I don't often pre-order games because the vast majority of them are games I can get down the road for cheaper, and possibly with some bugs ironed out depending on how the game plays at launch. The only exception I normally make is with games I expect to be uncommon later, which usually applies to games from Japan, excluding the more common AAA games produced in that country.
I played through the game as Jane Shepard, and I don't regret it at all. I also prefer Jennifer Hale's voice acting. The only downside is not being able to have relationships with certain female characters and having to settle for lesbianism with others, but that's just another reason why the Mass Effect series is known for its replay value.
I still use my PS3 more than my PS4. I expect that to change before too long though, with all the new releases coming out and I buy the PS4 version of cross gen titles, which I expect to be further and fewer in between going forward. Even after I move over to a new system as my primary console though, older systems don't go bad like a piece of fish. I enjoy playing my older systems all the time, and even if I didn't have a huge backlog, I still would have kept my PS3 around.
I hate when games suggest I take a break after an hour, or sometimes after even half an hour, but it's not like the game is my mother, so WTF? Another thing I hate, which isn't on this list, is super powerful power ups that only appear when you die a certain number of times. Super Mario 3D Land comes to mind as the worst for that, since it's possible to die a lot due to falling, as opposed to actually sucking. For fun I decided to try dying even more after the gold tanooki powe...
Is that how easy it is to make money these days? I should come up with some equally stupid publicity stunt involving the destruction of expensive hardware. /s Alas, I fear too much education has rendered me incapable of being so idiotic.
You mean, the PS4 is still ahead by 7 million despite the media blowing up over the XB1 selling 400,000 more last month in the Americas and the UK only and predicting it will somehow catch up to the PS4? I did not see that one coming a mile away./s Actually, I was predicting this all along, especially once worldwide figures were taken into account, and given that Sony had at least a 5 million lead prior to last month, even though I predicted it was more than that, this doesn't surprise ...
That is the best way to do it, I think. I do know someone else who liked the first game. I'm not sure what he thought of the second or third because I haven't talked to him in ages, but I won't condemn these games before I see them firsthand. Maybe I will have a differing opinion. It happens sometimes. Other times, I see exactly why people feel a certain way. You're right that anything's possible, regardless of the statistical likelihood.
Wait, Anita Sarkeesian is assisting with Mirror's Edge 2? I'm actually even more curious about the original game's long awaited follow up now. Here's hoping she isn't given too much reign to change things.
For some reason she finds ways to condemn even games like Ocarina of Time and the Mass Effect games that aren't at all sexist, for being sexist. Man, some guy needs to make a channel condemning random games for being sexist against guys. /s Ok,...
I haven't played these games, largely due to their mostly negative reception, but I have been curious enough that I've kind of been holding out for a collection of them. If this ends up being a real thing, I'll probably still wait for a price drop, but there is a part of me that wants to experience this game for myself and draw my own conclusions, even though I will most likely arrive at the same conclusion as the masses. I just wasn't willing to shell out the money for thre...
Well, if MS is starting a third party bidding war it would be foolish of Sony not to get in on it. Don't worry though MS fanboys, Capcom releases so many versions of their fighting games that even if this one turns out to be a permanent console exclusive, the possibility of seeing other versions of this game on the XB1 exists. That is unless Sony paid for console exclusivity of every version of SF5, which is unlikely but I suppose it's possible though that would be far more expensiv...
I would be surprised if the XB1 didn't sell more during Black Friday considering how aggressive MS was, while Sony was fairly passive. I highly doubt the XB1 topped the PS4 by the 5 million it needed to catch up though, and monthly figures as well as global figures for the week will be more telling.
I'm not even going to click this article either. Even as a Sony guy, this article is just as idiotic as the one about the XB1 dominating the console wars on Mars, or in fairlyland or something. "Greatness" is something that cannot be measured empirically, and though the PS4 is a solid system, it is still early in its lifecycle, and the quantity of games, which can actually be measured, is fairly low for the time being.
Hardware wise, yes, it's the most p...
I'm not even going to bother clicking the article. What console war is the XB1 dominating? Clearly not the one in real life that Sony is leading in. I will admit that MS has done more lately to try to sell systems, but they still aren't winning the console war. Of course, if you want to prefer the XB1, go right ahead, and it is true that the system is selling well despite not selling as well as its closest competitor. In a sense, both companies are winners, but if you want to say...
I haven't seen this kind of bias lately at EB Games. It was fairly obvious there was bias back when the XB1 had problems that needed to be fixed such as the forced Kinect, but now both systems appear to be treated equally. Heck, most electronics stores I go to advertise the XB1 more. If fans perceive this kind of bias though, I say welcome to last gen when PS3 owners had to put up with that kind of BS.
I don't know how it's possible to misunderstand 1080P vs 900P. I'm not even going to bother clicking the article.
Shiori Fujisaki. The game is Tokimeki Memorial, and despite never leaving Japan, it has garnered quite a following worldwide. I'm sure when they release the NA version of the trailer that won't be in there, and will probably be replaced by more CoD footage.
Anyways, here's to 20 more years of Playstation. We've had 20 years of great games with Playstation so far, so here's hoping the future will be just as bright.
I agree that Minako is underrated, though I still accept Minato as canon. I actually dislike Theodore as he's simply a male Elizabeth and it's a disservice to one of my favorite characters in the entire series for the devs to write a male knockoff. It may sound hypocritical that I accept Minako, but that's largely because Minato's a silent protagonist type, so creating a female version is fine by me. I generally dislike Rule 63, but swapping silent protagonists is an except...
If I were Sony, I'd have confidence in the PS4 right now, but keep in mind that they're in a position where they don't need a price cut, and while the PS4 is selling really well, Sony's non-gaming divisions aren't, so they can't afford to be hasty with the thing that's keeping them afloat. There are other possible strategies besides a price drop, such as bundles, and they are in fact doing that with the by The Last of Us bundle, get another game free deal. If the...
I'm looking forward to Bloodborne, but I would have had Persona 5 as number one on the list, assuming the game ends up being even half as good as Persona 3 and 4.
Persona 5's not on there? What a fail list. I agree with Uncharted 4 though. On the other hand, too many ads made the blurbs fairly illegible, so I only looked to see what titles were on there.
