It will likely depend on the target fps and resolution of the "big" consoles. If they are going for 60fps on the Performance mode. I would assume that the Series S will be mostly similar but targeting 30 fps and of course a lower rendering resolution. Not that dissimilar to what we saw in Alan Wake 2.
That, along with the myriad factors I mentioned, is precisely why I conducted napkin math for revenue rather than profit. The latter involves a multitude of variables and is the main reason for accountants to have a job.
Taxes apply specifically to profit calculation, not revenue, and are understood within the context of the broader category represented by "etc."
Hard to take advice from someone who doesn't even understand the concept of napkin math. Stay in school kiddo.
That doesn't mean what you think it means.
Well, doing some napkin math: 25 million users (2022) x 60 USD yearly (cheapest GP core subscription) = 1.5B.
This doesn't account for regional price variation or the other more expensive plans (and we know thanks to the EU Regulators that at least 70% of accounts are Ultimate). But it gives an idea of the revenue that they are generating. However, for profit, you have to take into consideration marketing costs, development costs, infrastructure, etc.
...
Honestly, I find it bizarre that is not a thing at the moment.
> $41.9 million to develop.
> $19.2 million for marketing.
> $5.1 million for the physical edition.
That is before Epic takes their 5% royalty fee.

Please, no.
The last thing VNs need is more mainstream people playing them. That is how we get those super dumb-down localizations, full of censorship.
1. Just put a decent battery on the controller. If Flydigi manage to do it with their Apex 3, Sony can with their devices as well.
2. That is a "you issue", stop having lettuce hands. /s
Honestly, I would dig a screen on a controller. I always liked the Dreamcast implementation of the VMUS, which could be simulated by something like this. The buttons lighting up could be cool for some accessibility-specific scenarios. Still, for general usage, I can't think of any potential uses that can't be achieved by ordinary buttons.
That said. If they are going to make a new controller, I would love them to invest in more repairability. Modular sticks, easier...
To be fair. Arkham City had a Wii U version as well, which also had performance issues. So this might just be an accurate port of that version. /s
In all seriousness. If people don't stop buying those collections and ports for the Switch, the publishers will not stop making them. Costs are probably minimal and the return is definitely enough to justify it.
The sticks are "vita-style" which makes them much easier to substitute. Just two screws and a ribbon cable. Now the question is if we are going to see any third-party manufacturer making those stick modules so they can be cheap like the PS Vita 2000 or if like the Vita 1000 people will be stuck paying $15 to $20 for a single original module.
The current official price for the Series S in Brazil is R$3,599. During the last Black Friday, many retailers like Amazon and a local one called Kabum sold the PS5 Disc for R$3,440. The latter reported that they sold the equivalent of the height of 10 Eiffel Tower of PS5 consoles on Black Friday which people are speculating is somewhere between 3k - 7k per tower or 30k to 70k PS5 sold by one single retailer during the sale period.
Meanwhile no news about sales of the Xbox ...
Hey, the rocket ship is built and all they need is a little more fuel! /s
But hey, they made a smartphone app that allows you to play their "exclusive" games. Look at that. /s
This a bizarre article, they went on to explain what the "Xbox tax" truly is to finalize saying that there is no "Xbox tax". You have to be extremely innocent not to understand that the "Game Awards" is the "Critics Awards" and that this is where the "tax" comes into play. It is no more than bias for a particular type of game, there are outliers when you look at the history of the nominees and even winners, but the vast majority of them fit in...
Ayaneo core market is now China, where the Steam Deck is not officially available.
They used to have a larger presence in the West, but with Asus, Valve and Lenovo on the case now. You have to be a very special kind of individual to go for a device from a small Chinese brand with barely any support instead of those juggernauts.
The controller looks super cool — I wouldn't mind it becoming the new standard. And about the console, I guess the party prep kicked off early, so they couldn't go with the Slim. But, man, the PS5's design is such a wild departure from the PS1. If they didn't explicitly say it's inspired by it, I would've never guessed.
