That's what it always looked like to me. Never bought into the hype. People hype a lot of games nowadays. FFXVI is one as well, the 20min gameplay reveal looked to be super generic, specifically the environmental art was a let down, and the sponge type enemies just didn't do it for me. (just like FFVII Remake).
I'm very surprised Diablo IV is living up to the hype, though, and possibly may get that one. When it comes to SoulsBorne games, I'll stick with From...
They lost most of their staff, because they hated the Redfall project. So it is essentially destroyed, does not exist as it was before.
Hmm, this sounds promising. I really disliked Diablo 3 as they went to the completely wrong direction. DII Resurrection and DIV caught my attention, though. Maybe I'll try it out then! Frikkin expensive game as well.
I really didn't like Diablo 3, but I loved the first two.
I don't like Multiplayer in my Diablo. Is the IV campaign better or on par with the 1st and 2nd? If it is, I will buy this. Am about pull the trigger, but really just want to do a single player offline type (I know it's always online) of playthrough and leave it there. Not interested in endgame, I want the story and that's it. IF the game is superb, then I may want to play it again aka New Game+ with the same character if the 2nd playthrough has extras added and the loot keeps bei...
Just as well as Terminator can work without James Cameron.
Possibly. The logitech one might work. After seeing Switch OLED, I'd very much like an OLED screen, so perhaps an oled tablet.
I'd like something like this for both Steam and PS5. I want a 8" 1080p 120hz OLED screen, seamless streaming at home. Just to sit back at sofa when someone else is using the TV, or playing at bed just before going to sleep. Can't play on the go, because I'm always tied up with doing business when on the move.
I guess the ROG Ally is the closest to this, and it could also be taken with you, but I don't want to fork out 5x the price just for the "pla...
I may just have to start playing the series again starting with this. The story is superb.
@OtterX
I've never bought a headset, but am very curious to buy one. I have PS5 and RTX4090 with 5800X3D, so I only really want to have something for PC, nothing more. I don't want to stand, I want to play sitting, something like Alyx. I wonder if this is a solid starting point (in case I don't like VR) or if I should go big with some of the more advanced sets. Maybe 2023/2024 will be transformative, so I might as well wait a bit.
One thing I...
I fully agree. I don't have anything against the homebrew communities and creations, and I get the "freedom to do what I want with what I buy" argument, but I feel for the people who create art and it's taken from their hands exactly as is, and then put into a container in which it was never meant to be. It's like watching a 16:9 24p movie at 48fps at 4:3 and auto HDR on, and having some image and performance quality problems while at it. That's not how the creator w...
I'd rather invest in a home-theater, cook some good food and bake something sweet using a sour dough base, drink home-made juice made from berries with some sodastreamed bubble water in it, chill back at a big sofa with a lot of space and quiet environment, and look at an amazing 4K picture quality at 85" Mini-led/OLED, and enjoy extremely crisp and balanced high-end audio at more reasonable volume, and watch a superb movie or two while having the ability to take breaks!
Turn-based is alive and well: Pokemon, Dragon Quest, XCom, Civilization, Homeworld, Age of Wonders, Total War, Original Sin, Baldur's Gate, Warhammer, Yu-Gi-Oh, Company of Heroes, Wasteland, Pathfinder, Disco Elysium, Octopath Traveler, Chained Echoes and many, many more great games, both new and old, franchises and new IPs are selling well, reviewing well and sequels are coming.
If you don't play the game, maybe the turn-based has just died in/for you, but certainl...
Yeah, Sonic Chains.
Backwards compatibility is actually a big issue for the next Nintendo console.
The chip architecture will be completely different so they essentially have to create an emulator or do it over the cloud, both which are not great solutions and introduce real problems. That is also one of the reasons the successor to Switch is releasing so late, they don't know how to solve the backward compatibility issue from a technical point of view.

@shinoff2183
Those are very fair points and I fully understand what you are saying. I do, however, personally think that there is too much plastic in the world, and as recent studies have shown, this is the reason humans have increased amounts of microplastic in their blood circulation (including infants when they are born!) I think the only solution is to 100% recycle (which is not realistic) or simply cease new plastic production (which is not realistic either), so the on...
Another very weird article.
Nintendo is a great company by almost all possible normal measures. The biggest one being: their own staff is happy, and they seem to be very happy, well compensated and retain rate is solid. They are also financially very stable, profitable, and cash rich, so shareholders love them.
Overall it is an extremely creative group of people, and their mission statement is fantastic as well "to put smiles on the faces of everyone...
You should also think about the environmental side to the physical products. It's typically the worst kind of hard plastic that ends up in dumps and therefore later in the sea or burnt in a way that it releases toxic chemicals. Plus the energy to produce, package and ship it around the world. This all affects the environment. But perhaps you don't care and think everyone who thinks like that is a hippie, because you want the physical product.
Before you start, no I ...
You are correct.
If I create a piece of art, I am in control of how I want to distribute it, if at all.
Such an entitled and self-centered article.
@CrimsonWing69
Cheers for asking after my negative comment lol ! It's one of those days full of work and very little sleep and many home duties. But always time to answer at N4G!
