Hey guys! Sony has an update! Be grateful and excited or GTFO no matter how small the updates seem to be. Fml. Fanboys can spin anything.

smh. Don't worry bro. You can still love it.

So for all the crap the Xbox gets, it pretty much does almost all of that sans daily motion which is cool I guess and scheduling a play date which seems really worthless to me.. Kind of a disappointing update. It's like they are just added functionality that should have been there from day one. Where's the ability organize or folders ffs? Or external drive support. Or better personalization options.

it was a solution for a problem that didn't really exist. if you own a ps4 (or a sony smart tv), you already have the best features of the pstv anyway. if you own a vita, then you have vita games, and they can be streamed via ps4. as a media streamer, it was a joke and could in no realistic way compete with Roku, Apple, Google, Amazon etc.

as for psvr - i really hope it succeeds, but you're right. a product needs a reason to exist and people need a reason to want i...

because it was stupid. you had a device that was kind of a vita but couldn't play all vita games. you had a tv media streamer built into it that was gimped in almost laughable ways compared to the competition. you couldn't install most of the apps that seemed like they were available to it and its almost entirely proprietary content on top of it.

most of the world doesn't really care about game streaming that much to go buy a device specifically just to stream, ...

Yet I still find myself using my Xbox one more than my ps4.

Personally I think it's just a perfect storm. PlayStation fans got a kick in the nuts last gen. They still prevailed but it was a stab at pride. This gen, MS had a horrible enveiling and instantly went into damage control. Pair that with the ps4 having a bit more power, a helping heaping of hype, most likely generated from the sting of the PS3 launch) and sony's masterful marketing strokes that convinced pla...

Sony should clarify the price already.

man... agreed 100% the game is the same at 900p as it is at 1080p. the important questions are and should always be: do i want to play this game and is it fun?

sure i want games to look amazing but 180 horizontal lines in resolution difference does not any meaningful difference make. i have a 65" 4k sony television. I sit about 10-12ish feet from it. I have a ps4 and an xbox one hooked up to it. I even have a lot of the same games on both systems (i often times ge...

If it was built on dx12/win10 it would have been super fast to port - especially since xb1 nxoe is Windows 10 as well.

i think its a little of both. some games are just more expensive to develop than others. some developers charge too much for too little.

some gamers think $60 entitles them to the world. theres been all this rumbling about how games are getting more expensive but its not entirely true. not always. when the n64 came out, games were between $60-$80. and that was years ago. I don't know what that is adjusted for inflation but I know its a lot more than $60 now.

done. whats new?

3633d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

That's just simply not true. Any time a developer releases an exclusive, they are narrowing potential sales regardless of platform. All platforms is still more than the lead platform no matter how much of a lead that platform has. I.e. 60 million gen8 console sales... Sure around 38-40 of that is ps4 but there are still 20+ million X1 owners and that's still a lot of sales that can be potentially lost by exclusivity.

No business cuts off potential income just for the ...

I have both consoles. The stores both work at a similar efficiency. Ps4 does categories on the left with left to right scrolling of box art and a grid option to see more things. Xbox does its categories top to bottom with all the new stuff in the rows and more button to see the rest in a grid. Both have easily recognizable promo and specials that link to their special categories. The xb1 has player clips and screenshots included in the store in addition to developer images and trailers for ea...

as long as its more fun than the first one... and by that i mean actually focusing on the gameplay itself.
