The ps3 will still be getting awesome Jaapanese titles, and the port of Slender is coming later this month so tossing one's ps3 is a little extreme. Besides, I have a huge backlog, and I have since stopped getting rid of my old systems, because I regret it every time. I am looking forward to my ps4 becoming my primary system in due time though. Having games like Persona 5 on my new system is a good start. I would have been happy with just a ps3 version, but the announcement of a ps4 v...

Whoa! I'm not a sports gamer, but dropping $95 on micro transactions is dedication. I don't need to watch the video to know why his wife might be upset about that though. Madden and Pokemon are two different things, but I guess the core principle of team building is there in both cases. I'm not going to respond to the "...with Black people" part of the comment. As a White guy, I don't think it's my place to.

So SE hated their fans even back when everyone was singing their praises? Good to know.

Anita Sarkeesian is back? I don't hate her, and I think the issue of the portrayal of women in videogames is a real issue that should be explored. I do agree that the abuse and over-sexualization of women in games is unnecessary and I do prefer when female characters are treated with respect.

My problem with Anita Sarkeesian's series is that she just doesn't offer any real arguments. She simply describes a controversial issue, and dedicates vids to each of it...

Only 4000 to 5000 years? Pfft. What's an immortal being to do with the rest of eternity?/s Seriously though, that's still impressive, and still way, way more than big enough that it might as well be infinite, considering men and women are mortal, and we will only see a fraction of this universe in our lifetime. I fail to see how this news makes the game any less impressive. At most, it just explains something we already knew: that there must be some limitation to the software. <...

The author of this article clearly doesn't know Japan. From Conception II to Akiba's Trip Undead and Undressed to the Senran Kagura series and then some, Japanese games are famous for being at least a little bit controversial, and the stuff I mentioned is all localized stuff. If you want real controversy, try some of the stuff that never makes it over here. I wish I could unexperience that Cho Aniki game I tried back in '09(I think), but I can't. Then again, I heard before...

Above all else, let's hope it doesn't disappoint. As awesome as the first game is, development hell is notorious for the games that come out of them not quite living up to the hype. Thankfully that's not always the case. I'll keep an eye on this one, and hope it's everything fans could hope for.

Double comment. Not sure how it happened.

I played this game a long time ago on my psp. I didn't dislike it, but I didn't find it that memorable either. It wasn't fantastic or terrible for me. It just was. I'd probably give it a 7/10 too.

I was a Genesis kid until late '96, then I was a Playstation kid. Actually, was is the wrong word, since I've owned every Sony system since then. My friend across the street was a Nintendo kid, and we played each other's systems all the time, so it wasn't so much a fanboy thing as a practical thing, to get the best of both worlds(and bond while we did it). While I can't claim to have played it all, I grew up with both Mario and Sonic, and Link, and Crash Bandicoot, and ...

Do it. I love that series. The person who disagreed with you is probably easily disturbed. It's an interesting take on the horror genre, to say the least. As for me, I think I'll snag Brothers, and that new How 2 Survive game. I was thinking of getting Brothers, but I don't usually pay full price for things. I tried the demo for How 2 Survive today, and decided it's decent enough(I already tried the Brothers demo awhile ago). I can live with $15 for two games. Too bad...

Lol. I didn't want to offend anyone with this list, but I imagine some do fall into that category.

It sure does. It looks to be one of those games where you leave logic at the door.

Yeah. I want all of the above. More games are always a good thing, regardless of what they are, or what kind of budget went into them.

You must be taking this topic at least a little seriously. You found it important to set aside part of your day to respond to my post, with some fairly lengthy replies, I might add. I must say, I'm flattered.;) If you want to find immature though, I'd suggest looking in a mirror, unless the definition of immature has been changed.;) I do enjoy these chats though. Unfortunately, I don't have any more time(or bubbles) to spare for this conversation. If you want to chat again so...

Because I don't take things as seriously as you do? I think the fact that some AAA devs are shown up by some indie devs, warrants some kind of jab, but to each their own. Enjoy the upcoming AC game. I'm sure it will be fun.

Wow, I wasn't expecting the response this post got. It was just an observation I had, and the purpose was to generate discussion, which seems to have worked. Of course, as a male gamer, playing as a male character is just fine with me. It has, however, been apparent for years that he opposite sex is under represented in videogames, especially when it comes to playable characters. My jab at Assassin's Creed was meant to be more playful than serious. I think AC is a great series. ...

I admit this one was a little more rushed than usual. It's a life sim where a family lives in a shelter, and has to get by, and also survive. It looks like the family has to occasionally leave the shelter to find food and resources, and sometimes make decisions on whether to let certain people in. Apparently other survivors are treated as a potential hazard though. The Kickstarter page has all the info.

I guess I could have added a couple more paragraphs describing t...

It is a personal blog, but if you want to be technical, it's my second sentence that's incorrect, not my punctuation.;) I didn't really put much thought in my headline TBH, but thanks for pointing that out. I must have been out of it this morning. Maybe I should check the rest of my story. Nah, I'm too lazy to bother at this point. I'll just have to make sure to do better tomorrow. @monochromer: I'm open to constructive criticism if you have any suggestions.

I think reviews are warranted, but they should be handled differently. I'm sure a lot of owners of the ps3 version(myself included), want to know if it's worth investing in the game again. Of course its merits as a game should be the same as before, but again, lots of people already own it for the ps3. As for the question of the article, my answer is, the same reason why not absolutely everyone gave the original game perfect 10s. Everyone has an opinion. I expect the remastered g...
