nobody is calling it a console except for weird media stories like this one. not even apple. the games capability is just a bullet point in the features list.
i don't think its trying to. its not even the same class of device. its a media streamer that can play games.... not a console that can stream media. its basically an iPhone for your tv... and if you are like me and have macs and iPhones and iPads, its handy to have one because you already have the ecosystem set up and it has useful features, apps and functionality etc... if it plays games, thats just a perk. i still have a ps4 and x1 for proper, more capable games and even with an a...
88 ;) and its awesome. best racer this gen. hands down. and i own them all. ps4 titles included.
ahh welcome, the rest of you! today is the day (in the states at least). been playing the heck out of the ultimate version since the early access started. its so good.
of course i say this from actually owning and playing both games vs this video which honestly could have been done better with in cockpit views.
they should have done in cockpit views for this comparison.
And f6 is also running way more physics calculations.
The water looks more realistic in f6. Especially the way it beads off the windshield, windows and wipers. The diffusion in the reflections particularly to light sources are also better. As are the atmospherics and tire spray coming off of the cars. Horizons love is good but f6 looks and behaves way more realistically. It's also more dense
It's the best forza Motorsport yet. So good. Very happy I sprung for the ultimate preorder
this should have happened before forza 6 ultimate went live. my hands are full now ;)
i'm actually pretty curious about this nfs though.
great review and a great game. F6 definitely makes up for the few steps back that f5 took. the visual presentation is just fantastic, the physics are great, excellent track and car selections, solid 60 fps performance, telemetry information on tap, and i really enjoy the addition of the race mods. the rain is done really well too. not only does it look great, it doesn't just make your grip less and your braking distance longer, its actually calculated with water amounts, surface materi...
@black0ut:
The Thrustmaster isn't bad honestly - especially for the price. As I said, the Logitech and Fanatec probably have a bit better build quality and the motors are probably a little bit stronger.
If I were you I'd say the Thrustmaster will do the job but if you can hold out a bit for the new Logitech x1 wheel, its probably gonna be closer to the sweet spot in terms of product vs price.
fanatecs are expensive yes, but the thrustmasters aren't really as good either. i own a fanatec, a thrustmaster and a logitech. if the fanatecs are out of your price range, i'd pass the thrustmaster and wait for the new logitech x1 wheel. they are the next best thing imo.
i have a fanatec for the 360, a thrustmaster for the x1 and a logitech g27. the fanatecs are definitely the best in terms of motors, noise, build quality and materials. they are also the most expensive. next best would be the logitech. the g27 doesn't work on the x1 to the best of my knowledge but they are coming out with that g29 x1 equivalent. I'm sure its going to be the next best thing if the fanatecs are out of ones price range. i'm probably going to sell my thrustmast...
uhh... this site is all about sony. people go to punches if xbox has some good news.
@nx. i guess. consoles don't really seem super expensive to me - especially now, considering some of my other hobbies are outrageously more expensive (cars, drones, music gear etc). but maybe it is for some people i guess.
i just like having all the options and not worrying about one game or feature over the other.
I'd be spending the same amount of time either way. Its not like you're buying twice the games, or playing for twice as long. You...
heres a PC mag rundown for 2015:
http://www.pcmag.com/articl...
i strongly disagree. and its not a $400 laptop. I have two brand new macbook pros. when you compare them to a $400 pc laptop you realize why they cost more. not only is the quality exponentially higher, the components are better. and they have more options built in by default. and the components that are the same as on a cheap pc laptop are usually way better... the screens, the ambient light sensors, the batteries (exponentially better btw) all the way down to the little LED indicators...
hahahah i love how threatened everybody feels because apple launched a new appleTV that can play games. relax. if you're already invested in the apple ecosystem, this is a logical upgrade. if you're a parent and want some cheap games for your kids to play, while getting some shows/movies for yourself, problem solved.
its not gonna take over xbox, its not gonna take over playstation. nobody is going to be playing the next COD or DOTA championships on AppleTV - mayb...
They'll exchange it no problem. I've exchanged several things with Amazon. something tells me you're just trolling though.
