More disagrees but still no justifications for the disagrees. The disagrees are probably thinking "i can't say i disagreed just because he didn't say blu for the win or red is dead".
Scratch resistant discs are a fantastic idea but how do so many people manage to scratch the crap out of their discs? When you want to use it you take it out of the case and put it in the player, then when you are done with it you remove it from the player and put it back in the case, right? :-P
I guess this is why i never lend movies or games to my friends, damn disc scratching _ _ _ _ pirates.
Anyone else getting tired of the endless bland Blu-ray vs. HD DVD news? There are very few objective articles. Considering the site is news for gamers, the top stories on the front page a few minutes ago were all format war. Don't get me wrong, i like a good read about the format war but all these articles are starting to look the same. Blu-ray yay, no wait HD DVD yay, no wait blu-ray yay. I personally think neither format is going anywhere, there is too much money invested on either sid...
She is indeed.
Nice one mighty, she is a real looker :-P
I am a pro choice kinda guy. Xbox 360, PS3, Blu-ray, or HD DVD i don't care what people buy. Just don't make stupid comments that make you sound like an ass!
Are you drunk?
"Just go to BB/Futureshop . As soon as a tech savvy customer sees BD movies in HD he /she almost certainly purchases a player."
I go into futureshop all the time and i don't have a blu-ray player because they are too expensive plus the one i like, the samsung 1400 i have read some not so great reviews about.
Lots of tech savy people go into futureshop my friend and let me tell you that they don't buy a blu-ray player. That is just wishful thinkin...
Cool, thanks for the answer. I couldn't find it on the net and couldn't remember myself.
But switching from VHS to DVD wouldn't have costs thousands of dollars for many people. Lots of people still don't have HDTVs. Even if you have an HDTV, were launch DVD players (comparatively with inflation) more than prices for blu-ray and hd dvd players?
The person that disagreed has to go take some post secondary economics classes or maybe they shouldn't have been dropped on their head as a baby. Warner is in the sweet spot right now, they are selling to the entire HD market instead of limiting their sales to either HD DVD or Blu-ray supporters.
EDIT: Did someone disagree with me because they don't think warner will sell more movies supporting both formats or because they want Warner to go Blu-ray exclusive?
The problem with reading posts regarding HD-DVD/Blu-ray on this site is that the majority or all of PS3 owners will support blu-ray whereas other console owners/pc/other readers don't have a format yet so the posts are always blu-ray heavy. I just love all the "forsure" predictions regarding two HD formats that have minimal sales. Blu-ray sales are based solely on the fact that you buy a gamers machine and get a blu-ray player and as i would do you think "I have one so why no...
"Domination across the globe"? Neither format has more than a small following. Across the globe, you make me chuckle.
EDIT: to the disagrees, you are dillusional if you think a few million players means a battle between two formats is over. Put aside what you want to happen in the format war and try to take an objective stance.
How are those 2 bubbles treating you? If you keep up comments like that one i am sure you will be down to 1 bubble. What number will your next account be?
Why are you talking about EA, the game was made by Bioware. As soon as EA bought them they didn't fire all the Bioware staff and put EA staff in their place. That is like saying Lib-tech and Gnu snowboards are made by Quiksilver. Just because Quiksilver owns them doesn't mean they changed the way the company did things before they were purchased.
Have you played the game or is it simply crap because it isn't on the PS3?
I agree with crank, i didn't like that movie much. Way to much gore with a very weak story line. 300 was excellent though, i very much enjoyed that.
Nice :-P
I am pretty sure the "xbox has a huge failure rate" is old now. As far as i have read the problem has been fixed. I haven't heard of lots of dying 360s recently. Time to get a new argument to fall back on?
The problem right now is that neither side is selling enough for them to declare "victory". Too much money invested on both sides and very few sales (relatively speaking). Neither format is going anywhere for a while yet.
@TANOD What is wrong with the wii? That is a fun little console! Just because something isn't a PS3 doesn't mean you have to hate it.
