It's not that I love MS... It's that I like Sony less.

Gordon Knight, you're right on target with their support. The only thing Sony has historically supported well is the Playstation itself. Everything else starts with a dream of being the next big thing but fizzles out after a few short years.

If VR is the only way to play a PS5, you can say goodbye to lots of gamers who don't want to wear a headset every time they play a game or can't play VR games due to motion sickness. Heck, I can't even wear a nice aud...

Yeah, you're right Kleptic, my bad. Thanks for pointing that out.

I definitely believe that the quality of Infiltrator, minus some of the resolution and AA of the demo, will end up being managed by consoles by the end of the generation though.

That's a pretty impressive AT-AT considering it was made out of other stuff. It's no wonder it took about 500 pieces.

Just think, we're only getting into a second generation of PS4 and XB1 games too. Gears 1 was technically a second gen 360 game, having come out a year after Halo 3. Look how much better Uncharted 3 looked than 1 did. Gears 3 over Gears 1.

Games like Horizon, Quantum Break, Uncharted 4, and Gears 4 are going to look bad compared to games coming out 2 to 3 years from now when devs know how to really use the hardware well. I think Infiltrator level graphics will be pret...

Digital Raptor, I know you want to make it seem like analysts aren't qualified to make statements about a companies' status, but it's what they went to school for. Not every analyst is like Pachter, and they all agreed Sony as a company was in the hurt locker. Losing 80% of your wealth, selling off many divisions within the company, and having your stocks devaluated to junk is not simplified at all. It is undeniable fact that the PS brand was the only reason Sony survived the de...

Game Informer issue 273 talked about everything I just mentioned in great detail , not only about PSVR, but of some of the PC VR tech as well. The only thing I see here is that the truth hurts some people quite a bit. VR is more of a gimmick than I'd realized until I read the latest issue of Game Informer. I'll LMAO when all of the support drops off the face of the Earth like it has for every other peripheral known to man because it is the most expensive add on ever created.

Man, I almost cried I laughed so hard! That part where you said "no competition" was priceless!!!

Not to mention the fact that all the VR tech demos are gimmicky, when you have the headset and headphones on you can't even see to pick up your controller(or drink, or tell where real objects are to avoid them), and that Sony has a history of not continuing to support anything but their home console. They somewhat supported the PSP, all but abandoned the Vita, and couldn't manage to get Wii games ported to a peripheral that literally copied the Wii remotes. Sony will shelve this in 2 ...

They're both working on the same 9th gen console so they'll both win! Oh, wait, I forgot Pachter already predicted there wouldn't be a 9th gen console so nevermind. /s

Halo 5 supports 1024 objects. If you use lots of tiny peices to replicate something like this you'll run out more quickly but it's possible to make large scale maps too. Far Cry 4 allows you to put lots more down than this does though, and I've always been a bit disappointed by Forge in comparison. I hope that Ubi is working on a new 8th gen engine for Far Cry 5(not Primal) so we can really see what next gen editing can be like.

Dante, the only one ignorant here is you because you can look any of this stuff up at any number of reputable sites on the net, which you didn't do. Hell, a quick trip to Wiki will show you what WDDM 2.0 does. A recent interview with one of the devs claiming DX12 will help mentioned that certain features of DX12, while enabled in DX11.x, didn't work as well as they would on DX12. The aces in the XB1 run 16 threads each instead of just 8. The lead architect of the XB1 told us that ...

Dabigsie, all we know right now is that the PS4 is far superior at running traditional graphics engines. Let's see what Deus Ex, the first multiplat game using DX12, looks like in a comparison before passing final judgement. Let's see what Gears 4 looks like as well. For reference there are several features of DX12, which were already introduced into DX11, that need the WDDM 2.0 kernel to run efficiently, and a few more that wouldn't run at all without it.

Wealthy doesn't mean healthy. Nintendo had to give up on traditional gaming to stay in the console business. They also relied on constant rehashing of portable consoles just to recoup the losses from systems like N64 and Gamecube. Now even the portable market is drying up, leaving them to (hypothetically) create an all in one home console/portable to attempt to have meaningful hardware again.

Now Konami is reliant on other parts of their business for success, like pachin...

Bahamut, the man is anything but stupid. Even if he never becomes president his crazy antics have forced politicians to come out and talk about things in a way they were afraid to before Trump opened his big mouth. I think he is just spending money to run so he can force these conversations about hot button topics.

Want to know what's really crazy though? The other choice we have for president is Hillary, a pathological liar. So we will have an asshole who says whateve...

Ubisoft forced the production of FarCry Primal to make a quick buck.
It's essentially Shangri La from FarCry 4 with a few tweaks.
It buys some time for FarCry 5 to be built from the ground up on a new engine made for gen 8 consoles.

F2P games are almost always like this, and you can play this without the gold paks if you want to because you earn gold as you play. Fable Legends is actually a lot of fun.

I do want to see an open world RPG set around the first Fable though, so there's no guns. True open world, like Elder Scrols instead of outdoor corridors is a must. I have a feeling that Fable Legends will be a way to get feedback about gameplay for a true Fable game, but that's just my guess.
