Canada too. I bought mine around the holiday season as well, and there were plenty in stock at the Best Buy I went to. GAME is a UK retailer though. I'm only familiar with them as I was once in the UK on a trip. My impression is that they're fairly akin to EB Games or Gamestop.
Yeah, this is something I will never understand, and the second biggest thing that annoys me about Nintendo fans. I like Nintendo just fine, but I will call them out on their anti-consumer practices. It grinds my gears that fans just roll over and accept when Nintendo does things that other companies would get serious flack for. They're the only company who refuses to drop the price of their games over time, and I still haven't forgiven them for axing off VC.

Agreed. I'm not sure why this keeps getting disagrees. Maybe there are a lot of casuals who haven't played the Shantae games. It wasn't too much of an issue for me. The bulk of it was the amount of research I had to put in to find the best compromise between budget, performance and features, which isn't really a thing with consoles. But, once I got over that initial hurdle and got my PC I learned that it isn't actually that tough a transition at all. Heck, if I want to I can use my Dualshock 4 for certain games where it makes more sense to use a controller, and then it doesn't feel all that differ...

Define loyal. I would say that most PlayStation fans I've talked to do qualify as loyal, but they aren't blindly so. They do acknowledge Sony's faults but they will stick with the PlayStation brand as they know they will be satisfied with whatever product they turn out.
