When you have two sides like this someone will end up being wrong. If you are wrong you take it like a man, and if you are right don't be a tool about it. That is how it should go. Turns out my theory about both formats being around for a while is shot :-P
It would have been nice if warner had done this a month before christmas instead of screwing many consumers over. I just returned my A3 and got store credit for my HD DVDs so i am safe. Just have to wait for the panasonic bd30 to come down in price a bit. I do feel sorry for early adopters though. At least there is only one HD format now.

@ JUDGE - I think mac and pc showed that two 'formats' can co-exist. Granted it is a little different but i still don't see why the same can't happen for hd dvd and blu-ray.
That is pretty funny. I think someone changed them around or there is a stock boy or girl out there that knows nothing about video gaming machines.

I think the answer to both is no, one because hd dvd is also selling well like blu-ray and two, because your bubbles are rapidly approaching one :-P
I think there is far to much money invested on both sides. Right now, both sides are selling players and movies. What makes people think (think not wish) one format will disappear?
"Everyone"? I think not. That is some very wishful thinking you have there. You do know that if you tell yourself something enough over and over again, it doesn't make it true :-P
I think you mean that every blu-ray player owner wants warner to go blu-ray.
C&C worked great on the 360. It is different from using a mouse and keyboard and takes a mission to get use to the controls but once you are used to them they are great. Change isn't always bad guys, you just have to give it a try.
I would definitely get starcraft 2, starcraft was and still is awesome.

That seems like a bit of a weak accusation. Just because he has the word "blood" in his name? I think you will need a bit more evidence than that.
I could be wrong but isn't warner working on trying to fund hd dvd prices so that the likes of warner could offer an hd dvd version cheaper than the blu-ray version? From what i can remember it would only be a few $s cheaper though. Not that big a deal when they are already fairly pricey.
I think both formats are here to stay so i joined in. I grabbed an A3 in the sales because it was cheaper than blu-ray, both formats performance is the same, and because the A3 had more free movies with it. Plus now i get to watch transformers in HD :-D
There are some sad people out there. Hacking is lame any day of the week but hacking for armor in a game. Someone needs to get a life i think.
Hahaha, i like the list! I don't know why so many people are anti-wii. I have a 360 and i think the wii is a cool little setup, it is nice and original. At one of the old folks homes here in town, they have a wii so that they can go bowling without leaving the building :-)
I think the wii is successful because it is cheap (compared to other consoles) and it is a lot of fun. It appeals to a wide variety of people.
Cool tech, but as you guys said i am sure it is going to be very expensive. I just got a 32 inch lcd samy a year ago. I think it will be a long time before i upgrade to something like this, unless i win the lottery :-P
Due to it being "halo" it might pull a few new people in. I think it will appeal to the C&C and LotR RPG crowd. I like C&C so i will probably check this out.
The game does look awesome. If i was them i would hype away, it worked for Halo 3. They want to make money right and hyping seems to work for some?
That is indeed a sweet movie, definitely worth picking up.
