Well, MS has the online FPS niche covered, but Sony has lapped them many times over in the story driven department. Pandering to one type of gamer is well and good, but the PS4 has taken this gen because it has something to offer more types of gamers. Variety is a good thing.

I'd love for Bioware to give the series another shot if they can figure out why fans loved the original trilogy and weren't so fond of Andromeda.

People are having issues with the PS4's download speed? This is news to me. My PS4 downloads games pretty fast. It's my PS3 that can be quite slow, but then I don't use my PS3 much anymore, so it's a moot point.

I can't imagine they will, and even if they did, I can't imagine how that would make Xbox win.

We're allowed to have the Skylight Freerange games, which no one should play, in all their uncensored glory, but not this? I'm actually surprised companies still think slapping an AO rating on something is suicide in this day and age, when most gamers are adults now. That's such an outdated line of thinking. Also, everyone is just going to sign up for a European account if they want to play this game and don't already have one.

I never beat the first game in the Patapon series, and it and both its sequels are still in my backlog, all on UMDs I might add. I might dust off my PSP and try to marathon them. I won't buy this remaster though. I'm glad such an underrated classic is now available on the PS4 as otherwise it probably would have been forgotten by all but a select few. However, there are no new features, and it's only the first game. A collection might have made more sense, but I guess getting a...

Is it odd that the first thing that comes to mind for me is this: https://m.youtube.com/watch...

So much for the exclusives don't matter argument.

It's up to the consumer to decide what is and isn't worth their hard earned money.

I've heard about this game but never got the chance to play it. I might check out this remaster.

Is it strange that the Gears of War creator is skipping the XB1? Well, choosing the system with the higher install base does make sense from a business perspective.

I see. Thankfully the core game is still great IMHO, aside from the occasional animation glitch. I just opted to let my partner drive after a while as traversing the LA of the 1940s as presented in the game got old. The best parts were the main missions anyways IMHO. I believe there's stuff that needs to be done in the city to get the platinum trophy, but I just didn't bother as it was just too tedious. It has been a long time though. First and foremost I still regard LA Noir as...

It's fine if Nintendo wants to march to the beat of their own drum, but it has to be for the right reasons if they want to succeed. Do they genuinely think they have stumbled upon a formula that will appeal to gamers or do they have another reason for their techniques? Are they merely too cheap to invest in proper hardware? Do they lack the technical know-how to make a proper online infrastructure? Are they hipsters for the sake of being hipsters? Do they just not think they're c...

I don't think it justified the full launch price, but I got a digital copy for $8CDN in a PSN Flash Sale and was more than satisfied with the experience. I come from an era when not everything needed vast open worlds or replay value, so The Order worked for me. It also reminds me of classic stealth-action games. Oh, and the visuals are great and make me reminisce about my trip to England and France 10 years ago. I really do like the classic architecture and steampunk elements featured...

I've never heard of this before but it looks interesting, and I love England and am interested in its history.

I've never heard of this company so their statement means a lot to me. /s Also is it weird that I've never really thought much or paid much heed to rumble features in games and controllers since the 6th gen? It's just kind of a thing that exists.

They actually released the first Skylights Freerange on PSN. Of all the series where we get entry 2 first we actually did get the first game in a series no one should play. Seriously, do yourself a favour. Don't check either game out. I can't warn you enough.

However, having more games on PSN isn't a bad thing no matter how you try to spin it. I'm glad Sony allows smaller indie studios the freedom to release their games to a console audience. Not every...

I hope one somewhat lacklustre entry didn't kill off an otherwise amazing franchise. I think even Andromeda has its merits but it doesn't even come close to the awesomeness that is the original trilogy, which is not how a current gen entry in one of last gen's amazing series should be. If Bioware can go back and remember what made the original games great, maybe there's hope for this franchise. If not, then maybe it's best if they let it die. I just wish Andromada is n...
