Careful mate - your comment came dangerously close to being rational and with little bias - both things that are no longer appreciated by the majority on here.

As for the attach rates, it would be suprising indeed if a system thats been on the market longer didn't have more game sales per unit, certainly in the earlier years of a machines life.
If I bought games at the same rate for my 360 and my PS3, I'd have twice as many titles on the 360 because I've had it twice as ...

Reasonable selection of tracks I guess!
But I think I'll stick with singstar.

When your drunk and daft enough to sing your heart out to a TV screen, you want the real song with the real video - I'm not interested in 'digital performers' lip syncing to the tracks, and I suspect most people into this type of game won't be either.

The feature thats been hyped and not thought abou.t is plugging your own songs in. When you realise that the lyrics won't appear a...

Yes mate, I'm the same with my music - if I downlaod MP3's and enjoy the music, I always buy the CD. I'm a quality whore anyway, so I would always want the full original recording, but I also want to support the bands.

I try and do the same with my games too. I won't pretend I haven't grabbed a game, been dissapointed with it, and not bought the release, because it has happened. But I've always bought a copy of game I've played a lot. I've finished games on a burnt disc and sti...

@morganfell

Actually I don't bother with torrents.
You can get all these releases with direct download links from sites like rapidshare and megashares. 2.5 hours to download (if you have a premium account), 40 minutes to burn. The advantage is that you download at full bandwidth speeds, and don't upload or share with anyone at all, so your not spreading it.

I'm not saying any of this is a good thing, or encouraging anyone else to do it, but pretending tha...

Its actually remarkably easy to hack a 360 for many. I hacked my DVD firmware to create and play my own custom guitar hero songs, but the availablillity of such sought after titles so early, is a temptation too hard to resist.
Its like taking a peek at your christmas presents too early when you are a kid. You know you shouldn't, but the temptation is overwhelming.

I may be 45 hours into Fallout 3, but I WILL buy a copy when I can get a retail version. I'd bet 99.9% of pe...

Well the link points nowhere and all previews seem to indicate that the platforms are near identical, so I'm doubting this story.

If anything I'll expect the PS3 to suffer less from pop ups if you have a decent HD install. I've put more than 40 hours into the 360 version and love it - but it does have pop up issues due to the speed of texture loading. They don't spoil a great game though...and I'd be very suprised if the game wasn't just as good when I get to see a PS3 version....

so that means that for about 9 months in a row until last month the PS3 dominated the 360 in sales?

Rubbish! Domination is where you sell twice as many or more, these figures are almost the same and to call it a domination is to have no idea of what the word means at all - its your post that is ridiculous.

1>0 so I guess that means a football game with that score shows the winning team dominated the other.
Yeah - right....

At what point is this a reversal?

You have to be completely ignorant or intellectually challenged to think so.

The original article blamed a culture of sitting on your but and never going out for many of the undoubted problems with teenagers.

His recent brief simply states how cool it is to see a the festival coming back, and that it means London dev houses are doing well.

Both can be equally true, and the views are not mutually excl...

I can only agree with you.

I think sony's biggest problem with Home was not managing peoples expectations of it. Some still think its a game. Others think its a PSN replacement.
If you see it simply as a metting place to catch up with some friends or recruit new ones to play some cool games, you're getting the picture.

Tjhe author of the article plainly does not know what he's talking baout, and its simply another retarded net article written by someone w...

It's just a fake. Again.

Whenever theres an anticipated title like this, theres often a few fake releases before the real release comes. There's not a genuine release of GOW2 yet.

Saints Row 2 was two weeks ago, Fall Out 3 was a few days ago, and Far Cry 2 was this morning. But a genuine GOW2 is not there yet. But it will be.

Piracy is an issue with nearly all machines (except for PS3), but fortunately its difficult enougfh to do that the majority ...

Yawn.... only xbox kings would have the bare faced cheek to call 6,690 vs 5,899 a 'domination'.

But then, you don't expect reasoned journalism from that site.

I would have though both companies would not be happy with the figures. 360 figures look to be dying back towards the level they used to be at, and Sony can only hope that people ar indeed wating for the new pack to release. Meantime Nintendo makes off with all the loot - as usual!

Yawn! This story seems like it should be a year old...

I've no problem with whatever platform this great game chose to make an appearenece on, but I would bet everything I own that this title will not be 360. It will take more than an unsourced 'PR quote' derived from an Japanese investment firms site to make me thing that konomi's stance has changed on this.....

Well each to their own of course.

I too have owned all the machines since release (all the portables too for that matter).

Last year I played more 360 games, as it undisputedly had its best year of quality games.

This year I'm playing more PS3 titles than 360, and I've far preferred that machines exclusives. I also prefer the controller and I find it a superiorr media hub with functionality I use. The browser is used in my house, and I find the fun...

Well - its been out on the pirate scene for ages so lots of people can attest to it themselves - I've done just over 25% of the game (according to statistics). I can never resist the urge to play an anticipated release game before launch - though I shall buy a copy as its well worth the purchase.

Technically, GTA4 leaves it for dead. It looks worse, has no cover system or target system, and the cars handle very simply and look a bit naff.

BUT.... if you can laugh...

People hated the trick MS pulled when they dropped the Xbox the moment they had a new machine to sell. Compare that to the fantatsic support the PS2 still receives.
Hardware issues are also a serious turn off for the consumer, and both these issues will ahve a huge effect for more casual consumers, though I understand its hard for core gamers that hang around on forums like these to understand that!

But MS are working hard to overturn that, and good luck to 'em! Certainl...

"@lol yet the Wii and the DS are outselling everything Sony makes in Japan. Nice ..."

Actually year to date figures show the psp as the top selling item in Japan this year... to date. I fully expect that to change when the DSi comes out, but at the moment, psp is Japans top dog..

Well I guess that a matter of opinion - I'm very excited by those games too!
But at least it looks like theres a really good Wii shooter to keep fans happy, as this looks very fluid and cool on the Wii and most importnatly, the game looks like it will be fun to play.

Leaving the 'tech' aside, it just looks like a well sorted game, and even the sound is excellent. A definate title to be added to my wish list... :)

Another cool looking new title for the Wii!

I bet this will go down well in the home market! :)

What an excellent idea!

I used to try and keep all my own gaming systems and memorabilia, but theres just too much for any single person to keep. Now I just try and keep as much as I can preserved as roms on my PC. The real machines though, and the real carts, are great to have and I'll make a trip to support this once its up and running!

I loved this title on the PSP, so I'm sure to pick it up if its the PSN too!

I wander if they'll take to time to upgrade the resolution too - some 1080P visuals would be very appealing! :)
