Agreed. It new tech AND it has to be good which means even selling it at cost won't be cheap. I was initially expecting it to be in the 600s but now expect it to be at least 400
It's not going to be 200-250, I can assure you of that. The vive and oculus consumer versions are expected to start in the 300s. Sony would have to sell their hmd at a very high loss if it's to be competitive in capability, quality and be under 300. At one point Sony floated the $400 price tag if I'm not mistaken. They definitely said it would cost similar to a new gaming platform.

Stupid review. Clearly a butthurt fanboy on top of it. I don't plan on picking this game up, but this review is worse than the game could ever be. I give this review a 1.3/10

its really fast and slick once you learn where everything is. much more efficient than the launch dashboard.

You can get a lipo pack for it or use an existing one if you've already purchased on ($19) and it lasts about 3-4x as long as the ds4 battery. Plus you can have multiples and just swap them out. Everyone raves about how the ds4 has a built in lipo but the truth is the actual battery itself kinda sucks and when it eventually wears out (along with the sticks) you have to replace the whole controller. Great review. I'm loving it so far. I haven't had the opportunity to play for too long, but it's very addicting, the action is fantastic, the graphics are gorgeous and the multiplayer is just simply the best out there imo. Right down the line.
exactly. they don't want BC because they can make money by renting those same "legacy" games. Making the ps4 BC kills off that revenue stream.

you can purchase req packs... but you can also earn them for free... all you have to do is play a few arena or warzone matches... or level up. not really hard.
I know I'm one of those. I actually get disappointed when the base level build quality feels cheap and there's no more premium alternative. I kinda wish they would make a fancier ds4 for the same reason. Better battery, better materials etc. I'd pay more for it.
To be fair the design they are talking about here is shown in the first couple minutes of the opening cinematic. Still... I get you though. It's like we can't go on the internet around a launch day without someone posting something we didn't want to see. :)
No problems for me so far. I must say it looks and feels better in person than the online gameplay videos. It's so silky smooth and you really notice the texture details that didn't really pop in the videos. Excellent so far. It's made me realize I'm pretty rusty at halo. Ooof. Excellent launch, 343. Can't stay mad at you.

no. thats critical and user review scores. The last couple GTs have been in the 7s on average. the last few forzas have been in the 9s. people can disagree with me all they want but the info is easy to find, and i am a fan of gran turismo. I'm also a a realist and accept that the franchise has been hurting a bit with some pretty epic shortcomings. i'm rooting for it to kill it on the next round though because i do love it.

It's not just a controller tho. It's a whole platform that requires really good screens and hardware to handle the amount of data thrown at it from both the console and the wearer. That's like saying a boat shouldn't cost more than the truck that's pulling it even tho they both handle different aspects of the camping trip.
