How did Koromaru not make this list? Epic fail. At least Sam from Sam and Max made it.
WTF? How did he manage to fit it down his pants? I'm not surprised he was caught. Too bad there are no pics or footage of how he looked with a PS4 in his pants.
Screw the details. I just want to know the release date so I can pre-order this game, then save it till after I finish my next semester so I can disappear for a few months without real-world stuff getting in the way.
Yeah, it was all a big fluke that 25+ million PS4's were sold. Whoops, Sony accidentally sold 10 million more consoles than the competition. And yes, hype is the only reason people bought the system. /s Do the authors of these articles hear themselves think? I'm no psychology major, but I would love it if someone who is were to to analyze them. They might come up with some interesting data.
If it's this easy to get hits, I should write an equally stupid article about how skipping TGS is a bad decision on MS's part, despite knowing full well why they aren't presenting at TGS. Let's just pretend Paris Game Week, TGS and Playstation experience don't exist, and/or won't be important for Sony. Yes, MS showed off some neat tech, now Sony has three shots to show off what they have, as well as any games that might be in the works (which is really what gaming is...
I like a variety of different games with a variety of different gameplay elements. It's fine by me if people want to debate whether certain experiences can be called games, but that's largely irrelevant to me. What's important is whether I enjoy it, and if I do then you can call it whatever you want, but that won't change how I feel about it. I'm just stoked the PS4 is continuing to be home to all sorts of titles.
It was safe to say that ages ago. The author of this article must have somehow missed the last couple years.
Any reason to see an increased number of localized titles in the West is good for us. Here's hoping the PS4 will pick up in Japan before too long though. Japanese sales are still important for Japanese devs to see the system as a viable platform to develop for. The success of the PS4 here is a great incentive for games that are out or planned for the system to start making their way over here though, so that's great news.
Good for them. In the meantime I'll do my best to avoid sending any of my money Konami's way. If I must play one of their games, I can always buy it used. Thank God physical media is still around, or I'd have to avoid their IPs entirely.
I don't normally reply to the comments, but kingdom18 is correct. All VanillaWare titles share a similar art style. Dragon's Crown is the only one I've played that's isometric. The others are all side scrollers. Muramusa is the spiritual successor to Odin Sphere, and both games look and play quite similarly. Odin Sphere is set in more of a medieval, European-esque setting loosely inspired by Norse mythology(the key word being loosely), whereas Muramusa has a traditional J...
Well, Konami sure is making a great business decision by getting on the bad side of gamers who, you know, are supposed to be buying Konami's games. I'll do my part by buying Konami games used from now on, or avoiding them entirely. I'm definitely not interested in giving a company like that any money right now. They'll have to earn my support back. They can start by paying Kojima properly for his work, or allowing him the budget to work out his vision. Firing the current ...
So, basically the XB1 has one spec that's slightly better than the PS4's and the author of this article downplays the fact that the PS4 destroys it in all other specs? I guess by that logic the Genesis is more powerful than the SNES.
Sony has a blank slate for exclusives for the rest of the year? That's news to me. Meanwhile, back on earth, I'll be enjoying the exclusives the PS4 has to offer. I may even disappear for a few months when Persona 5 hits. Suffice to say I gave this story and this site negative votes.
I left a nice comment on the article itself since I have a Disqus account. This article isn't worth commenting on twice. I guess I kind of just did, mind you...
I didn't click the link because it's obvious clickbait. I'm surprised it's got the most degrees. That's the only reason I'm taking the time of day to even comment on it. I have to say though, doesn't the fact that it was released in a market over saturated with zombies show exactly how TLoU is a cut above the rest? I mean, it earned its praise in a time when a game featuring any variation on zombies had to be something special, and I think that's still true...
Interesting. That means that I fit most of the categories. Maintaining 2-3 hours of gameplay a day might be where I fall short, at least on days that I have other commitments or a prior engagement, but I do enjoy a variety of games across a variety of gens, and would take a game with solid gameplay but poor visuals over the vice versa any day. Plus, I do make a point of fitting some gaming in on days when I'm busy.
However, I wouldn't dismiss someone who plays CoD ...
I don't think a decade of dominance is in the cards, but that's only because I don't think this gen will last as long. Granted, the 6th gen didn't last a full decade but the PS2 still kept selling well afterwards so anything's possible. I do think the PS4 is set to dominate this gen though, and I look forward to the latter half when we'll be seeing a slew of great exclusives for the system. In the meantime I'm super stoked for Persona 5, The Last Guardian, No Ma...
Poorly written? That's news to me, as I enjoyed them both, story and all. Granted, neither is my favourite in the series, but that's just personal opinion. I suppose MGS4 is the only game in the series that doesn't rest on its own merits since you pretty much have to be familiar with at least MGS1-3, but as the quintessential epilogue chapter that's kind of to be expected. Sure, both games have their cheesy moments, but so does the entire MGS series, bearing in mind that M...
Wow, this is a sad day for gamers. I pray for the future of Nintendo. My condolences to his family.
One timed exclusive against all of Sony's first and third party permanent exclusives? Yeah, I wouldn't be too concerned either, especially since PS4 owners will be able to play Rise of the Tomb Raider eventually. Besides, the PS4 has Uncharted 4 and that's never coming to the XB1.
