Great, now the game has slowdown and a speech impediment.
Lots of cool stuff coming, but I think that the avatars need to be updated to save multiple outfits and need to be more easily visible like they are on 360. Also, gamerpics from 360 need to transfer over so I can browse my whole catalog of them from the XB1 and need to have an option to always fill the whole gamerpic circle instead fo looking like a postage stamp at certain times.
I'll answer that, Edmix. If the game was produced from start to finish and released on the disc, we would be assured to get the entire game the developers intend to produce. If installments don't sell as well as expected, we may not get all of the planned episodes because it's not profitable enough to continue making new episodes. Ultimately, if the latter holds true we will not get the full experience, ergo a less legitimate title.
Why won't it improve Princess Peach or Mario as well? ;P
$$$
Transporter, the PS2 scratched discs all the time, so did the PS1. The difference is that the disc drives in older systems didn't spin as fast and didn't make as pronounced a scratch when people acted like fools and moved their consoles while they were playing.
You guys are right about PvZ2, that was my bad for thinking it was the first one coming to PS4. I was a bit out of it due to lack of sleep, but whatever.
I still stand by my DICE comment though. They may have handed off development to someone else, but they were using Frostbite and it is still their franchise. As for DX12, devs are already using it to update their engines. DICE is using it on the Frostbite engine, Unreal engine is using it, Deus Ex is using it on console...
A preorder that's available before the game releases? Why didn't I think of that!
Game, do you really believe what you're saying? If so, I really feel bad for you. PvZ2 is coming out way later on PS4, and it looks proportionately better than usual because the devs have had an extra year with the hardware. ROTR will be the same case when it arrives on PS4. Look at the difference between DICE's BF:Hardline and Battlefront games... that's what a year can do for the same dev on the same console.
Tell me though, since you can't leave your igno...
We're one step closer to AR-LARPing now that Hololens is self-powered! I want to see a bunch of people running around in a park fighting with nothing but headhear on just for the WTF factor from all of the other onlookers. Pure gold!
Not only that, but you could be shown constellations while stargazing, points of interest while touring the world, get the history of objects in a museum, etc.
Honestly MasterC, I don't know what they meant when they said it, but that's why I was a bit disappointed by the article after reading the title.
Okay, I've got this analogy.
The dog is Ubisoft, the poop it's business model, and the ground is the consumers it walks all over.
Considering your Avatar, I found it rather ironic that you'd fling a comment like that at everybody! I like your style.
Yeah, I thought he was going to talk to the strengths of each console, and give explanation of how they would benefit from the Nitrous engine. All he really said is that the engine can effectively hide the difference in power between the two.
If you can clear your mind of all your thoughts, you will surely find the answers that you seek.
I thought that's where the PS4 fanboys gathered. ;p
Well said! MS is still selling more XB1's than its previous consoles, is working on more new and exclusive IP than ever before, and is still improving the console nearly every month.
Donthate is right about the cost of manufacture, but I think (I hate to say this) Pachter is right on the consumer pricing strategy. It just makes sense to get more adopters in early in order to continue to get developer support for the device.
The reason I think it's around $500 to manufacture is because the headset itself is quite comparable to Oculus. For example, a lower resolution screen with better pixel technology will be of similar cost. Also, the external proce...
Edmix, what happens if the initial release or the subsequent content doesn't sell as well as expected? They probably won't finish it, or will shorten the story itself, but in some ways it will adversely affect the quality of the release as a whole. If I/O makes the whole game first, then the game would end up being what the developers intend, rather than what the publisher feels is best for the business. It sucks that they're doing this to my favorite SE franchise, but to be a b...
The tech doesn't need a wide FOV or more than 5.5 hours of battery life to be useful enough for businesses to use them. For situations revolving around more of an entertainment niche, it needs the FOV though. I believe the tech will work well for its intended application, but will also be improved over time to broaden its use for more social and entertainment type functions as they iterate the product.
MS already said it's not really a gaming device, and now we can s...
