Understood that this is a sight to behold on PS5, but also on my 4090 and 5800X3D at 4K120 DLSS Quality and VRR, it is just next level stuff. Some stuttering here and there, but it goes away soon. Hopefully they will patch it in as well. The HDR implementation on PC is also incredible!
Bought & received yesterday a PS5 for the digital collection on PS4 I had accumulated. Was excited to see how the exclusives are priced on this double discount promotion, and to my shock after spending 2 years mostly on PC, noticed that the PS5 game prices are astronomical, including Japan, Hong Kong, Euro zone and US stores. On the market for Ratched and Clank and Demon's Souls, though. Maybe I can't wait for the PC versions! Love the PS5 as a system though, it just works vs. PC....
Never played the Prime 2 and 3, but did the original which was absolutely fantastic. It was like Super Mario 64 level experience for me in terms of design. I wish they would at least do some serious touch ups on the Prime 2 and 3, I mean they need stuff like widescreen and upscaling etc.

Can confirm this, still plenty of problems with the game. We are on 4090 + 5800X3D and using 4K120hz including frame generation. The FPS can drop to mid 70s (causing FG show erroneous frames) and increase to 120fps in an instant, depending on the area. This game has not been fully optimized yet, but it can be played quite enjoyably if you are not a pixed peeping FPS hog. As I have become the latter, I'll be playing it personally later once it's patched, but wife doesn't mind going...
I would say it is worth it if you can turn on RT Reflections at the very least and run it 55 or more fps on your target resolution. The RT Reflections make the quite flat graphics go away and add plenty of atmosphere to the game via graphics. It's an OK game, but not Witcher quality. They have added a lot of stuff to it, though. I would say, honestly, that better wait till the Expansion pack hits.
I do agree with you on the Supply Chain woes and production being lower than anticipated in the first two years, however, companies do also adjust production based on demand. If there was a demand for PS5 of 150M at the release, they would have increased capacity those numbers in mind. If there were not enough parts or materials, they would have increased purchasing those parts from suppliers, knowing that the demand is so high that they can increase the price.

Yes! This is good then! I never played the original, none of the games actually, and was waiting for this. I think this may be a great way to test my new 4090 at 4K 75" 144hz using DLSS (humble brag, but I'm just super excited to upgrade to a new level of gaming so I'm talking about it everywhere! And just to say it was a lot of money to me, and I'm selling my old HW to finance parts of the upgrade! TV was cheap, though!) . Very keen to test this out~!

This console generation is about PC! In our family only Switch will remain an exclusive platform, there's no reason not to use PC as the main gaming platform. All but Switch consoles exclusives eventually find their way in an enhanced format to PC. This is a first in the gaming history, PC has most of the exclusives, both from Playstation and Xbox. Just ordered my RTX 4090 iChill Frostbite today, and also 5800X3D and a new 144hz 75" TV, so my body, soul and hardware is ready! I do think that it will be a 4K DLSS3 60-90fps experience with RT nearly maxed out, but if it will be truly path traced, I would presume we are around 30-45fps with DLSS3!

Fully agreed. FF15 is so called Kusoge ("crap game") in Japan, and FF7 Remake is a Disney version of the original, but includes bad pacing, filler episode anime storyline and worse music. Oh yeah! I've got two dualsense controllers, one for PC one for PS5. I had too hook it up by wire to the PC to get the haptic feedback working, but it is worth it! Returnal on PC is my first Haptic Feedback experience and woah, it truly is amazing. Gotto try Astrobot later. (My PC is like 5meters away from my sofa in a frikkin closet, because I hate noisy electronics.)
