DX12 will not magically make any engine better, which is why new engines are required in many cases to see much of a benefit. Some engines are robust enough to incorporate DX12, like Unreal and Frostbite.
This game is looking really interesting. The quiet, lonely feeling comes through quite well, and the story pieces add a nice touch of mystery to enhance the exploration aspects of the game.
Side note: Rousey cried on national TV about her loss to Holm and talked about killing herself after it happened. I wonder what she'll do when Holm does it to her again?
Lulz Boat brought it up to me in the last article about this, and posted a picture, so I thought I'd reiterate it for everyone here: This domain is in the manual for Half Life 2... on the original Xbox. Unfortunately, I don't think it means anything special is going on between Valve and MS in the long run.
Lol, there's no division in The Division. I love irony.
Here's a reason it might feel hollow: It's not finished yet. \ö/
What you do get besides an unfinished game is a discounted price, early access, and creative input on what improvements can be made.
Exactly, DC. Win 10 is an ecosystem where coding for multiple platforms is drastically reduced which means porting from PC to XB1, or vice versa, is much easier. Obviously there is some work involved, but it is reduced to weeks instead of months in part because of the reasons you mentioned. The ease of porting code has been talked about by MS on several occasions already.
Holy crap! That domain is really that old??? Really good find, Lulz. It's too bad you have to be so rude about it though. Since it is a rumor after all, and as such warrants hypothesis, you could at least try to be nice while trying to educate people.
Yeah, you're right Aceitman. I forgot which was which, but I appreciate the correction. Thanks! That said, I am still curious what this might mean for getting Steam games on the XB1.
So it's Just Cause meets Project Gotham Racing, Where you earn points for style while blowing stuff up!
So Valve is working with MS on the Oculus Rift side of things and possibly working with them on Steam now as well? Since the Steambox is not exactly a wild success, perhaps supporting the Win 10 ecosystem might be a better fit for their long term goals. I'm curious how far down the rabbit-hole this one goes.
Paradise ruined crash mode though. I liked solving the puzzles associated with the speed, mass, and timing of your initial impact to gain maximum value in the crash zone. In Paradise, you just blew your car up like a mexican jumping bean over and over while listening to loud explosions, breaking glass, and squealing tires.
I did hear that Criterion is planning a game that involves crashing though, so a spiritual successor to Burnout is likely.
I'm not entirely sure, but I believe that all of the animations and effects would have to be programmed to run at the lower framerate or there would be a lot of issues. I just know that it's not that simple or it would have been done already.
You're just splitting hairs. Halo 5 is a great game regardless.
And then add in a few hundred hours making maps in Snap Map. I've already spent about 400 hours in Halo 5 Forge, and easily over 2000 hours across the Far Cry franchise. Yeah, I'm an addict. Funny thing is I'm a silent cartographer, because I seldom play online. I just like to build stuff.
Definitely looking forward to this one!
So, Destiny's destiny is uncertain? Interesting...
You will get it on both if you buy it digitally!
Only games I know to be DX12 on XB1 are Fable Legends and Deux Ex. I'm assuming that most of the titles we haven't seen yet are going to use it, like Recore and unannounced stuff. I also know that Unreal, Frostbite, and a few other engines are adding in DX12 support though, so 3rd parties will be on board soon too. QB is amazing regardless of whether or not it is using DX12, but it's even more impressive to consider that it is not. Definitely going to be a great game to add to m...
I guess it's a good thing that the Move Engines support lossless compression and decompression to overcome bandwidth issues. Now if only there was some way of reducing apparent latency by 90%. Something like Irides predictive VR software...
Destiny hasn't become too expensive, it always was. If anything, it's become a better value as newer versions of it offer more of the content for less.
