Yes it could be, but as pointed out, I think it's more aimed at the East, as seeing it is looking towards the MMO genre, which suits Korea, etc, the item could take off like a storm in that region , where as in the west, we already have a solid covering for handhelds.
While westerns could well complain and boohoo the idea, it has merits especially seeing that the East needs a platform that can deal with titles that Apple refuse to touch through iTunes.

Don't know what to make of this, but I'm going to give it ago, and support a local developer. How about the rest of the Aussie gamers out there . . . .
True, and that is more the case with the "Retailer Exclusive Editions" which are often very different to the actual "Official Collectors or Limited Editions put out by the Developer and the publisher combined.
There's a difference in what is termed a "collectors Edition and a Limited Edition.
"Collector Editions" really has no fixed numbers produced, and are simply unique sets of items packaged to suit that game/product that ...
Well it IS OXN after all, but in all honesty, we did give the game a decent 7.5/10, as it does bring back some basic gameplay mechanics akin to the earlier Max Payne games from Remedy Games, which really had you working out how to get through obsticals, rather than have your path laid out in front of you with glaringly lit passageways or doors etc.
Plus the ending of Hydrophobia is meant to take you into the next iteration, it is after all, a on-going series, not a sequenuli...
Exactly . . . . . Some retailers are simply adding rubbish in order to make them stand out, and while I know that's the order of doing business, there does need to be some level or proprietary on behalf of the retailer to provide something of value above what is normally on offer in order to make it either exclusive of unique.
Like the Medal Of Honor Collectors with the gaming headset that's in there. The headset alone is worth in excess of $250, and let's say the...
You're a crafty fellow mate, but for some, the other items that are in those games are what they buy them for.
I prefer the 'real' Publisher Collector editions over the retailer exclusive editions.
Those like Batman Arkham Asylum, Resident Evil 5, Brothers In Arms: Hells Highway, Mass Effects Ultimate Edition (not the retailer editions), the upcoming Black Ops Motorised rig Collectors edition, Halo Reach etc etc.
Now they are wort...
Neither am I, often it's just an excuse to move some retail POS stock they bundle with a game, or that they have sprung on the Publisher to gain some sort of "exclusivity deal'.
Plus it seems more and more of the "Exclusives' are simply DLC content, weapons etc that are only for use in Multiplayer segments of the games.
Making it not a viable thing for those of us who simply want a great Single Player Experience.
While I...
I'm the same, even though I grew up from the early years of gaming, I just didn't get into the platforming style games. My son on the other hand, who's now 33, loved them.
Give me a FPS, TPS, Flight/racing style game any day.
I think some games from the classics should remain that, classics, as unless they receive a huge rebuild to modern tech, which then makes them no longer classics, they can't really be seen or played that well.

I suppose it's like the Modern Warfare 2 issue. There were at least 3 "I Accept" levels a player had to agree to before playing that level. Even then, you did not have to even be active in that level, and could chose not to shot civilians, and be a good double agent as it were.
BUt the mere fact it was there was the main issue. Again, the objections came more from those that do not actually know this, and simply see a headline, and run with that, rather than inv...
'Well said' (bubbles) I agree, having a father who participated in several wars and TOD, and seeing many close friends die, I can see the need to show others that these conflicts are more than what many believe them to be.
I 'think' the issue is more to do with any 'current' on-going conflict, than say any previous conflict that has passed. Where it has become say 'history' rather than a current raw nerve for many.
But at the s...
Make that thousands mate, thankfully the Australian loses in such wars, current and past in this period of time have been much less due to the way in which they deal with conflict.
It is interesting to see that there has been two major senior military men have disiplinary action taken for suggesting the US armed forces use similar or the same training and fighting tactics as the Australian Armed forces.
Finished a book about the subject only a few months ago, ...
Actually, I agree, that whole fiasco with Falluja should have paved the way for some developers interested in that genre to perhaps look at how they approached such subjects.
While many have mixed opinions, it will be interesting to see how some can put that into words.
As it is one thing to critise a developer/publisher (more the publisher than the developer actually), and it's another to offer a wise alternative.
To be honest, it matter...
Wow, at last, a sensible comment, bubbles to you mate. There is not 'right - or - wrong' with these things, but, we should be able to discuss things like adults, and perhaps, open up each other views to other possibilities.
Thanks for the decent un-fanboyish comment.
And to Pedobear Rocks:
What - you've been here a few months and it makes you an authority on N4g. I've been here since before it's rebuild, and our site has ...
Typical Sony Fanboys, how can you argue with 'facts' re what happened with the PS2, it's a known and written and reported fact as to what happened in late 1999 and early 2000's with the PS2. Sheezzes, some of you just hit disagree for the sake of it.
Yes, there 'ahs' been, but now, even the game developers are saying they can do much more with smaller spaces, especially with their newer engines that work on the fly, thus less scripting sequences, and thus being more 'dynamic'. Thus reducing the 'need' for larger drives, irrespective of the format.
Wouldn't you like to be able to buy say a PS3 for a $100 less than you can now, I know I would. If the guys that make the games believe it's ot n...
True, for then, but now, I think you'll find with the PS4, which they have been working on for some time now, you'll find a different approach. While they have said the PS4 will not be a DLC style machine, there will no doubt be a heavy influence towards that aspect.
And PLEASE, Sony fanboys, this is NOT about a platform war, can't you guys even discuss something like adults . .or are you all too juvenile.
DIscussion is great, it's what makes ...
Please remember, this is NOT an argument as to which platform is better or why, but an honest look at how and why some companies use products to introduce something that later turns out to be not that necessary in the greater scheme of things.
SO please, fanboys, give it a rest - please.
But it is true, Sony did use the PS2 to introduce the DVD format into Japan especially, where during its first year of sales, only one in ten units sold actually had game sal...
Ah yes, but this one IS different, it has screens from the trailer which will be released this week, which the other does not have.
So in effect, it is different, and warrants inclusion and approval.
Love this game, and the way Rockstar follow up their titles. I'm less of a multiplayer though, but it is interesting as you can do some hunting and such.
True, but that would be the market it is aimed at. Where you can view an MMO without too much restriction, similar to a very small handheld PC. Remembering, that this will most likely be aimed not at the west, but at the traveling Easterners that play MMO's all through the day, needing a keyboaard, larger screen and various levels of input and services.
Many Eastern technology items don't usually win prizes for looks, but they sell like hotcakes if they do the job. ...
