If a lack of power was an issue for consumers, the Switch would have been doomed a long time ago. As it stands, I don't think a transition to a new gen for PlayStation and Xbox will change much. Nintendo can and probably should just double down on why people like the Switch as that will likely be that much more important going forward, but they weren't in the power arms race anyways so they should probably just continue what they've been doing.
Now for the tall order of making Steve less annoying. I wonder if I'm asking for the moon here though.
Technically, yes. CV was in development before RE3, which is incidentally why it feels older in spite of being on newer hardware. I really like both games though. RE3 evolves the formula in such a way that if Capcom were to stick with the old style gameplay, that would have been the foundation they could have built on. CVX feels a lot more classic, but in a good way.
Thanks for saving me some time.
Who knows? The Switch is just about to head into the middle of its lifespan, meaning it will be a good long while before there's any point in speculating about what tech the next Nintendo system will have. Even if they stick with mobile tech, that scene is sure to change in a few years as that holds true for all tech.
Says you. I was able to knife a Hunter to death. That's not something I've attempted in any other RE game. If you knife for most of the early game you won't have much of a problem conserving ammo.
Seems like pretty normal late-lifespan stuff to me. Companies usually respond to that by releasing a new system...which is exactly what Sony's doing.
There are still people to this day who think Mario and Luigi's surname is Mario. Even people who have never seen that movie assume that. I keep telling them that came from a movie that's not even canon.
I've always assumed it's because they see dollar signs. I'm not buying their games regardless of which system they're on though, that much is certain.
I actually think the companies behind the systems encourage it too, as it drives brand loyalty, which in turn drives sales. It's definitely played up, but it turns what would normally be just another boring business rivalry into something people actually get drawn into.
It took the prospect of a tax write-off to incentivize me to purchase one, but I honestly wish I had thought of it much sooner. I do wish Nintendo was more into dropping the price of games and systems like the competition, but I wish I hadn't let that turn me off for so long. It's a great little system. At least waiting had the advantage of getting a model with a better battery.
Even though Nintendo isn't in the power arms race, they should still at least be mindful of the competition. The Switch will also have to deal with even less in the way of third party multiplats excluding ports of older titles, and will no longer be the latest thing. I do think it can and will continue to do well as long as Nintendo's first party support keeps coming, as well as the plethora of indie support.
What Nintendo ought to do is keep focusing on what the ...
Isn't XV what VS XIII turned into? If so, no...but actually yes since it already happened.
Dude, that would make an already intense climb even more intense, especially when you have to balance a heavy load. Sorry Madame President...
You don’t own one, do you? If you did you would see its appeal, at least as a great companion to other, more powerful systems.
If there’s ever a console brand I’ve been consistently satisfied with, it’s PlayStation. That’s why I have no issue whatsoever pre-ordering a PS5 as soon as I am able to.
Whoa, you're poking a hornet's nest man. Nintendo fans believe you should just blindly ignore Nintendo's corrupt practices, because otherwise that would imply that Nintendo isn't the second coming of Christ in the form of a videogame corporation, and who wants to do that? /s
Here's an idea: Not every Pokemon needs to be in the game as you can just transfer them from other games. GF just needs to allow people to transfer their Pokemon over, and that's that problem solved. Having more than one version of each game is also an outdated concept and GF can cut down on dev time and costs by simply having one, better version of a game. Even doing that doesn't mandate having every Pokemon in the game as they can still have different games with their own ros...
I think people with a level head simply want MS to do better and will point out their deficits such as not having enough of an exclusive library. No one in their right mind would say that making gaming more accessible is a bad thing. Maybe they can share some of this tech with their competitors or at least encourage them to try something similar.
I don't think Nintendo subscribes to the gen model. They clearly operate outside of it. As such, calling the Switch 8th or 9th gen is pure semantics.
