WTF? And here in Canada we get the lame PS3 sale on used games and refurbished systems for titles that have either been remastered on current systems or are such old news that it's hard to get remotely excited about that sale. Well, I'm happy for my brothers and sister in the UK.
Of course the XB1S is outselling the PS4 Slim as the former is much more of an improvement over its predecessor than the latter. We'll see what happens when the PS4 Pro launches though as that'll be an even larger upgrade.
I doubt it will be a system seller as it was always going to be a cult classic, but I'm looking forward to it. As long as it's good I'll support it. If it ends up being criminally underrated like its predecessors that would be a crime against unique IPs but it wouldn't be anything new, least of all for this series.
Yeah, I'm amazed that MS spends so much on advertising and even runs Internet ads that try to pass off multiplats as exclusives, yeti he XB1 still consistently manages to lose to the PS4 in worldwide sales. It's almost like they're wasting their money. They probably are. But, I suppose it is MS's last ditch effort to catch up to the PS4, so they can do whatever they want with their deep pockets.
I think people are missing the point of the Pro. It isn't to release a new system to compete with PCs or MS's upcoming console. It's to add some power to make games look even better for those who want that and own the right TVs or even those who don't but still want the best looking games possible, but the point is not to alienate current PS4 owners. We will not be shafted. MS said there might be exclusive software for the Scorpio and even though they took a hands off appr...
Well, considering their system is supposed to have 6 Teraflops and is releasing a good year later then being "confident" that they will have the most powerful system ever...for the time being...isn't really news. If anything they should be more than confident, so them essentially saying that they're "pretty sure" they'll have the most powerful system doesn't make them sound as confident as they should be. Plus that's their whole end game. Without pow...
Well, I support Sony's decision to promote a newer, higher spec system without alienating its current install base. I'm cool with games looking better on the Pro as long as all PS4 software will be playable on the current model. If they want a new system with exclusive software that takes full advantage of its hardware then they can wait till they role out their next gen console. Clearly what they're going for here is a system that can upscale to 4K and make PS4 titles look awe...
Well, as I rarely ever buy games at full price anymore unless they're titles I expect to be uncommon later that I also really want a physical copy for, or if I really want the collector's edition for a franchise I'm really fond of, I wasn't planning on getting NMS right away. My main reason has less to do with judging games as being unworthy of my money and more to do with having a large enough backlog that the game will be cheaper by the time I get to it. Plus it's not ...
Seems about accurate. Note that not everyone feels inclined to report issues when they happen. In fact, most just rant about it online or just stop playing said game. I have yet to play it myself TBH, but I'm looking forward to checking it out at a later time, probably post-price drop. Reviewers I trust like Becky Cunningham and LGR both gave it a reasonable score...well, in LGR's case he didn't really give it a score but said it's worth playing for 40+ hours to get to the...
Good to know, but I don't think I'll click the link. I don't like to generate hits for a site that doesn't deserve it. I'm actually kind of looking forward to trying this game. I might not get it for a while, but I am at least curious to know what my starting planet will look like. I'm all for an experience, especially if it's a unique one. Whether NMS lives up to my expectations will likely be a very subjective matter, mind you as I think I'll actually ha...
I'm pretty sure the author of this article is over-generalizing. Some console gamers prefer digital. I prefer physical myself, but that's because I like to own games and have a disc and a case I can hold. It harkens back to the old days of gaming. I l also like having a collection that I can see and touch. I'm not "adverse" to digital though. If the price is right on a PSN Flash Sale I might get the digital version of a full retail release. There are also plenty o...
I'm not going to click the link because it seems clickbaity. I'm actually looking forward to Nintendo's latest console for a change, especially if the digital libraries of both their consoles and handhelds are brought together. That way I can finally play some 3DS titles on my TV or some digital GBA games on an actual handheld. If the new system will be b/c with 3DS and WiiU titles, even if it's just digital titles, then that will be great. Nintendo's biggest strengths...
I am so inconvenienced by the PS4's lack of BC. What's a guy with a working PS3 to do? Oh wait...that's what my PS3 is for. I also have a PS2 for my physical PS2 games. Why do articles like this get approved?
Between this story and the one where a guy was caught cheating because he was dumb enough to catch a Zubat or something outside of his ex's house, I'm going to have to assume a lot of Americans aren't very smart. Granted I'm sure when the app releases officially in Canada we'll probably have a lot of stories of stupidity too. There are probably one or two floating around of Canadians who have the app illegally right now.
I already commented on the article, but why Christine is attacking the Neo and not the Scorpio, not to mention that she has it confused with the S, which I didn't catch the first time I skimmed it, is beyond me. If anything, the PS4 will continue to be an excellent companion to a gaming PC.
I see, thanks for clearing that up. It makes sense then that Sony would want to focus on one expo over the other. Yeah, I do think they should at least have a booth on the show floor. Nintendo hasn't had an E3 conference in years and this year they didn't even do their usual Nintendo Direct video, but they've always at least had something on display on the show floor. Heck, a new Zelda game practically sells itself. Sony can probably get away with just showing and not telling...
I'm not from Europe, but as Gamescom is the closest thing you guys have to E3, I feel for you. Then again there is also Paris Games Week. Someone will have to explain the difference to me, but to my understanding Gamescom is in...Germany? PGW is obviously in Paris. Either way, I think Sony should have attended Gamescom. They probably don't because they have PSX and they're going to PGW, not to mention TGS which MS isn't attending. I guess neither company has a perfect tr...
And...just for the sake of pointing it out, most of these games are multiplats that will be available on the PS4. All MS dud was provide a stage to show these games. In all fairness, yeah, I'm glad they did. I guess there is merit to watching the Xbox press conference even though I have no intention of owning an Xbox. I've been waiting for Stardew Valley to hit consoles for a while now and I'm looking forward to playing it on my PS4. Or Vita if it comes to that, but I don'...
Heh, same reason why I prefer PlayStation to Xbox. I like a good variety of genres actually, but I do have a fondness for Japanese games, and not just JRPGs, which everyone in the West seems to think encompasses all Japanese produced titles. I'd be very disappointed if my system of choice couldn't play Persona 5 or Ni no Kuni 2. If that were the case then it wouldn't be my system of choice. I could take or leave Nioh.
