What's embarrassing is that someone actually thought PlayStation fans would click a link for an article with a headline like that.
Well, one problem with having too much choice is I often just don't end up buying anything because I can't decide on which game I want to check out. Even digital services on consoles can at times present that problem but that's been tenfold with Steam. Plus, if I do invest in anything it just ends up going to my backlog.
So true. It's like they invested in the highest quality gatling gun they could to fire back at the competition...then forgot to also invest in ammunition, rendering it moot.
Wasn't FFXV highly successful? I mean, it was in development hell for a long time, but it came out of it remarkably well. I doubt the FFVII remake will truly make or break the franchise at this point. We will probably see a FFXVI at some point. Probably no time soon, but I don't think FF is anywhere close to done.
Sony can just keep doing what they're doing. I think a better question is what can they do to make me not want to watch their E3 event. I'd say the odds of me not at least closely following Sony's announcements are pretty slim.
By having very little to do with the games. It's too bad a court case forced a reboot in 2012 though as that's when I stopped reading them. Based on what I've heard about the rebooted series there is some stuff I'd really like but at least a couple huge deal breakers that make me glad I made tracks, I mean besides the loss of so many characters and story elements from my childhood that caused me to leave the series behind in the first place.
I enjoyed the first game, but how would a sequel work story wise? I guess it will have to either render one of the endings canon and the other not, or star a different lead character in a different town.
Well, I enjoyed the original game but that was many years ago now. I may consider checking this one out.
Good read. The DS is one such Nintendo "innovative" system from that era that I don't mind so much as it's one such gimmick that can actually enhance a gaming experience rather than detract from it. I think the Switch is a step in the right direction all things considered, but the DS and 3DS are still great systems.
Maybe they can consider releasing another one of their flagship titles before too long...pity this happens to be the year when they're between such releases. They don't really have much else to fall back on either, so maybe it's time Ninty took back the second spot.
That's a shame as I'm sure it would do really well on the Switch. Maybe the problem has something to do with Nintendo's restrictive online infrastructure? Otherwise, I can imagine it would do exceptionally well as it would also be playable on the go.
I'm not clicking the link, as I may be in the minority here, but I don't typically play "bleeding edge" stuff on Steam. Then again I'm also mostly a console gamer who also owns a laptop for the occasional Steam title, so I'm definitely not the authority on the finer points of the service. I don't know if I would call it unhealthy for gaming though. It allows for quick and easy access to a wide range of titles so I can see why it has really taken off in popular...
It's an opportunity...but will MS take it? If not then it's not a good thing no matter how much anyone tries to spin it.
If they want to, then they should go for it. I just hope they go with a more common memory card format, and also plan on supporting their new system if they do. I love the Vita, but it's not thanks to Sony. It's thanks to all the other Japanese and indie studios that have carried it over the years. But, Sony really ought to figure out what worked for the PSP that they didn't do with the Vita. I think a great deal of first party and Western support early on really helped that ...
Haven't PC games been ported to all consoles, and won't that continue to be a thing in the future? I mean, sure it's only a percentage of PC titles, but it's unlikely the Switch will somehow be getting a higher ratio of them than say, the PS4. Speaking of Sony, I'm sure they're shaking in their boots, all the way to the bank. I'm sure the Switch will be more successful than the WiiU, but it needs to start from scratch for sales figures while the competition has ...
I still play mine from time to time. I still have a PS3 backlog and it has PS1 Classics and more PS2 classics, making it my retro platform too. It's also my preferred method of viewing the Vita store, which I know I can do on my Vita, but I prefer not to. Regardless, b/c isn't an issue for me and though my PS4 is great for modern titles, it doesn't hurt to hold onto the rest of the PlayStation ecosystem for other purposes.
Really? That's a steal. I really enjoyed The Order myself. I'm just hoping we will one day get the sequel that finishes the story.
Well, I own both a PS4 and Vita. Does that count? I also own a PS3 and PSP. I think my PlayStation needs are met regardless of whether I can sit in front of my tv, although that is my preferred choice for gaming. Wait, when did MS come out with a handheld? I suppose laptops kind of work for "playing anywhere", but eh...I'll stick to my 3DS and Vita for that. My gaming laptop has a terrible battery life and is better suited to playing at home anyways.
I don't think something subjective can be "scientifically proven", but I love Contra.
I just beat this game and got the true ending. I never did repair the broken laptop and figured it was a gift to give Futaba at some point but I guess that explains where to get more retro games to play. Otherwise, this list fails because I did know about every other "secret" in the game, and I'm sure anyone who played the game would as they're not exactly obscure things. I suppose I didn't see the dramatic scene for dating multiple women either but I figured there wo...
