That's kind of an issue with games in general though, especially games that depend heavily on patches and DLC to shape the experience going forward. Of course reviewers can only work with what they have to provide reviews for early adopters. I think in some instances there are grounds to do a review of the game down the road to examine the completed product, but I don't know if that would be profitable for review sites. I think those "I played two hours of an 80+ hour RPG"...
I never did get the PC gamer elitism. Graphics do make a difference, but have you seen some of the ports of multiplats on PC? I prefer a controller too, so I tend to just stick to my PS4 for AAA gaming. I even buy a lot of indie titles on my PS4 as that's what I'm most confortable with. Exclusives are a moot point as I can't get them on Steam anyways.
I always assumed that PC gamers feel superior because they navigated the nightmare that is researching PCs ...
Eh...all gens have their good points relative to their time, and gens that immediately precede the current one can still have strengths over their successors, so there's no harm in dipping back into the past. However, I tend to find even numbered gens more comfortable and with fewer growing pains than odd numbered gens. The reason for this is that it seems every other gen revolutionizes things in a big way, while every other gen builds on the foundation set by the previous one and may i...
I own both. My life is just fine.
Well, he has been on life support for a long time. They should either make Sonic Mania the new direction for the series, or just take him out back. He hasn't been relevant since maybe Sonic Adventure, but his prime was in the Genesis days. There are Sega IPs that people want to see make a comeback but haven't since they keep sinking change into pointless 3D Sonic games. It's good that Sega wants to keep the mascot alive as a throwback to the past, but I think it's time to ...
I don't think one game qualifies as a franchise. I'm glad this game is coming back though as I certainly wasn't expecting that.
Indeed. The "quality over quantity" argument that Harada guy made is rendered moot by the fact that several new characters were added instead of the usual three or four. It's great to see more new characters than usual, but past entries consistently had at least a few new faces and didn't come at the expense of fan favourite characters. And yes, I call BS that no one was using some of the characters that were cut.
Moreover, they added in guest charact...
I never did play SFIV, so I might actually pre-order this now.
I think Sony could absolutely do well with a new handheld if they play their cards right. Here's hoping they will have learned from the Vita if they do decide to try again.
It broke a portion of the internet, but I question their intelligence.
The Switch VC can't come soon enough. I wish they'd wait until then to phase out the Wii's VC.
You should buy whatever you prefer? Spoiler: this article doesn't contain any info that we don't already know. It's just a list of the pros and cons of physical and digital that we're already aware of. Also, there's really nothing here that's specific to the PS4. If you prefer physical, go for it. If you prefer digital, that's cool too. That's why it's great that we have systems that give us the freedom to choose what's best for us.
Eh...I'm not actually offended by this, because I think the Switch is the only system where this can be pulled off effectively. I don't think you can connect four PS4s or XB1s in that way. Maybe you could simulate something like that with online play, but that wouldn't be the same experience, and would likely involve playing with seven other strangers, on eight separate systems instead of four, and you would stay in front of the same system as you'd just be playing online on...
It's hard to say what their plan is, but it may not involve the console market much further. I guess we'll wait and see what they decide, but they're clearly not happy with the current status quo. Companies adapt in their own way. Most, like Sony, have adapted to the here and now and are investing in the present. Some, like Nintendo, are finding unique ways to provide products the consumer wants while staying true to their identity. Some, like MS, are trying to "revoluti...
Yeah, the only reason MS is heavily investing in "the future" is because they're lagging behind the competition in the present, and are also unhappy with all the used game purchases. Here's hoping that future will also include a proper lineup of exclusives year in and year out, but I'm not holding my breath on that. Also, the "without boundaries" bit is a lie as I have no trouble believing MS looks forward to the day when they can implement DRM without people...
This just in: Nintendo characters are made to look like humans, and that apparently make this porn. Or maybe the internet is just retarded. One or the other. I mean, first it was established that Mario has nipples, and now Luigi has a crotch bulge. The most we can establish from this is that Mario's lack of chest hair is frightening for even a short Italian like him, and that Luigi is male.
Yes, yes it is. If you have to ask, hang your head in shame.
So...from this score we can assume that this collection is on par with the Silent Hill "remasters"?
I have the PS3 and PSP games, and the PS3 download of Gunstar Heroes. I don't have either Toejam and Earl game though. Any word on what the full list of games is? That Steam link looks like it might be for a different collection, but I'd love if that was the list.
I got an external 2TB HDD that works great, only cost $90CAD before taxes, and was easy to plug in and set up, so I don't think upgrading the actual SSD is strictly necessary.
