I, for one, think this was a good decision. I know lots of people held off on getting the system, because they didn't want to pay $100 for an accessory they didn't want. It's good that MS finally gets the concept of an optional accessory. I mean, sure, Kinect should have always been optional, but at least it will be now.

Most of the games on this list are really old, and some are even for systems I had no idea people still used to play online. I don't blame EA at all for this move. If activity on these servers accounts for 1% of their server traffic, then I can't think of a reason why these servers shouldn't be shut down.
I mean, sure, it's heartbreaking for those who have had good times playing those games online, but that's the problem with online games. They are on...
I do think this cause is a longshot, but my friend asked if I would post about it, so I couldn't say no. If nothing else, likes on his page will at least tell him there are people who sympathize.
I actually choose a femshep when I played ME, for the heck of it. Usually for something of this nature, I would go for a male lead, for the romance elements, but I wasn't originally expecting to like Mass Effect that much. I was wrong. Jennifer Hale's a pro when it comes to voice acting, so it's not surprising that she made a great femshep. I actually think of Shepard as a woman now, just because that's what mine was.
Sigh. Here we go. First of all, "finally"? It only just launched on MS systems. Playstation gamers waited a lot longer to get Mass Effect 1. Sure, it eventually happened, so Titanfall lifetime exclusivity isn't assured, but if it comes to the ps4, I highly doubt it will be so soon after the original launch. In other words, I don't buy this rumor.
I waited a little while to play these games too, after I bought the collection. My backlog sure is awful. I will say though, when I finally got around to them, I was glad I did. I pretty much fell off the face of the earth for a few months, except when I had to go to things like my job. It's one of those games that nails everything, from story, to gameplay, to voice acting. Well, ok, its soundtrack isn't the most iconic out there, but it's above average in all other areas IMH...
Agreed. Or, heck, it could be set centuries later. The Mass Effect mythos allows for quite a bit of flexibility. I'm calling it. It's going to be about Elcor politics, with extra long cutscenes, to accommodate their slow speech.:P
In all due seriousness, I'd like to see a game set either way in the past, without humans, or way in the future. Maybe some of the other galaxies will be explored. Only a fraction of the universe is supposedly featured in the origin...
I bet MS offered to publish the game. That's why it can't be released on the PS4, regardless of who owns the IP. Oh well. I won't be getting a xb1, since there aren't very many games for the system that interest me, so I won't be getting SO. Therefore, it's irrelevant to me.
To be fair, we could both probably do Patcher's job. All we would have to do is come up with predictions, and we would only have to be right a fraction of the time. Yeah, I'm not much of a fan of Patcher's predictions, but you have to respect the guy for landing such an awesome, and straightforward, job.

Thank you! Too much of the gaming media is ganging up on Ninty for something beyond their control. Ninty has nothing to apologize for. Same sex relationships weren't even part of the original program. It grinds my gears when people raise an issue with things, where there is none. It's great of Ninty to say that they'll consider adding such an option in future entries. That's a sign that they plan for TL to take off as a series, and that they have plans to localize future entries, since, as far as I know, Japan is firmly against same sex relationships.
Translation: Our games are made for legit systems, with proper control schemes. These rumours of Ninty going to smartphone development, need to die a horrible death. Even if Ninty quits console development, they've still got the 3ds, which is portable, and is doing well. Besides, if people really want to play Ninty's games that badly, and want to do it legally, they can invest in one of Ninty's systems to play them.
Awesome. There are no shortage of vita titles. What people are really saying, when they say "the vita has no games", is "the vita has no games I want to play". Sounds about right. I think my 18 year old self was kind of like that, if I recall. I think that me, is best left forgotten though. I actually just received my first real comments on my site, that aren't spam, and they're all either positive, or give helpful advice, in a non-insulting way.

Judging by the comments here, I'm sensing that not everyone who reads main articles, reads blogs, and vice versa. Actually, I posted my Nintendo piece here, and did not get any of the flack I got from the community for posting my Sony and Microsoft articles as opinion pieces. I'll believe it when it happens, but I do think making Kinect optional was a good move on MS's part. I look forward to seeing what Sony has up their sleeve this E3, though. If I were them, I'd undercut the xb1 with a cheaper model, likely one with a smaller HDD.
