I just got updated last night, right before playing Forza 6. Unfortunately it (i assume) caused my Thrustmaster steering wheel to not work anymore (doesn't show up in the new "devices" section either) so that was kind of a bummer. Also on mine when I play game clips out of the store they just show up as big blank green squares but the sound plays. odd but to be expected I guess.
Overall I really prefer the new layout. Very slick and pretty. Its very fast and...
the freaking future. that was awesome.
well its no tony hawk pro skater 5, but.... (joking)
haha this game looks awesome. its like if Michael Bay could make a video game this would be it. in fact - it would be better than his movies cuz... well.. lets be honest. his movies usually aren't great but they certainly look amazing and probably be better as video games anyway... I'm rambling. but seriously, this game is going to be so much fun.
Every studio knows it's threshold - it's cost to forecasted ROI. I'm sure Remedy knows when Remedy should start winding down. They've got the backing of MS, and MS is giving its full support for this so money is probably not an object. They want this game to be perfect as its a key exclusive to the Xbox one brand and MS wants it to be as flawless as possible.
man.. I'm joining Smoke&Play. They've got it figured out.
profits before progress.
...shame about PT... that was terrifying.
I was always under the impression the scale was based on enjoyment and or quality. I don't remember documents defining the score ratings. To me, a 1 is just simply awful and to be avoided at all costs no matter the specific reason.
Nice one. Very true
its a common sense update. customization and organization are at the top of most peoples lists of things they'd like to be able to do.. probably more so than stream to youtube... especially since you can already stream with twitch. this does seem like an update that sony approached from the bottom up. not many people are really clamoring for png's and youtube when they can't organize or customize their layouts. even the x1 lets you pin things and order them in the dashboard. ...
if i'm being completely honest, i'm a little underwhelmed with the update but... i wouldn't call it two steps back. all of all of the steps are forward, and excellent steps forward at that. if anything, they just weren't dramatic steps forward.
UI may not be completely perfect for the new features but... they are new features.. they will get tweaked in subsequent versions to become even better. lets not forget that until now, ithey weren't there at all so...
now heres where all the sony loyalists come out from the internet after bashing how inferior x1 hardware is to ps4 hardware and tell us that the slower clock speed doesn't matter and devs can still make great stuff on it regardless and how impressed they with the way the graphics look after finding this out... smh.
personally, i think the vita is a bit of a flop. i also think thats sad. i loved my psp but always had reservations about the vita. clearly i wasn't alone...
maybe for some people right now but there are people like me who right now at this very moment have no data caps, a 300 mbps internet connection and terabytes of drive storage. i can download and install a game digitally faster than it takes to run to the store, pick one up and drive it back. even easier, i can just download the pre-order and when the game goes live, just simply open it from the dashboard. no racing out to beat the lines. if i can do this now, today, its only a matter of t...
to be fair, you don't really own the game when you buy it. sure you own the case and the disc itself but you are only really paying for the right to use the studios software on your machine.
I can't personally help but feel discs will eventually go away like tapes, cd's and vhs. it happened with music, its happening with video and digital downloaded games are becoming more and more popular. I personally haven't bought one physical release this gen yet. I...
i think physical media is starting to feel archaic. i know I'm probably the minority on this site but discs are starting to feel like newspapers and faxes to me. they're delicate, slow, completely inconvenient compared to a hard drive and the only trade off is that you can pick it up. *shrug* onward and upward i say.
is that really a problem? i can't even think of a time when my internet has been down... ever. and even if it did go down, the frequency that it would go down pales in comparison to the benefit that you get from utilizing this kind of tech...
why would anyone want to stagnate the progression of new, more capable ways of achieving fantastic amounts of power over an issue that isn't really an issue? its like saying you never want to drive a car cuz it has the potenti...
amen.
Dope scores so far.
Same
i think thats just a learning thing. I've been using it for 2 days now and I already love it way more. Just took me a little bit to re-learn.
