Only if they pull a complete 180 and stop trying to ruin the industry just because they don't always get their way. I think the last straw for me was when they found their singleplayer games weren't selling as well as they wanted, so they tried to sabotage the success of other singleplayer titles by starting a rumour that singleplayer games were dying. They even paid Amy Hennig to say something to that effect as they thought we would listen to the creator of Uncharted, not realizing...
I would rather evil schemes to control the future of gaming born from a disdain for used game sales be kept away from PlayStation. When it comes to physical vs digital, I'm pro choice, and I just like owning my games. Besides, GaaS as certain less reputable industry giants are proposing, sounds like it will have aberrant effects on gaming in the long term should it be adopted across the entire industry. As a service on the worst-selling of the three major consoles the effects will be m...
I wouldn't expect there to be much of a comparison. The Switch has the convenience of being a hybrid system, but it's never going to match the resolution of its competitors. As long as the core experience is there, that's the main thing. People who prefer resolution over the option of portability can simply get another version of the game. I have the PS4 version myself. The Switch just offers a different option for those who want it, and I support an industry that has choice....
I like Ubisoft. They're arguably a more reputable company than the likes of EA and Activision. However, I feel no obligation to do anything just because some journalist says so, and neither should anyone else. If Ubisoft wants support from gamers, they can get it through the normal means: by making games everyone wants to play. If their IPs are ever criticized, it's not because the company is disliked, but because they could improve in some areas. Also, I just have a hard time fe...
Horizon also looks great due to having great polygons and textures. Resolution makes things more clear, but it doesn’t actually change the in-game character models and environments. But, yeah, going off of CheatCC’s rant about open worlds, that’s one game that got them right. I prefer lively worlds to ones that look pretty but lack substance.
You realize SSB isn't that kind of game right? People want characters from games and sometimes anime, because they suit the ridiculous, over-the-top nature of this series and often already have an applicable range of abilities to build a moveset from. I'm not saying a professional athlete won't work as Princess Peach and even Mr. Game and Watch have had attacks built around their characters, but you also have to consider things like art style. Characters who are already cartoon...
No, leave BS like that to MS. Sony will drop discs when the consumer is done with physical media. MS may drop discs before then, simply because they hate losing revenue to used game sales, but they'll say it's because they're "embracing the future". Sony actually takes the time to know what their audience wants and use that as the cue on how to proceed.
This practice needs to stop. It's hurting the industry, as informed gamers don't buy new releases anymore since we pretty much have to pay extra for the pleasure of being some company's beta testers. Screw devs and publishers who do that. Some companies actually do beta testing, and hats off to them, but I'm not forking over $80CAD for a buggy mess of a game.
As for the practice of releasing games with only some of their content only for gamers to wait ag...
So, what I'm getting from this is, I should have a kid and mention my kid playing a game I have in an article, and that's instant clickbait? I'll have a kid one day, hopefully in the next 10 years, but I'm not in a rush, lol. I also don't think I'd use him/her as instant clickbait, but that's just me.
I see. That's good. My main concern though is whether the game is good, lol. Pretty much all of the material I've read on this game talks about the stuff that really pushes the M rating to its limit, and not at all about how the game is to...um...play. Like, what are the game's mechanics like?
Yeah, if I'm not mistaken this game was making headlines for having gratuitous nudity, but that's about the only thing I know about it at this point, because I don't do early access. Oh, I also know that the Xbox version is supposed to be censored. I'm not sure about the PS4 version. I heard it might differ by region, but I'm only going off of what little I think I remember from reading a few articles ages ago so don't quote me. In any case, I haven't heard muc...
Because that's where they'll announce a good portion of the multiplats we can enjoy on our PS4s? That's probably the main reason why I follow their E3 announcements. I don't generally tune into their conference though.
Here's hoping that's the case. VA recording doesn't necessarily mean the game is nearing release, but it's at least a good indication that the bulk of the animation is finished (as regional dubbing requires lip movements to try and match dialogue to).
I generally stick with English VA if it's an option. If it's not, I'll make due. Corpse Party is a prime example of a game with no English dub but I love it anyways and think it's some of the best VA I've ever heard. Most Japanese VA isn't as good as that though IMHO, and I just prefer to hear things in my language when it's an option.
Yeah, in this case the English VAs match the Disney characters as we know them here in the West.
Licensing is BS. There's a reason why it features prominently in my list of top 10 gaming BS. If I were to write out such a list and rank each item, licensing would definitely be in my top 3 at the very least.
No more than any other game, which is to say, no.
Open world games are great when done well. Horizon is a good example of that. It's true that many games fail to get that formula right though, and I find those games tedious, especially when it comes to travel time. Also, some games are just better without open worlds, like how Mass Effect is better when it's more linear. Open worlds are just one of many mechanics a game can have though, and like with anything, it depends how they're used. Guerrilla knew what they were doing ...
Yay? :/
I stand corrected. I must be going off old information. That just proves my point further.
