Great score and very high praise from the game. The final score seems a little low considering the scores other games like Gears 2 recieved from the site. Pues, asi es la vida.
It hasn't been in development for 5 years.
Besides, does that mean that the longer the development time, the better the score should be? I don't think so. There is obviously no such correlation. In fact, some of the games in development for the longest were also some of the biggest disappointments (Too Human, cough, cough...).
I don't believe games should be scored for what they aren't, they should be scored solely on what they offer.
I don't care if other games have co-op. That shouldn't mean that every shooter from now to eternity must have co-op.
Resistance 2 had 60 player multi-player does that mean that every game from here on out must have 60 or more players or they get docked? That line of thinking doesn't make any sense. A game should be judged on what it offers, not on what p...
@ edonus
Fair post. But, I am curious...if all the exclusives that have come out already for the PS3--including Killzone 2--have not been enough to convince you to get a PS3, what in the world ever would?
I have both HD consoles and I like them both, but I have to admit I like my PS3 more. The longer I have owned it, the more and more it has won me over. I tell you, you're really missing out as a gamer if you don't own a PS3.
Cheers.
Wow, a 9 from Gamedaily! Those guys are often very harsh on PS3 exclusives. So, that makes it like a 10/10 a guess. ;)
Another super positive review. This game is awesome.
Yeah, as far as my enjoyment of the game goes it doesn't really matter how much it sells. But the fact is, Sony and Guerrilla Games deserve to be well compensated for such an outstanding effort. That way we are also more likely to get more fantastic exclusives from Sony and Guerrilla in the future.
So yeah, it is nice to see Killzone 2 selling so well. Especially considering the game's release is almost a month away and hasn't really had any focused marketing done for it. ...
That is great news. I have been waiting for that forever too. Thanks for finding that out and sharing it with us. Bubbles for you. :)
I don't understand that either. Killzone 2 is at least as original as Gears of War, but most reviewers didn't even mention that fact in their Gears reviews. I am sick of the inconsistency.
Not long ago I couldn't log in with my PS3 browser. Is that fixed now?
Is it finally compatible with the PS3 browser?
If true, that is awesome news. I will have to try logging in later on my PS3.
Those videos had me laughing uncontrollably. So brilliant!
That was so f-n hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. Good job to whoever made those videos.
That is great news. Thanks again for the nice review.
Very nice review. Much appreciated.
So it's that awesome, huh? I can't wait.
I don't really understand your comment, Steven Colbert. COD4 and Halo 3 are both sitting at a 94 on Metacritic, so if Killzone 2 averages higher than Halo 3, wouldn't that mean that it also averages higher than COD4?
Anyway, so far it is higher than both of them (95). I guess we will have to see where it is at when all the dust has settled.
Funny...never heard of a Hardcore Christian before. Is that some kind of new sect? jk
Seriously though, that was a really irrational article that could have been avoided with a little thought and research.
I am a big Tenchu fan (especially the first two on PS1) and I plan to buy the PSP version of Tenchu Shadow Assassins when it comes out, so I hope that it turns out to be a good game.
Gameplayer gave it a 9, so who knows.
Bots are such an awesome feature for a shooter. I am really happy that Killzone 2 has them.
Moving on...that video was very nice. Every time I see a new Killzone 2 video it never fails to impress me.
Technology-wise this game is doing things no other game has ever done before. (Certainly not the combination of features found in this game). This is the first game that I can think of that actually physically models the effects of wind. Cloth and clouds of partic...
The problem with your theory is that nothing else has come out since COD4 and Halo 3 to raise the bar, so why is Killzone 2 held to some higher standard?
The point is, Killzone 2 has features its competitors are lacking, while its competitors also have some features that are missing in KZ2.
Resistance 2 had 60 player multi-player, does that mean that all shooters from here on out must have 60 players or else have their scores knocked down? Killzone 2 has the first full...
