Show us a single sony Exclusive first person running in 1080p @ 60fps. clearly if the PS3 had the power sony would have managed to make a single first person in 1080p.
In fact only 5% of the PS3's games run in 1080p which clearly shows how limited the PS3 is in hardware capabilities.
True because 360 and PS3 are very simular in hardware power. Yes there might be small differences. However in comparison even entry level PC hardware of today is generations ahead of the PS3 or the 360.
@Raztad
If Mag has crappy graphics, then thats the compromise with having larger maps. Clearly the PS3 hardware is dated and cant handle large maps and good graphics at the same time.
If you dont think PS3 is dated, then go on please tell me 1 first person shooter on the PS3 that runs in 1080p @60fps. keep looking there are none. This is due to the fact that first person shooters are the most resource hungry genre. Consoles simply dont have the hardware t...
If an Intel CPU is used backward compatibility will probably be compromised. If an Intel GPU is used it will have a hard time keeping up with the entry level graphics cards on the market today.
Lets hope nothing from Intel is used.
@bhai
You got 2 whole genres missing on the PS3 MMO, RTS. While the PS3 does First person shooter its not even comparable to the First person shooters on the PC. If any system is lacking games its the PS3.
@steve
You dont need a highend PC to beat a PS3. 400usd PC will be enough. In fact the higher prices of PS3 games ensure PS3 is much more costly then the PC in the long run.
If PS3 has exclusives, so does the PC and dont forget 95% of games are multiplats, Guess which platform runs those the best :P. Some multiplat releases may be present on the PS3 but arent even worth counting.
Why do you call yourself HDgamer then?
Panda probably plays 100% of his games in in 1080p or above. PS3 on the other hand limits you to about 5% of its games in 1080p, sadly there is nothing you can do about it. Have fun being limited while paying more.
Personally i dont care about the PS3 exclusives. Yes some of them are good. But lets get realistic here, they are 8hr games at best. Once you play them you are done with them, no replay value at all for the most of them.
Popular PS3 exclusives:
Uncharted series
Gow of war
I cant think of any other games i would really like to buy the PS3 for, both the above mentioned games are 8 hr experiences at best.
Yea th...
Yep waiting on a review myself before i buy this. Though i got so many games left to play on my steam account, might just wait for the winter discounts to pick this up. I am sure Steam will have this up for discount on the winter holiday sales.
You arent a gamer then. Where will the next gen console come from? If PC as a gaming platform no longer exists?
"a console nowadays tends to be a primary option cause its easy,cheap and 100% garantee you ill get quality titles. "
Dont let the 300usd price tag on consoles delude you mate. After you add in all the extras console gaming is much more costly then PC.
Xbox 360 for instance
50 XBL per year * 5years = 250usd
20games bought per year * 10(because console games cost more)= 200usd * 5 years = 1000
There ...
Lol is all i can say.
Console gamers hoping PC gaming dies, should think again. There wont be an ATI or Nvidia around next gen if PC gaming died. We can say bye bye to any graphics progression.
If anything Console gamers should be supporting the idea of PC as a gaming machine even if they dont game on it, since thats where the tech is developed and later on passed down.
"So the console versions still work off a radial menu while the PC build runs off a quick bar along the bottom"
This is great news, playing dragon age with mouse and keyboard was an awesome experience glad they kept it that way.
Lol so they expect us to fork out 60usd just for new maps and few gameplay changes. Few months later they will drop support for the game to promote their next FPS BF3.
Edit: I wonder will the people who recently bought BC2 just few months back @60usd again buy this and then be ready to buy another FPS BF3 few months later. Looks like EA and activision are in full milking mode.
@hyperbear
Agreed, Which is why i feel having a PC for multiplats and PC exclusives + a PS3 for Sony Exclusives will be the best combination for the foreseable future.
No real convincing reason to own an Xbox specially with the Live charges and expensive accessories.
Sonys gaming division made loss of 890million USD for the last year alone, which dragged the entire company into a loss of 438million usd.
Bottom line is both the console makers are in deep losses.
Edit: people spamming the disagree button i know it hurts when your favorite company is making losses after all the support you are throwing in, but facts are facts:

DLCs for maps you have already played on in previous Cod games.
3DTVs are simply too costly at the moment and 3D games on consoles are very limited.
The better option is to get a 300usd 24inch 3D monitor, use rest of the money on a PC gaming rig. Even a 1000usd by todays account will make a beastly gaming rig that will run 3D in 1080p. Also the fact there are atleast 300 3D enabled games on PC.
You mention MW2 is not a great game graphically, yet forget that current consoles cant play it in HD?
Cheapest way to game right now assuming someone already has a 3-4 year old pc would be to get a gpu which would cost 150 usd-200usd (cheaper then any console) and will provide gaming experience far superior.
Next step would be to get games on discount on steam. I purchased bioshock2 for 14usd few weeks after launch on steam. Metro 2033 for 24usd. The games run in 1080p and high res textures unlike the console versions which cost more and may even be sub hd.
