Back in the day I had a Nyko Airflo for the OG Xbox. It worked great and was a must for some of my folks so is pretty cool to see a new deviation on that concept.
@Genuine-User
For now, I find it hard to say anything about Switch taking the PS Vita's place as the main platform for these devs. Obviously, it has the potential, but it's too soon to really say anything concrete.
Vita is a main platform for a lot of japanese developers so it's not really a surprise.
That's what I expect too. More specifically, Atari has a game called Atari Vault which is a collection of 2600/Arcade classics with some new features like online multiplayer and score boards.
Personally I believe that this software will be the basis of the console.
I have a Wii U and in my opinion the console is not worth it just for the Virtual Console. And in all honestly, Nintendo seems to be interested in porting part of Wii U's library to the Switch, so the console may ended up not being worth even for it's exclusives.
More or less, not all games had access to voice chat and the user had to purchase a separate accessory that should be plugged into the control to allow use of a headset. Also I can't vouch for the service's quality, but it was certainly a simpler process.
Also there is some revisions that can be made without really changing much of the original device. For example a more efficient cooling system could allow for an increase in the clock speed and the internal storage capacity that could easily jump from 32GB to 64GB.
In addition there is a expectation for a completely portable Switch without the detachable Joy-Cons and without a base.
And it is not only a normal 2D platformer bullet hell game but actually a metroidvania bullet hell game.
I think that from a technical standpoint a Switch port might be possible. Since KH III is now being developed using the Unreal 4 a engine that offers support for the console and a big range of customizations.
But as you said, I wouldn't get my hopes up.
Thanks man.
Such a shame that the project ended up like that.
[EDITED]
Replied to the wrong post.
I played in one of the first betas and I did not like it enough to play the open beta let alone buy the game.
Do not get me wrong the game tries to bring new things to Chivalry's formula and has a beautiful art direction. But I could not get into it.
I do know that the "console" was being delayed over and over again, but didn't know that they actually lost partners and such. I'm not doubting you, but do you have any sources that prove this information?
The author basically took his personal opinion / situation with the original release and applied it as a universal true. He did bothered to look at what the critics thought about the original game, but he forgot to look at the number copies that FF: XII actually managed to move.
Looks pretty cool. The only issue that it may face if going through Kickstarter is the price point.
Right now the only device in the market that offers a similar experience is the GDP Win ($320). It have the same size of a 3DS, runs Windows 10 and therefore can acess both Steam games and emulators.
And there is also the SMACH Z (€299 for the basic or €499 for the pro) that as far as I know still in development. But it offers the same kind of experience ...
Xenoblade Chronicles X is not the first one. It is a completely different beast from Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles II.
It's a little more complicated than that. If you really want to get into the subject, you would have to take into consideration other components like memory as well as development tools that are completely different on the Switch because of its architecture and manufacturer.
Also I do not think it's fair to talk about price without taking into consideration the portable aspect of the device. Since the components that allow it to act in this way are responsible for s...
Flops in general is a measure unit that estimates the computational "gross" power of a component. You can directly compare different generations of components as well as different manufacturers and the results will be percentages that show just that, the "gross" difference between the components compared.
The emphasis on the word "gross" is there because this comparison does not translate directly into real-world applications. A classic example...
@Princess_Pilfer; Teraflops is a way of estimating the processing power of a unit or if you are talking about consoles the "raw power" of that unit. The reasson why you see Nvidia taking the lead in almost all benchmarks is because they use their tech in a "smarter way" than Amd.
Nvidia optimization is historically better, as well as driver support and access to unique enterprise-wide technologies that make AMD users' lives more complicated. A classi...

Sure, that's exactly why so many Japanese developers might stick with the Vita for a little longer. The lack of first party titles leaves the market with less competition which means that titles that would once go unnoticed are now perceived by the console's owners.
Also the Vita already have a big enough player base in Japan and have very low development costs when compared with any other console. That said, the Nintendo Switch could ...
