It's not that I love MS... It's that I like Sony less.

I can't seem to find where I read about it as is was several months ago, but I remember hearing that Playground was taking a break from Forza Horizon development to make something different. Forza Rallisport, perhaps?

I love Forza Horizon 2 to death, so I'm eagerly waiting for their announcement none-the-less.

You should play as Justin Bieber so when you climb to the top of the pyramids you can moon everybody. Oh wait, those were Mayan pyramids... nevermind.

What? Hitman has always had a good story. Even the backstories on your targets makes them seem like real people with actual lives.

With that said, SE screwed the pooch with my favorite stealth franchise and I won't be buying it until it is finished and released as a complete game on a disc.

SE = Screw Everybody

Conservative Rasterization is something that Feature Level 12.1 offers, so you'd have to have a Nvidia card in order to get this support on the PC. ATI only supports Feature Level 12.0 in their PC cards.

I'm curious if there will be a DX12 update to the XB1 version at some point though. The article is not clear as to Avalanche's intentions with porting these features over.

Rain, I have one point of contention with your post. Unified shader hardware was developed by ATI during the development of the 360, so even the PS3 didn't support the feature. The PS3 still had separate pixel and vertex shader pipelines because they went with Nvidia for their GPUs and at that time their use had not been standardized. PC cards with unified shader hardware did not debut until 2007 with the ATI Radeon HD2000 and Nvidia GeForce 8 line of cards.

Donthate, I agree that some of the features listed by BadBoy and I are grasping at straws because they had minimal impact.

Also, as an example, even though Dreamcast poineered online, MS was the company to make it work. Even though Sony had an expansion bay for an HDD, MS made it a standard. Even though people would like to believe that Sony poineered VR, it was Nintendo with the Virtual Boy home console that did, and we still don't know if VR will be successful.

Obamacare, you are a wicked, wicked man. I thought glassing a planet was bad, but torturing everyone with a woefully inadequate health care system is just diabolical.

MS probably has some really good 3rd party studio relationships building right now to make more 1st party exclusive IP's(that they will own) like Recore. I still think that there's a game based off of the Samaritan/Infiltrator demos from Epic that we haven't seen yet, and it would be killer to see MS announce it as an exclusive.

I want Mech Warrior built with Cloudgine, and an open world ShadowRun more than anything they could reboot.

I don't even have spellcheck on XB1, where I post from when I'm here at N4G, so I have to rely on memory. Proof reading and knowing how to spell everything is a pain in the butt.

Halo 5 is right there with it, gameplay wise, all the dlc is free, and people can create and share content as well. Destiny has little story and forces people to buy the DLC or have their game crippled.

While it should have been there from day One, I'm glad to see that they have announced a time frame for when it's coming. I'm hopeful that with the time they're taking on this, that it'll be done right though. It needs all the options available for music to be run in the background, like internet radio, cable radio/tv through HDMI, streaming from PC, and MP3 playback via media player or ripped to the internal HDD.

Why does this article call the maps blank canvas maps, when there's no way to start building on a map that has no objects already in it? Trying to erase all of the objects is a time consuming pain in the butt, and sometimes even with the teleport trick to get outside of the map it is still impossible to remove everything.

Does anyone know a better way to start with 0 objects on a map?

They each look better in some ways. The cars, nighttime driving, and the rain looked better to me in Forza, but foliage, some environmental detail, and people look better in GTA V. Remember, in GTA V the environment is explored on foot as well, not just at 100+ MPH.

The video itself is amazing nonetheless!

I disagree Rain. Sony should be criticized for not allowing PS3 digital purchases of PS2 games to transfer over, for not allowing owners of physical copies to play them, and for only having one option... to pay for each game again just to play the ones you already own.

Also, MS has already stated that they are looking into ways of getting achievements working for XBOX games as they research the BC option and I'm sure they know about Sony's patents. Let's say for ...

Except George Lucas didn't make 3D TV's successful, made Episodes 1-3 horrible, and doesn't like The Force Awakens. Not exactly a reliable guy, especially over the sales data that says otherwise.

Sony will not support VR in the long run, when the consumers show there isn't enough money to be made in it, just like they did with everything else, lol.

Death, Rift is only a head mounted display on XB1... for now. I predict an external processor either through Irides and the cloud, or similar to the PSVR external processor, will be announced sometime this year. The rest of your predictions about the tech are pretty accurate IMO.
