Already been confirmed that it runs a custom version of Android 13 and uses the Snapdragon 662. So the only reason for it to not have Playstation Cloud streaming is if Sony just doesn't bother to allow it. Even Gamepass Cloud and GeForce NOW should be usable if Sony had not blocked the browser access.
Yeah, it's my mistake for saying basic thermal stuff in a place full of console plebs that think their console sounding like a jet engine is normal
You are correct, no issues whatsoever can come from liquid metal when it's left on an unusable device for years. There is no such thing as drying out or metal migration. And something like the security material used to isolate the metal from the rest of the console failing is not a worry.
Plus as ever...
Honestly, I would be a bit more concerned about the liquid metal. On PC the recommendation is that it last between 2 to 5 years. So 10 years from now who knows in what state it would be on a PS5? Not to mention that it's a much harder thing to clean and substitute in comparison to other thermal compounds.
@VenomUK
Yes, relevant to mention a completely different service by a different company in this post. Even more as an answer to a joke that in no way shape or form made allusions to wtf you are talking about.
I really hope you guys get the help you need. Obsession is just a terrible disease.
Nintendo "best we can do is Pokemon Mini".
Agree. The Game Awards for me is more like an end-of-year E3 with announcements.
The actual awards are pretty much meaningless and they know it. Hence only some of them get the spot light, the rest is literally a mention at best.
It matters because if I want to expand that Xbox storage I have to shell out sometimes double the amount of money to get their cards. If Microsoft did not go with that route, then nobody would care, but here we are.
Well, I did specifically say it was about the "storage" and the Portal as a whole is a ripoff, even the name was ripped off from an actual handheld, the Pimax Portal.
Yes. kek
I like the idea behind Microsoft's approach. But I hate the actual execution.
Actually, I think you are right.
My mind went to the portables where they always used some sort of Sony proprietary solution (Memory Stick on the PSP, Memory Stick Micro M2 on the PSP Go and the Memory Card on the PS Vita). But on home consoles, they have pretty much always used standard tech except the Memory cards for the two first Playstations and the HDD for the PS2.
From the PS3 going forward, they have stayed with what was standard at the time.
Hall effect thumbsticks are good for longevity which is important, especially if the device has no easy way to obtain parts. However, the SD has both a way to configure your dead zones as well as the parts available for sale. So not exactly an upgrade that adds any incredible value as it would on a normal controller.
Also, DF tests are coming and this version also offers a slight 3% to 9% improvement in frame rates while giving close to a extra hour of battery. So it's...
It's funny to see that Sony is now the one with the more friendly approach to storage. No new bullshit proprietary crap that is there just to charge you more.
This change sucks more for the people that were just casually collecting points here and there. For the ones that farm points, it's much less impactful as those 1500 monthly points were some of the hardest to get either way. Still, it sucks that the rewards program is getting less value in pretty much every new update.
You are on N4G. You will be lucky if people read the title, let alone the article.
But being serious. Sony appears to still be going full ahead with those plans and let's face it. The guys have an enormous chunk of the console marketing, so of course they would try to maximize their profits with a GaaS title... or 12.
I would be extremely surprised if it was. They were making something like $2.50 per user in revenue last year if I recall correctly.
@MrNinosan
Common sense works for a lot of things in life, it does not however apply to sales data. For example, if we take the idea that Nintendo games sell more physical copies and apply it to certain regional markets, like most of South America. We would hit a wall, as Nintendo only officially sells digital versions in that region. So that idea of common sense sort of lacks the common sense that it cannot be universally applied.
Now going over the da...
@MrNinosan
Alright and can you provide a source for that statement? Cause the ERA report does not discriminate against Nintendo games. So if you have something that goes contrary to it, sharing would be the way to go.
This is more interesting than the China one. As I don't think there is any major Indian game or franchise out there, so this is a really good chance to put Indian developers in the spotlight.
We don't have any data for Nintendo Digital games and keep in mind that this info is focused on the UK, where the latest ERA report hints at a pretty hefty digital game preference – six times more digital sales compared to physical ones (excluding mobile games).
@Eonjay
If you're falling for the PR talk that doesn't really amount to anything, be my guest. Sony's all set with the blades and server setup for streaming. They've put in the technical effort already so now the only thing keeping it from happening on the Portal is, well, Sony. To be more specific, it's their desire to rake in the cash. Why offer people the option to play games with a $200 device and a subscription fee for streaming when they can make ...
