It's not that I love MS... It's that I like Sony less.
CRank: 5Score: 80470

Everyone knows I was just being silly, but I just remembered that Sony did make a one-handed controller for the PS1 for playing RPGs. I believe it was only released in Japan.

Actually, it was. See post 6.1.

It was actually the best gimmick ever, selling 8 million units in 60 days. Much like AR though, both Kinect sensors seem better suited to an environment that isn't gaming related.

Nice, I see what you did there!

Ironically, it actually was Rare. Deep into the article, Rare says it was their decision to go all in on the Kinect software and that MS gave them creative freedom to do other things if they wanted. This notion goes against the idea some people have that MS forces all their devs to only make one IP.

When the original Xbox was selling at $129.99 the Wii was selling at $199.99. Xbox was roughly as powerful as a Wii, had a built in HDD, and could play DVD's too. Of course Nintendo made money. That was their main concern.

The reason it was a huge mistake, in spite of being a cash cow, it that it left 3rd party publishers out in the cold with very few successful franchises and a lot of gimmicky knockoffs of Nintendo's own software. Ultimately, the Wii had less 3rd ...

Remember when MS let Bungie go they did it under conditions that MS got to see any game Bungie wants to make before any other company? I think they called it the right to first refusal.

Anyways, I think it should be clear by now why MS thought supporting this game as a 1st party release was a bad idea. It is also too similar to Halo, being another shooter like it is.

Never4get, that's very interesting. With MS supporting XDMA in the XB1 Pix tools, it seems that both companies may have intentions to upgrade their machines at some point. I remember MS saying they expect XB1 to last 10 years, so it seems that crossfire would be the only logical way for either company to achieve that goal.

Black Tar, when somebody steals something it means that they take it from someone else who had it first, so of course they both had these features. The question was about who copied who, which I answered. MS invented all of those concepts, and please don't confuse game chat with party chat(where you could talk to someone playing something else).

Why do you have to make fun of people for stating the truth anyways? Are you really that immature?

@4.1.1

Okay, I get it, but I thought you were being a bit harsh so I was playing Devil's Advocate. MS is in a much better position to make an impact next year though because the IP's are coming, the OS is ready, and BC is getting updates every month. All of these things, in 2015, didn't happen until the last quarter which is why I call them seeds. They are meaningless now because their impact won't be realized until next year.

3 axis? I didn't know Sony made one-handed controllers!

Le Cruset, I just want to point out that no one seems to be in here talking about how this is an outrage, and Kojima is stupid for taking money from Sony when he could sell even more copies if it were on XB1 also, or that they'll boycot Kojima because that's what he deserves when he messes with Xbox fans, etc.

That's what I hear in every Tomb Raider article, and it's not even an exclusive, so how are you under the belief that there's no bias here? By bubb...

I can agree with that but I assumed I was in the minority. I don't want the upgrade because I'm afraid my audio samples won't all work anymore, and I mess with Reason, FL Studio Pro, and Pro Tools an awful lot. Besides, I don't game on PC at all or plan on using any of the XB1 features offered by way of Win 10.

Sell it to Wii U owners today, then re-sell it to them all a year later when they upgrade to the NX. Sheer Genius!

I'm sure I'm still missing a lot, but it's not something I'm losing sleep over. You don't need more to prove a point anyways.

Why would you need windows 7 or 8 anyways? Upgrade to 10 for free!

See comments 3.2.1 and 3.2.2. There should be a "can't accept the truth" button.

Exactly, Picnic.

And MS always had the ability to play used games without a fee too. MS left the option on the table for publishers to charge one if they chose to. Also, if you put your game into another XB1 it would play like normal on the second console as long as the disc was in that machine. If you tried to access the game without the disc, it would give you the option to either put the disc back in or purchase the digital version to continue playing.

To add to what DLC Conspiracy said, governments all have figure heads like President Obama. They also have groups like the House and Senate that help define things within the organization. It is the President, however, that soaks up most of the spotlight when speaking in public on behalf of said organization.
