some way, so that my actions have 'some' affect on the outcome or in how it plays out.

Giving me different experiences over the same sections etc.

Making me want to dig deeper, play the sections through again to try and get a different end result, or obtain the same end result, using different methods or choices.

Ubisoft own the company that made the Assassins Creed 2 Lineage short films, and that is the one they now use for all their in-house film presentations.

The company was the one that brought us the movie 300, which was excellent. They will be creating several 'mini-movies' for their projects, Prince Of Persia is the next one t hat we will see grace the various areas and YouTube.

I certainly hope it sells, and the numbers play it that is required for it to get seen and known about.

This is the trouble with todays over-hyped games. Unless it has a AAA status, where it has mega millions spent on it, then it basically sits on the sidelines, even if the game is better than many of the AAA titles being hyped across the globe.

It makes it very hard for new or small developers to get really noticed, and for publishers to invest heavily in them.

No, it's not you, the weird thing is, the audiences love it, and lap it up. It's their 'what-if' factor. How would one survive IF this happened.

The same is true for 'reality' shows, which are the furthest thing from reality that you can get, but audiences love them, as it's happening to someone else, and the thought of what if it was me, how would I do it?

We're strange fellows us humans . . .

But this game does have an engaging story, told out throug...

Thank you mate . . and hope you've seen the others, some of which I've linked above. At least we attempt to be as unbiased as we can, not like some on this site that simply do not even 'read' articles and or posts, yet comment as if they have.

Bubbles to you many times over mate, most appreciated . . .

Again, someone that does not read posts or articles. Did you not read that most of use HAVE a PS3, but those of us that do not , do so because they cost so much HERE in AUSTRALIA still . . $AU500 - $600 is a lot of money . . some are more than that. The unit shipped initially at - wait for it - $AU999.98, yes, THAT MUCH!.

SO some of us do not have a PS3 because we can not afford one, many of the team have not only a 360, PS3, PC and Wii etc, we also have other platforms, like Dre...

FUnny thing is, it's written as satire and fun, yet wanted to get across the atmoshpere and scariness of it, seems everypone is forgetting that aspect.

Seems strang, Edge, IGN, Gamespot even GameInformer can write stuff with a satirical base and it is seen as perfectly fine, and indie game site does it, and it's unprofessional - sheaaes.

I know the editors at GameSpot-Au, IGN-Au, GameInformer-Au (and many others), and we all write in similar ways when we can to 'lig...

Same here mate, I'd have it in a flash if I had a PS3 . . . perhaps soon, my B/day is coming up, perhaps some nice person might gift me one, fingers crossed.

Man, you doin't like 360 guys - do you?

The writer is in the industry, he works with PS3, 360 and PC on a daily basis, I THINK he knows what is and isn't right to be mentioned, and he has every right to discuss his experiences in any way, shape or style he chooses. When he reviews a game, he also looks at all the platforms it comes out on,and passes cpomment on each one in any of his reviews, far more than any other single platform site writer does or would do.

And,...

He's a developer and plays "games" on all platforms, and works in the industry, so I think he'd know if there were nit-picky things, but that aside, he loved the game, what's wrong with that???

Does it really matter that if you favour one platform you MUST therefore stick to it, otherwise you're not considered a 'true fan' - that's just plain BS . .

There's several games I'd grab tomorrow if I had a PS3 (and please, let's not go into - "oh you're a fan...

Must have this game . . . damn, no PS3 . . bugger . . . "thinks???" . . hmmm - if I grab the game, the PS3 will come . . .

Great read, for an excellent game. Yes, I'm an Xbox site supporter, but a good game is - well - a good game, irrespective of the platform it presents itself on.

Now that WOULD be cool, plus, I'd like to see after some time elapses, other ManaBars opening in other major cities. Which I'm sure has crossed the guys minds more than once I'm sure.

It would only take dedicated individuals in each city, willing to put into the business, either by themselves or through investors, and could expand the whole GamingBar Culture across Australia, and then perhaps even globally.

Hey, I like to think Big-picture . . .can't blame me for tha...
