no its not. its an iPhone for your tv. its primary focus is media - not games. ouya only did android games. its not even being marketed as a console. its being marketed as what it is. a media device capable of playing games.

i think if you are worried about apple tv stealing all of the console users then you are vastly insecure in your decisions. this thing is absolutely a casual gaming/media device. the fact that it can now play games doesn't mean its going to take over the entire market. I ordered two of them, but not for games. i ordered them to replace my two older ones because i like airplay (use it to play music sync'd in every room of my place) i have a huge iTunes library of music and videos (...
apples been using touch interfaces long before sony. macbook pros, track pads, the remote apps etc...

I just played the full blown ultimate version. So good! Better than 5 by a mile. It even gifted me my real life car (BMW m235i) and some other cars for being a loyal player. Can't wait to dig in more.
The weather and puddles are actually simulated, not just made to look cool and make things arbitrarily harder like a certain ps4 racer. That's impressive to me.

probably not, but I don't think it wants to be, so much as just the capability to be used to play games among other things. definitely for casual players/family at a very low cost. i bet it does better than playstation tv did regardless.. pretty hard not to. its vastly more functional than ps tv considering the apps actually work on it.

2 different games tho, really. i don't really think they should be compared. just like i don't think forza or pcars should be compared to drive club either. arcade vs sim and all
So they gave drive club a higher score and forza is getting 9s and 10s everywhere else just about. Credibility is low for this review....
Another way of saying it is you're reviewing it wrong.
I have a ps4 and an x1 and it's great. I get all the cool media stuff and exclusives that Xbox has to offer and I get all of the cool services and exclusives that playstation has to offer. Im never worried about a game on one platform or a feature on the other because it's covered no matter what. Nothing negative has come of this yet.... Well... It costs more I guess, but if that's not a problem then why not? Besides if you got one console, you could get another most likely.
