With Sony fanboys, you can't really be logical; they don't care. They attach their opinions to buzzwords and will roll with it for all eternity. Some are still defending that BS SSD super speed that Sony touted when the PS5 was launched, even when it has been proven time and time again that it is not particularly special or needed, despite what the buzzword might lead them to believe.

The same will be true with the PSSR; they will sing its praises, and some are alre...

Well, because it's easy and cheap to do.
Plus they can get $10 out of everyone that will want to upgrade their PS4 version or full $70 from those that want to buy the native PS5 version in physical oe digital media - Assuming same price structure they used for TLOU2.

I think the title and description of this article are a bit misleading. It might appear that it represents the opinion of a former executive of Firwalk Studios. However, in reality, it reflects the opinion of Laura Fryer, who was an executive at Microsoft Game Studios and Epic Games about a decade ago.

Her video is fairly good and provides a lot of examples of this internal culture problem in other games she has worked on. However, it's not an insider perspective, and I...

RTX Remix is probably the most game-changing use of this technology so far, mainly because it's a fantastic tool for modding. And modders, who are incredibly dedicated and creative, have the potential to really push its potential to transform old games.

On the flip side, AI upscaling is a double-edged sword. It can greatly enhance image quality when used correctly. However, on PC, it’s frequently overused by developers as a quick fix, resulting in less-than-ideal native...

Maybe they are talking about lenght? Because RE4 Remake is definitely larger than the first two modern remakes.

The shift to a digital future for consoles is likely to be a major issue for many people. While physical media is almost obsolete on PCs, there are still numerous stores and distribution channels availabl...

Well, it locks you into a single digital store ecosystem, restricts access to many unlicensed accessories, and includes a subscription service for online play, which requires paying for the privilege of playing online in premium games. It also offers the option to place it vertically if you purchase an extra accessory and limits your options for mods and backward compatibility.

So yeah, it does offer a lot of features that a PC doesn’t. /s

Nah, we need a couple more games of this kind before we start saying that about Sony.

As for gaming in general, Nintendo has been doing that for decades already.

As a big Zelda fan, I'm pretty excited for this one. The enviromental puzzles and dungeons are the focus here, and those are two things that I really miss in modern Zelda games.

My only concern is with inventory management; apparently, there are a lot of items and echoes, and based on the previous games, I'm a big concerned about how bad managing them will be.

In a context created by you, from an incomplete and extremely biased point of view, instead of analyzing both devices holistically by indicating their respective strengths and weaknesses, and discussing their similar characteristics and the reasons for the similar appeal between them, you prefer to restrict one of these devices to the confines of the other's characteristics and come up with a series of excuses to justify this action. This is done in a way that makes your preferred choice ...

I think recommending a computer in this situation actually makes a lot of sense. For a regular console, comparing it to a PC can be a bit confusing. But when you’re talking about a "Pro" console, it’s worth comparing it to the most "Pro" platform out there, which is a PC.

Building a gaming PC might cost more upfront, but over time, that cost evens out. You can often find games for much cheaper, and sometimes even for free if you’re okay with using servic...

No one is ignoring the performance boost, and honestly, you're the first person I've seen even bringing up the SSD. The problem is that Sony hasn’t done a great job of showcasing that performance. If I remember correctly, four or five of the games they presented were actually PS4 titles, and their later press release focused heavily on those other 8K games that will automatically get better, but many of those are PS4 games and by the description it doesn...

Yep, a buddy of mine has already ordered a dozen of those to flip when the console is released... I really want to punch him.

I’m pretty sure they will, because it’s advantageous for them to be able to say that the console sold out at launch.

As for PS4 owners, considering that the PS4 Pro had around 15 million users and many of those have probably already bought a PS5, I don’t think the rest of the PS4 owners are really waiting for a $700+ console to make the jump. More likely, they’re waiting for the PS5 to get a price cut or for FIFA to stop being released for their console.

"I've built a couple of PCs and hated the experience so much that nowadays I shell out for pre-built rigs."

That is a quote from an article written by Fraser Brown, an editor at PC Gamer and author of this article. I don’t think I need to explain how sad that is.

You’re comparing apples to oranges here, which is why it doesn’t make much sense. You suggested they should have made it only 1TB and priced it at $599. That way, consumers might find it more acceptable, which is a reasonable idea.

But the $699 price isn’t just about the extra storage. They’re charging that amount because that’s what they’ve decided. So, having less storage and a lower price aren’t as closely related as you might think. You can g...

You're kind of comparing two different things here. The first scenario you mentioned would give you a 3TB PS5, but there’s more to it. A consumer-grade SSD has a lot of parts that Sony doesn't have to pay extra for in the PS5 Pro. The main one is the controller, which can account for 20% to 40% of the total SSD cost, depending on the source.

Sony is really only paying for the extra memory modules, which would probably cost them around $40 at most. So, even if they m...

Consoles definitely have their place because they're affordable and easy to use. But when you start changing those two things, that's when I stop seeing the value—especially now that exclusive content isn't really a big factor anymore.

When it comes to the PS5 Pro, I think Sony is asking for too much. That $700 quickly turns into almost $900 once you add the disc drive and taxes. Cutting corners by not including the drive and even the stand just makes the deal w...

@BISHOP-BRASIL

Do you realize that Vice City was released almost 22 years ago, at a time when the internet was a completely different beast? And that it sold LITERALLY 1/10th of the units that GTA V sold?

So, no buddy, it’s not the same. There is a huge potential for exposure here that this guy passed on because, like you, he probably has no idea how large this audience is and is focusing on short-term gains instead of overall growth potential.
