If it weren't for the fact I like many games on the 360, I would having nothing to do with them. In every way its poissible for me to despise a company I despise them, their marketing methods and their buisness ethics. There has never been any other company thats been found guilty so many times of anti-competitive practices - and this is everywhere in the world.

I despise these avatars with a passion. I do not want my online representation to be via one of these gay stupid things, and forcing me to do so is something I have every right to complain about.
People like Omega are quite happy to bend over and let MS do anything they want, but the rest of us are not sad little puppets and have every right to express our views without some muppet telling us we must comply!
As an owner of all the machines and someone old enough to not bother with the kiddie wars so much of the n4g membership revel in, I feel quite able to judge how the year has been from my own experiences with the machines and the games I've most enjoyed playing.
There have been some great games on 360 and it was definately the pick of the bunch last year. But this year, the exclusives were a let down for me until GOW2 came. Still more than enough multiplat great games to make it...
Well it has to be said that sales of this title have hardly been spectacular. Big companies may well have over-ordered stock and will use such incentives to try and reduce their inventory.
It's a shame, but I'm afraid I was one of the people a bit dissapointed with how this title turned out. It looks much nicer than I'd feared from early showings, but the gameplay simply hasn't captivated me enough to return to it. There so many other great ttiles out there that this simply did...
Having played many of these titles, these seeem like pretty realistic scores.
It's rather ironic, that despite the nintendoware being of little interest to real gamers (as reflected in the poor scores), it will go to sell tons more than the high rated games anyway! :)
As real gamers have always said, sales are no reflection of the qulaitty of a title. If they were, then Mariah Carrey and Take That would be the greatest recording artists, and thats plainly a nonsense! :)...
Games are 100% region free on the PS3
Movies are not, because Hollywood wanted regional control - which was daft as there were some region free titles on HD DVD, but since when has the film industry ever acted with intelligence? :)
Because you are suggesting that a new premium HD format should be compared with an established old format with hundreds of millions of owners.

Wrong - all the early games were released. But obviously they are big files and the cracking groups soon realised there was no point in releasing any more until the system was hacked. Since no one has got an iso running, no one is producing any scene releases.
Blu ray burners and resonable cheap media have been available for ages, as have iso rips of PS3 games. They were available when the system launched in the US almost 3 years ago.

Ignoring the Nintedomination for a moment, the non- ninty stuff is all the multiplat releases, and anyone with half a brain would see that.
With 360 still having a larger install base in the UK, it would be shocking for a PS3 exclusive to break into the top of the all format charts near christmas and anyone expecting different needs their head examined. You can't see any 360 exclusives their either right?

I tried really hard to like it, but it just didn't do anything for me.
No doubt some people will welcome a sequal, but I don't believe it would be a huge game.
Looks great. I'm loving the PSN games I've been getting, and in many cases have played them for longer than the full disc games!
I guess its all opinion, but I FAR prfer the titles I get from PSN over what I get on the 360 and Wii.
I run emulators on my PC and play all the old classics there when I want retro gaming. But for new and interesting titles, the PS3 has tons that I've really enjoyed - and a majority are in full 1080P NATIVE output too (something you don't get anywhere else).

The statement is 'PAL territories' which obviously includes the UK.
He's also quite specific that he's talking installed base and not shipped product as MS so often talk about.
Beleive who you like, the fact is they are neck and neck for installed base, yet the 360 has been available in the territory for 3 years, the PS3 just 18 months.

I have to disagree that its a good thing though. If you are a financial analyst, you would concede that it controls costs. But as a gamer, I'm much more interested in seeing inventive exclusives on the platform, and this method of working does not help to produce this.
As a counter example for how wasteful their approach is to trying to secure decent content, just look at the DLC ...
A lot of people who hadn't bought into a HD gaming system have snapped up the cheap 360's.

I can't believe they managed to do the whole review and only compare it with Rock Band. The game is an obvious complete lift of the enourmously sucesfull singstar series, and if you want to compare it with anything, thats the only title to compare it with.
As I thought it might be, the ability to sing your own songs loses most of its value when you realise theres no lyrics or any pitch data - you are essentially simply singing over the top of your song, something we can all do ...

NXE is great, I love most of the new fuctionality and visually its a vast improvement over the blades, but the avatars are just embaressing and make me wince. Please god give us an option to ban them from our machines....
