I played a bit of the beta and I completely disagree, the controls are different, but they are very good IMO.
Nonetheless, another highly positive review.
Oh come on, it's painfully obvious that the only reason certain people are lending credence to this so-called "review" is because the comments were almost completely negative.
Any neutral person can see that this guy's comments have no validity at all. They are completely ridiculous and off the wall. Certain people only praise it because it says something bad about a PS3 exclusive that many people are looking forward to.
It almost makes me want to buy a Wii, but there still aren't enough games that appeal to me to warrant a purchase.
Just so you guys know, there is a PSP version in the works and the graphics look very comparable to the Wii version. I will be getting the PSP version. I don't really like most Wii motion controls anyway.
Well, as a Tenchu fan, I am sure that you know that they are making a PSP version of Shadow Assassins. I do agree with you, though, that they should do a PS2 version.
But what I really want is a next-gen Tenchu game for the PS3. I really like Tenchu Z for the 360, but I want to see the PS3 get a full-on Tenchu game with the better features of Tenchu Z, along with more narrative and polish.
I am fluent in Spanish, but I can read Portugues pretty well. Nice review.
I think we all agree that there is no doubt that Killzone 2 deserves nothing but 10s for graphics. I don't understand how other reviewers get away with giving Killzone 2 less than 10 for graphics.
Seriously, what other console games look better? Hell, which PC games, aside from perhaps Crysis, look better than Killzone 2? Yeah, that's what I thought. So how do you get off giving Killzon...
Yep, another PS3 exclusive that is looking great. I definitely have my eye on this one.
It already looks a lot more promising to me than other open-world games like Crackdown.
Uncharted is probably my favorite game this generation. Something about it just grabbed me and has never let go.
The G4TV comments are ignorant. The AI was some of the very best I have ever faced in a game. And the enemies were no more bullet sponges than the enemies you face in Gears of War. As for the twist, I personally really liked it.
In my opinion, Uncharted is still one of the most under-appreciated games of the past few years. I mean, it scored well an...
I, too, prefer the PS3's controller (DS3) over the Xbox 360 controller. The buttons are more responsive and the feel and precision of the analogue sticks is much better.
I have no hate for Insomniac. They are one of my favorite developers.
3 quality games in just two years...who could possibly complain about that. I can't wait for their next game.
I don't know why many people are being so negative about this game. I agree that the controls could have benefited by using more modern conventions, but overall the gameplay is still fun and I am sure the plot will be engaging.
To be honest I would have been happy if Naughty Dog kept the same gameplay ingredients and characters from the first game and just placed it all in a new setting--the first game was that good.
However, the fact that ND seem to be improving the game in almost every area just blows my mind. I can hardly contain my excitement for this game. Next to Killzone 2, this is easily my most-anticipated game.
Well, I prefer my PS3 over my Xbox 360 by quite a lot, but unless you really need the money I would keep the 360 around for that odd exclusive that can't be played on the PC. Rare, I know, but still...
I agree. The detail and lighting are amazing.
The first one was already one of the best looking games on any system, and the sequel looks quite a bit better. I am impressed. Naughty Dog is one of the most talented group of developers out there.
Uncharted 2 will undoubtedly be one of the very best looking games available on any console. More importantly though, I expect Uncharted 2 to ramp up the witty humor, expert pacing and exiting gameplay found in the first...
I love Uncharted. When I played the first one, it quickly became one of my favorite games of all time.
It is still the best-looking game currently available (Killzone 2 isn't out yet ya know ;), but wow, Uncharted 2 looks even better.
Wow! I love owning a PS3. The best games, hands down.
I disagree. Mass Effect was technically flawed (slowdown, screen tearing, texture pop-in, etc.), but it was a great game. One of the best on the Xbox 360, in my opinion. PS3 gamers should be happy to get the franchise on their console.
Personally, I thought this was a very well-written review. One of the best, in fact.
Graphics aren't that impressive, but I will give the demo a try and see how it plays.
The bolt gun, lightning gun, and their version of the flamethrower are all pretty damn unique in my opinion.
The "feel" of some of the more standard weapons is exceptional as well and really makes those weapons feel fresh.
Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 have very different styles, but they are both graphical giants.
More importantly though, those awesome visuals are backed up by high-quality gameplay (Killzone 2 and Uncharted 1, at least). I can't wait for Uncharted 2.
