As a collector, I can't even hook up analog systems to my TV anymore without an adapter. Having one system that can play all of that manufacturers games makes sense. PC has been doing this forever, PS used to, and it matters to enough people now that it is still a relevant feature.
I don't watch TV through my XB1, but I'm happy that the feature is there because some people enjoy being connected to their friends while doing other things. Options are always good ...
For $14.99, I should get real trophies, lol. What will you be saying when original XBOX games become BC, have achievements, and are still a free service?
I agree 100%, but I'm not sure how this comment fits into the article. I could list a dozen or two reasons off the top of my head how Sony has disgusted me with their business practices over the years. MS had plenty of bad practices too, but from my perspective just not as bad as Sony.
I refrain, however, from adding fuel to the fire with my reasons simply because that's not what the topic is about. We each have our own opinions. They should be respected or refute...
It's conclusion.
Agreed. The XB1 version is beautiful, but people here would rather make fun of the console version for not looking as good as a PC with a GPU 4-5 times more powerful. TBH, they're damned close considering the power differences.
Dance Magic, Dance. He will be missed. This is ground control to Major Tom, signing off...
CD1, all I've done is state the facts, so if it sounds like I want it to fail, I guess it must be a failure already. The difference between you and I is perspective. I don't have faith in Sony's ability to produce software consistently, nor do I have faith that VR in general will be anything but the next gimmick like Wii Remotes, Kinect sensors, 3d TV's, Light guns, etc. Oculus has a better chance of success than Sony only because their hardware will improve over time.
Come on, don't you miss blowing into cartridges just a little bit?
Them falling off "in the first place" was due to the N64 using cartridges. It has nothing to do with a couple of years ago.
Way to stay on topic.
Wallstreet brought up DC, not me. I pointed out many reasons why his statement was inaccurate, like 4k/60fps support and better physics which all take up processing power that PS4 doesn't have. How about you guys stick to the topic instead of continuing to deflect the real issues?
Edit: When did Sony announce the price of PSVR? OR includes an XB1 controller and adapter too, which is why it will likely be more expensive. Why should you need anything else at all when you...
Yeah, Wallstreet, $350 to $450 without a headset that costs another $80 to $100. How can anyone sell the idea of VR without audio immersion included? PSVR still can't improve like Oculus Rift is capable of because the hardware is fixed. So as of right now they're comparable at best, but they won't be in a few short years.
OT: Drive Club? Not this bs again. A game that is only made for visuals, that can't even match P Cars on PC visually, let alone run in 4k,...
Yeah, PSVR's field is full of brown grass! Low power GPU, reprojection, inability to upgrade visual quality and performance, lack of a headset for audio, doesn't work on multiple devices...
Paintings and Item Frames are messed up since the most recent update. The larger paintings, 2x4 and up, don't fit on block patterns of the same dimensions anymore. Now some of my houses don't have their proper paintings anymore even though they should fit, and amongst other things my Art Gallery is fubar as well. Item frames don't show Maps correctly either, so my 5x5 map of the world doesn't display the right maps and they flicker.
...and there you go, better framerate and improved AA. Thanks, MS!
Sorry, Bad Boy, but your analogy doesn't exactly work that way. To continue using your analogy, we're not giving the homeless guy a massive amount of money if we give him a dollar. But what is a massive amount of money? If I were Bill Gates, I could give the guy 10 million dollars and it wouldn't be a massive amount of my net worth. If I made 40,000 dollars a year and had to support a wife and two kids with my income, 100 dollars might be considered a massive amount of money. ...
Like the people who tell me the weather?
There's a certain measure of irony in your choice of words.
Not saying I know what's going on at MS, but sometimes a feature can interfere wtih the operation of other things. It may have been removed in order to make the Win10 update more stable at launch, with the intention of working out the bugs and putting it back in later.
DX12 and the PIX tool update are supposed to make the process much easier/faster on the XB1, but I would tend to agree up to this point.
