A fourth system would require a miracle and some serious thought behind it to be a success. I’m not saying it’s impossible for a new challenger to successfully enter the market at this point, but it sure as heck wasn’t going to be Google who couldn’t be bothered to even do basic research about the market they were releasing their product into and what consumers actually want in a console.
You might want to check into the nearest drug rehab centre. Whatever you’re on is clearly not good for you.
You only have yourself to blame for investing in an obvious pile of trash.
Well, there are motion capture actors too, but a lot of video game performers really are voice actors. Maybe the distinction can be made when it arises (such as here).
Well, I did secure a full set of the PS2 SMT games when they went on sale for $20. They're open, but in great condition.
What are all these multiplayer Metroidvanias I don't know about? I'm not saying that I wouldn't love to do online co-op in a Metroidvania with a headset. That sure as heck would make for a very different Hollow Knight experience. However...it's no mystery why that genre tends to be single-player only. Not every type of multiplayer game needs to be competitive, but I don't think a Metroidvania would be the kind of game where I'd be clamoring to do online co-op with ...
Nice! I'd probably need a much better paying job to get into that. If there's anything I'd love to have if I did have a museum type setup, limited editions of Persona games would be high on my list.
Maybe I should play Plague Inc. again. Killing off the human race with a disease is good fun...although waiting for it to happen takes a while and the gameplay gets repetitive after a while. I think that's why I stopped playing it.
The player behind the Coronavirus clearly went with the China strategy, which is where China is chosen as ground zero for the disease as its large population and proximity and airports and ports to other countries make it ideal for spreadin...
I'm sure as heck not the kind of gamer who buys games for the sake of having a museum, so I stay out of the whole collector business. Sure, I continue to add prestige to my collection through things like having some collector's editions and pre-order bonuses as well as some games that just aren't very common, at least in physical form. So yes, I do buy these things when they come out, but I open them right away to remove any dilemma about doing so as the value of certain games i...
They are a great studio to have.
The importance of a metascore is blown way out of proportion. It’s an ok guidepost for those who want to get an idea of what the critical reception is for a game at a glance, but let’s not forget that it’s an arithmetic mean, which is a number that can be easily influenced by outliers. The mode (most common score) is, IMHO a much more useful figure if you care so much about scores in general (which in itself is a figure with highly inflated importance).
Can they avoid the mistake of putting more funds into marketing than actual game development for a change? Also, even though MS spends more on marketing than Sony and MS...the XB1 still trails the competition. I'm not saying marketing is meaningless, but there needs to be a balance between that and delivering a product that people actually want over what the competition has to offer. That's what really helps bring in the sales.
So...who would have thought that you have the right to not listen to someone online? Isn’t that common sense? I’m a firm believer in the right to free speech, but if you really want to be heard, there are far better avenues for that. You can say what you want but there’s no law that others should be forced to listen to you.
I’ll be sure to check this out too. I could check out this, Temtem and other similar games for less than the crooks at GF are asking for just one of their latest games plus DLC.
697 hours of gameplay? Longest gaming streak 10 hours? 172 trophies, 4 platinums? Man, I must be slipping off. I really should cut out that whole having a life thing. I'd cut out the job thing too but then I wouldn't be able to buy games, or do this thing called sustaining life so I have a corporeal form to use for gaming, so I had best keep that. Apparently I put 85 hours into Hollow Knight when I was off work with that severe sprain in my left ankle.
Agreed.
At least we know now not to pre-order digital games through Nintendo. I don't live in Europe and tend not to pre-order digital games anyways, but being an informed gamer clearly has its benefits. I feel bad for the consumers who have been and will continue to be burned by policies such as the no pre-order cancellation policy.
Technically a duopoly, but yes. Unfortunately, they're not pushing one another to do better as they're both engaging in the same corrupt practices.
If that’s the case then does that mean I qualify as being loyal to more than one brand?
I suppose that's true. I don't know if Metroidvania is the term I would use for those games, but they do have exploration and you're right that they do have multiplayer elements. I have tried them, and think they're great. Actually, maybe I should replay one of them when I have the time.
