the physics apply to the cars....
you also have to tune with downforce.. that implies atmospheric pressure... aka wind. you tune your car with less downforce on tracks with more straights, and more downforce for curvy tracks. thats wind. it pushes you down to the track for better cornering but slows you down in overall top speed.
you're talking about props in the scenery. those don't get taken into account by the sim.
you are a loyalist in your own right. hi, pot, I'm kettle.
you are free to express your opinion, but when your opinion is factually wrong, someone is going to object to it.
you are completely overreacting. you can game on any platform you like, i don't care. i have a ps4 myself. i have PCars on PS4. I play it. I just like Forza more. Its a more polished game and a better sim imo. i even said its not the best sim. there are sims that are bette...
hahaha driveclub beats forza on every technical level?
by that mean you mean they dumped all the power in the graphics since they didn't have to worry about running anything other than fake, canned physics at 30 fps... sure, though any racer can do that. just look at the new need for speed - which actually looks better than drive club visually imo.
there are better sims than forza for sure but pcars isn't one of them. maybe iRacing or asetto corsa (...
Finally a comparison of something that actually matters in a racing game (the physics of racing) with two racing games that should actually be compared. This is much better than comparing whose rain looks better on a windshield.
I am loving f6. I have Pcars too and overall I like it but it has some issues. the sim is a little weird and the controller setups are really tedious as you have to do one for every single car you use and when it updates the software they all get wipe...
get the smartglass app. you can do most things remotely. at the very least you can view your notifications and messages. thats how i opted in for the new experience from work when they dropped the invites.
haha nothing says classy like faux gold paint and fast food... especially when the idea is to cram that food down your throat as fast as possible to win said fake gold item. this has america written all over it.
nothing says classy like gold painted stuff and fast food.
yeah. the textures, the lighting, the weather effects, the night environments etc.. all superior and yes - with a solid frame rate :)
forza ftw
the launch broadcast commercial was fantastic. running through all of history's great racing games. brilliant.
what a shot across the bow it would have been if the last racing game it broke through before going full Forza was Gran Turismo 6. haha. oh the drama that would follow.
people shouldn't use amazons topsellers as a metric. its literally like a small percentage of total sales - especially when you consider people like me pre-installed it digitally as soon as it was available. thats a metric that doesn't show up on npd or amazon. most of my friends are all buying digital these days. i know lots of people aren't, but a lot of us are just simply for the speed and convenience.
it probably won't be the highest selling game, but i ...
yeah. i've never been a huge nfs fan in general but i really do love the way this game looks. very impressive.
it really does look fantastic. the occlusion, the gi... all very nice. pbr is the future. i'm even using it more in motion graphics work.
pretty badass.
im excited for this game, and i'll probably even buy it on ps4 but I'm really not jazzed about that ps4 themed design. it feels like a hugely missed opportunity to do something really badass. the ps4 in general looks so sleek and this design is just kinda cartoony and silly. could have been like a really nice graphical silhouette of the vader mask, where you only see the highlights to form the shapes of it or even a black on black helmet design, or doing something clever with the in...
i just received and opted in. it makes it very clear when you opt in that it will be rolled out in waves to those who do opt in.
@s2killinit:
I respectfully disagree. I own it. i finished it. it looked great and had some fun moments but overall i felt it was not that great.. boring even. i tend to agree with most of the reviews of the game. too many cutscenes, too many QTE's, predictable, average story, beautfiul environments that you can't really explore and barely interact with, very rigid gameplay. definitely played better games.
lol, yeah... thats why hardline and the order 1886 are in there. the two best 6.5 average review score games in the world. talk about discerning taste...
E200 must be the "irked it scored better than drive club user comment" error. I bet lots of people on here have that error.
Drive club isn't running a sim at 60 fps, It's running fake physics at 30 fps with dumb ai. . Lot easier to pump up graphics when there is less logic overall. It's number one goal was to look impressive. Not be a great sim. Big difference in priorities.
Drive clubs effects are also cranked way up past real life. I've said it before. Drive club is like a big Hollywood special effects movie that looks beautiful but is exaggerated and not realistic while Forza (...
