Great article, though I disagree somewhat with certain sections - especially regarding the handling of the characters in Assault. I fully agree with the conclusion, Star Fox was meant to be a simple and straightforward experience, therefore most of the innovations implemented in the newer titles, like the Command's tactical sections, Assault's on foot missions or Zero's controls end up affecting the core gameplay in a negative way.
If instead of simply "in...
These skins are meant to be seen as "sport jerseys", a way for the players to show their suport for their favorite team. In other words, they aren't meant to be collectible like the other skins avaible in the game. But I do agree that the $5 per skins is a little costly, they could have at least been a bit more generous with the progressive discounts..
@ImGumbyDammit
Again nothing that this developer said goes against the policy that Microsoft has been doing since the beginning of the generation. If you look at Xbox exclusive list, a huge portion of them was bought and this comment simply says, "Hey Microsoft is still interested in buying exclusives".
And yes, I doubt that this developer has a firsthand knowledge. But, he worked for Microsoft, so chances are he has acquaintances who could have...
@Foxhound922 I don't really understand your point. Because this developer's comment does not go against what Microsoft has been doing since the beginning of the generation. I mean, Cuphead, Ryse, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, etc... were/are all "bought exclusives".
With all honesty. I think those leaks about new Microsoft games being produced "in-house" much more suspicious.
@Tapani,
An NDA probably prevents them from being specific, but releasing vague information such as "Microsoft is after new exclusives" is not enough to breach it
This dev worked for Microsoft under the Press Play banner (2012 - 2016). So they might actually have some inside information.
That's true.
It's a weak performance, but not one without a solid cause.
Yeah, but those other numbers also don't account for sales on Xbox Live and PSN, so yeah...
Yes, the source is this very article.
Not very good when compared with the original release - 455.607 on PS4 and 205.127 on XOne. But as we have no idea how many units Bethesda expected to sell, 81,000 might be a reasonable number for them.
No homo tho.
Well, so there is ONE single game that uses it. And only in Japan.
Here:
* DOOM: 16 GB Cartridge, requires a 9 GB download for multiplayer.
* NBA 2K18: 8 GB Cartridge, requires a 16 GB download to play.
* Bayonetta 1 & 2: 16 GB Cartridge with only Bayo 2, download code for Bayo 1.
* Resident Evil Revelations Collection: 16 GB Cartridge with Revelations 1, download code for Revelations 2
Those are currently the games that are bigger than the 16 GB standard Switch cartridge. And as you can ...
There isn't a single game that uses the 32 GB cartridge, not even Nintendo want to spend the money to use those. Therefore I really doubt there is a publisher waiting for the 62GB version.
Selling on Steam without any kind of marketing has become impossible. It also doesn't help that the original release of Blossom Tales was just a few days after the arrival of expected games like Nier: Automata and Mass Effect Andromeda and a few days before another expected game, Yooka-Laylee. And to make things even worse, in the same day Blossom Tales was released, another 28 games were also released.
Anyway it make me happy too see that Indies are finding on the Swi...
@Bronxs15
Nintendo offers a 16 GB and a 32 GB option. But, Bayonetta will use a 16 GB with only the second game on the cartridge, the first one is going to be a download code.
Speaking of critical reception, Berseria has practically the same acceptance of Vesperia, with both of them having the same 79/80 scores on critic aggregators. And I would not call that reception mediocre.
But speaking as a fan of the series, who has played almost all it's titles. I would say it is the best game of the franchise since Vesperia, but not as good as it (however it may be the nostalgia speaking).
Well, that also happened on the Wii U. Bayo 1 was about 17GB while Bayo 2 was only 14GB.
On the Wii U the Bayo 2 have some big frame drops here and there. So the only thing I want from the Switch version is the "locked 60 fps".
I really liked that art style and the gameplay does not look bad either, with a mixture of rpg and puzzle.
