Most likely yes, since they are talking about Epic Store and Uplay integration.
So the only difference between releasing it on Epic and on Steam, is that now the consumer will not have access to the community, marketplace and progression systems offered by Steam.
Therefore, I believe that Ubisoft real plan is not to drive buyers to Epic but to their own Store. Since now the consumers will get nothing from buying it from "the other" retailer.
Yes, but as Linux is fragmented a single fix will not work. So the time and money spended on fixing issues exceeds the amount of money that can be made on the platform.
Therefore developers that want to profit selling on Linux, will most likely have to make some sacrifices in regards to consumer service. One such example would be Rocket League that is only officially supported on SteamOS so they will not fix issues on other any other distros and the SteamOS.
It's most likely uncompressed audio.
Yes, but it's still a very disgusting thing to argue in favor of. Even if the intention was not malicious.
Third person shooter where you play as a pantie, why the hell not?
Kemco is bringing a lot of their games to the XOne. In 2018 alone they ported 4 of their games to the platform.
I haven't played Alvastia Chronicles, but the premise of having 100 companions looks fun. And Kemco's games tend to be rather well made even though a little generic.
The same thing with this one. Is good to catch people's attention, but as a commercial product that design and this design would not be very functional.
And Second Wind with help of Blizzard confirmed that the account was indeed fake. Proving the suspicions of everyone who actually follow the Overwatch competitive scene. Because, an account with a rank so high (Top 4 DPS) and with so little game time (low level) does not appear out of nowhere.
The fact that it was a female player was just a cherry on the top of a already shady situation. And while I will not deny that there must have been some sexist comments and that ther...
Reminds me of the original Xbox prototype (the big metal X). So I doubt very much that if the console is made that is the final design of it.
Oh my dear you flatter me, but I haven't engage with her in anyway. I only followed this controversy from the shadows like a complex but inferior ninja. /_・)
Totally agree. But her master ninja skills played a big part on people going after information about her what did unfortunately resulted in harassment.
She have not played in the tournament though. If she did played on one that situation would not have happened. You cutie pie.
"I think her performance in a competition would have pretty much solidified any worries as such and I doubt anyone on the team wants to put someone on it that isn't a real player. "
I agree with you. Her performance in a competition or she simple appearing in the stream would have proven that she was the real deal (or that she wasn't). But that will not happen anymore, so we will never know and that is a shame.
" If this was a male...
My point is: A lot of the negative reception that she got was because she was a high level player that nobody knew about before the Second Wind announcement.
That doesn't mean that I believe that harassing her was correct. But again we don't even know if she was a real person. That's how bizarre this situation really is.
I believe that it will impact only chat features, but the amount of different modes that will be required to be implemented will definitely be very challenging and costly for small devs. Console manufactures and storefronts can probably help on that regard, but they are still asking for a lot and it could break games that are sold outside of those places.
The big issue with that player is that nobody even knows if she is real.
She pretty much just appeared, she haven't streamed her gameplay before, nobody have ever saw her nick in other high ranked players streams and while she did eventually played in a stream latter, there was no way to confirm who was playing.
While that looks nice on the surface, a closer look to this legislation make it a little worrying...
(1) Input, control, and mechanical functions shall be locatable, identifiable, and operable in accordance with each of the following, assessed independently:
(i) Operable without vision. Provide at least one mode that does not require user vision.

Yes and no.
Depending on the game that would be a great first week, but in this case it symbolize the worst first week sales that the franchise had since 2010.
Well, we don't know how much Hardline sold digitally so it's hard to say if that would be a good, bad or a mediocre performance.
But digital game sales normally grows 5% to 10% (YoY) according to EA financial reports. So it probably did better than Hardline on that front, but we wouldn't know by how much. Once EA releases this quarter financial report we will have a better idea.
The game allegedly runs like garbage on PC. Some people even reported low fps and it's a freaking Visual Novel. So they probably couldn't fix it for the Switch.
